I’d link the power into the interior lights so that they work with the doors opening.. that’s what I did on my mk5 👍

I had some previous in my mk5 golf linked to the interior lights but can't find any to buy like it anymore as all have that massive cigarette lighter switch. How do you link the power into the interior lights?
Mine fell off after a week 😢
If the cigarette port doesn’t work and you have a wire coming off the battery already could you cut and join the power button onto the wire and have it run off the ignition?
If the cig lighter isnt working cuz of a broken cycle, find the the break repair and Connect positive to positive and negative to negative - but yes, and you need is constant positive and negative for these to work. Anything giving that with ignition or the car turned on would do it.
Amazing review! How do you feel about installing this on leased cars? Would it be easy to dismantle and install again and do you think the adhesive or cable management will leave marks?
I think it would be easy to remove so long as you’re careful with installation! Adhesive wont do any harm, its good 3m stuff.

Have you ever thought about wiring them into a piggyback from the fuse box instead of the cig lighter?
Yes you could do this or do it from the cig power behind the dash. We just did this for ease of use and easy removal.
@@ItsDanLatham I wana do it from the way you’ve described - via the cig lighter power for a more subtle appeal. Is it hard or literally just positive/negatives?

the cigarette plug was too big for my car
You can wire it in to the socket if necessary.
