I’m so happy that I discovered this series around 1995. My daughter & I spent many enjoyable hours watching them. I will never forget them. I thank these wonderful actors for the joy they brought to us. RIP❤
Janice, I was about to say those exact same words. There's nothing tragic about death, you are born, you live for a while, then you die. Great! Lucky to have had the experience of existing for a little while.
I also started watching on PBS - funniest show ever! What they could get away with in Britain but never in the US amazed me! I still watch episodes in UA-cam when I can find them!
I once watched this programme with US work colleagues knowing what Mrs Slocumbe favourite phrase was. The reaction was hysterical. “What did that old woman say??!”
The man was easy to understand, and the word tragically wasn’t use out of line. You might need your hearing checked, and to look up the word tragic. Perhaps for him it was a tragedy. You overreacted in your comment.
I never heard about this show until I was browsing on UA-cam one day and didn’t know what to watch and I came across this show and decided to watch an episode on UA-cam. It was interesting and then I wanted to see another and another and another. So I decided to buy to complete series on dvd from Amazon. After watching the entire series I enjoyed it so much that I watched it over again and again and again and it became one of my favorite TV shows now. The interesting part for me was that it started in 1972. That’s the year I was born 1972 that’s very interesting. My favorite actor on the show is John Inman.
I can't believe how young they were when they were on the show. Mrs. Slocolm was 50? Old Mr Grace was in his 50s and Mr. Rumbold was in his 30s? That can't be right. They all seemed older.
Wedy died from Breast cancer. They didn't say what was their cause of death. But I guess no matter what age you pass. It's sad. May they all RIP. This was one of my favorite British Comedys. I still watch every sat on GPTV. Vee.✌️🕯️🌻🦋🙏🙂👋👣
All died tragically? Maybe Wendy Richard, perhaps Trevor Bannister (though he was 76) - but the rest of them were knocking on a bit; death isn't tragic - I'm quite looking forward to mine; it'll be an experience..... But come on - Frank Thornton was 92, Harold Bennett had a 60 plus year career, and Arthur Brough's name was pronounced "Bruff", not "Bro" - tsk! Nice to see them again, anyway.
Many them was old age we all won't last for ever if on one station we have on house great laugh I enjoyed the one when young Mr Grace paid for them go on holiday 😅
Many British shows had their voicetracks overdubbed when the originals would disturb the delicate US ear. On the version in the US, was Mrs Slocombe always talking about her ***** ?
😢Shame to lose all of em apart from the nurse my favourite was Mr humphries.. I, m free.. John inman. Bless him.. R. i.P sadly missed but never forgotten
The news of the actor's death is sad news. However, please note that the information may be outdated or inaccurate. Additionally, describing loss as "grieving" or "heartbreaking" can depend on personal perspective.
Miss them all they showing re run of them now what great laugh with all indoendos we all watch them in house good clean fun 😅 thanks information . Gavin in Hastings east Sussex
No mention of Debbie Linden who played one of Mr Grace's dollybird assistants ( they showed a clip of her getting cuddled by him ). Now her death WAS tragic (even if the others' weren't).
Are you free? Surprised they didn’t have at least one. It was a phrase repeated quite often. Back in 91, 92. I was living in a camper to save money for a house. I had antenna tv. A whole 6 inches and black and white. This show was played on pbs. Once you watched it a bit and got to learn the characters it was a good show.
They were all a great talented cast! Love British Comedy
They ALL bought a lot of joy and 'NAUGHTY' smiles to many of our lives in a far more innocent time!...Thank you ALL! Vale!
I’m so happy that I discovered this series around 1995. My daughter & I spent many enjoyable hours watching them. I will never forget them. I thank these wonderful actors for the joy they brought to us. RIP❤
Totally agree 💯 best Gavin Hastings east Sussex
Each was talented & precious in their own way. They're all sadly missed.
They didnt die tragicalĺy they just died
It's inevitable(death,that is).
This guy never watched this show.
Totally agree 😂 all seemingly over 70
The title should have said, "...but sadly, they all died."
Janice, I was about to say those exact same words. There's nothing tragic about death, you are born, you live for a while, then you die. Great! Lucky to have had the experience of existing for a little while.
Thank you for the video
Always watched, Are You Being Served?, on the local PBS TV station, in America.
I love it.
Me too. ❤🎉
I also started watching on PBS - funniest show ever! What they could get away with in Britain but never in the US amazed me! I still watch episodes in UA-cam when I can find them!
*United States
In the 80's Saturdays 13 NET NYC. Use to watch while getting dressed to hit the clubs. MEMORIES!
As an American, I still binge-watched this show
I once watched this programme with US work colleagues knowing what Mrs Slocumbe favourite phrase was. The reaction was hysterical. “What did that old woman say??!”
Are You Being Served and Upstairs, Downstairs were my favorite shows in the 1970's. Thanks for the video!
Mine were Are You Being Served? & Keeping Up Appearances ❤
Loved them so much as well as Keeping Up Appearances!
One of my all time favorite shows. I was fortunate enough to meet Molly Sugden, Frank Thornton and John Inman. What a thrill!
So lucky😊
We were all tuned in to Are You Being Served in the 70's.
Loved by all in Melbourne Australia. English sitcom's were the best. XOXO.
One of the best sitcoms of all time... You sat that on every sitcom you show..?
They bought us much laughter
So sad they are no longer with us
It’s a tragic event for any family when they lose their loved ones.
of course
I could not understand the narrator. Also, the cast died tragically is a clickbait title. This disgusts me.
The man was easy to understand, and the word tragically wasn’t use out of line. You might need your hearing checked, and to look up the word tragic. Perhaps for him it was a tragedy. You overreacted in your comment.
It's a great show - I still watch every now and then .
No ONE DIED TRAGICALLY, you are misleading very bad dispatching wrong information
Maybe Wendy Richard ! : however that’s it ! Crazy ‘drawing in’ headline but that’s the way YT posts are ! Boring isn’t it !!
Loved this show.
such a good comedy. RIP to all those who have passed away. it seems most in their 70`s - sad
Watched for years and spread the word to friends...
I love, love this show..I got it on DVD...❤❤❤
I absolutely loved that sit com!! …and I’m unanimous in that to quote Mrs Slocum!! 🙏🙏
The good old times. Thank you for uploading.
Mike Berry isn't dead. He played Mr Spooner. He's 81.
Still have those video tapes.
Greetings from the Netherlands
We all die suddenly, one second we are alive the next we are dead .,
They didn't died suddenly
There was an Australian version of Are you being served and Mr Humphries was in it.
Only ran for 16 episodes over two seasons in 1980 & 1981.
Love this show❤ I still watch it on Saturday night.❤❤
Very sad they're all gone. R.I.P. 🌹🥀 💐🕯💔.
Mike Berry is still alive at 81,even though he came later in 1981 as Mr. Spooner.
Mrs grace nurse is still alive too

If you’re interested, there’s a recent VSauce video you can watch about how people in old pictures looked older.
Weird that lucas was older than humphries and remained junior all the time.
They were so great in their roles. Iconic!
I watch AYBS all the time, still. I love this show and miss the actors that have passed. Always good memories 😊
I used to watch this with my grandmother before bed growing up. She was the same age as them. She sadly passed away as well😢
I dig them all see y’all on the other side
I was chatting to Vivienne Johnson in her garden yesterday, she's alive and kicking and enjoying life.
Some of these people lived into their nineties! What is tragic about that?
I love that show.
So basically they got old and died!’ Pure clickbait, they didn’t die tragically at all
Wedy died from Breast cancer. They didn't say what was their cause of death.
But I guess no matter what age you pass. It's sad. May they all RIP. This was one of my favorite British Comedys. I still watch every sat on GPTV. Vee.✌️🕯️🌻🦋🙏🙂👋👣
It was good to see them all in 'Grace & Favour' from 1991-92. The lovely and charming Fleur Bennett was in the cast.
Luckily for us Folk who loved them all we got then in Grace and Favor
Thanks my friend 😊
Is this narrated by a person or AI? And you left out Penny Johnson (Young Mr. Grace's Secretary) and Alfie Bass (Mr. Goldberg).
All died tragically? UA-cam is just a internet version of a tabloid from what I see
Everyone seems to forget the guy that replaced Trevor Bannister, Mike Berry. Why no mention of him here?
He had a hit song as well, I believe. Sunshine of your smile.
Many British shows had their voicetracks overdubbed when the originals would disturb the delicate US ear. On the version in the US, was Mrs Slocombe always talking about her ***** ?
Everyone looked so much older in the the 70s & 80s.
And you forgot Mr. Spooner.
Mike Berry - I believe he’s still alive.
In every one of your videos you say they all died tragically, most of them died from old age!
It’s AMAZNG how they all died “suddenly”.
I think he's saying "sadly". Hard to tell with the accent.
@@alastairstaunton7081 That would make since I guess, but it’s an AI voice.
@@alastairstaunton7081 Also, I loved that old timey show. Such great goofy characters!
No A I please :(
I always watched and enjoyed this show on telly over here inAustralia 👍 Au
Rest in God's good love dear ones 🌹🌹🌹
Now let's all go shopping at Grace Brothers🤗
Frank Thornton was also in last of the summer wine Truly
‘Truly of the Yard’
Vivian Johnson is still alive though!
Still watching BBC Americas now
You missed Arthur English who played Mr Harman in 48 episodes , he was the handyman , he died SUDDENLY in 1995, aged 75.
He’s mentioned at the 5.36 mark
@@kiarabeavis3922 did he, I must have got distracted and missed it , my bad
Mr Spooner?
@@wendyvisser8497 He was a great comedian before he was in the show.
Thats right
All except mike who was not an original.
Hes 80+ now.
All of them were very talented but by far Mr. Humphries was the best ever!
They just got old and passed away. At least they left something behind to remember them by.
For their ages then they looked a lot older
This is misleading that they all died tragically… This voice over is used also to claim other actors have died and yet they are still alive…
Best comedy programme ever. I'm free!!! Men's wear, going down! The pc brigade wouldn't allow this tv programme today!
No, they wouldn't!
What is tragically about people who die a normal death?? Thumbs down!
Fantastic show 😅😊
RIP to comic legends. She's the last one left bless her
Rumbold was only 38????????
Yes hard to believe indeed.
I hate these bullshit clickbate collections.
😢Shame to lose all of em apart from the nurse my favourite was Mr humphries.. I, m free.. John inman. Bless him.. R. i.P sadly missed but never forgotten

Agree most have been dead for years now,, he needs to get his facts right .
The original Mr Grace was the best,
Whoever does this ceap. It does not go down well in the UK
CRAP
Totally agree!! They could at least employ someone with a better command of the English language!!
@@timwinters2343
A fast spoken Chinese chap is clearly cheaper...
I watch this last yr and this yr uk has some good old shows
Unless i am bad at math. But how can James hayter be 71 in 1972, And die when he was 75 of age in 1983?.
Actually, a lot of the math doesn't work out.
Hayter joined in 1978 then he was 71
@@ronaldjager729 Ah now it make sense thank you...xD
Great 👍 actor one of the best rip
Although the text is right on screen, the original Mr. Grace is “Young” Mr. Grace. Old Mr. Grace doesn’t get about much!
This video is tragic.
none died tragically...when your times up thats it... allfab actors and actress plus youforgot to name the sequel..Grace and favour
Why is the announcer saying suddenly passed away
It's an Asian narrator.
With some speech challenges...
😚
Molly was my favorite. I loved how she could turn words around and make them sound nasty when it wasn't meant to be LOL
So sad I absolutely loved his
THEY SHOULD'VE MADE A TEAM UP MOVIE. WITH HER & C.R. IT'S BEEN A HIT.👌👌👌
👏👏👏 Treasure! 💞💞💞💞
How about not being so lazy and tell us how they died..
Poor editing. Why cut the dialog?
Miss them all they showing re run of them now what great laugh with all indoendos we all watch them in house good clean fun 😅 thanks information . Gavin in Hastings east Sussex
Didn't know the casts ages & how old the show was✔️
A wonderful time i love 😘 the people who gave a smile to me 😍
mollie the 1st person too have many colors of hairstyles compared too now lol
No mention of Debbie Linden who played one of Mr Grace's dollybird assistants ( they showed a clip of her getting cuddled by him ). Now her death WAS tragic (even if the others' weren't).
Well they can now all answer the question "Are you free?" with "Yes, I'm free"
What about Mr Grainger who was played by Arthur Brough?
He died after the 5th season ended in 1977 and was replaced by James Hayter the following season as Mr. Tebbs
Are you free? Surprised they didn’t have at least one. It was a phrase repeated quite often. Back in 91, 92. I was living in a camper to save money for a house. I had antenna tv. THEY ALL SEEMED WAY OLDER THAN THEIR REAL AGES AT THE TIME ????
Clinical Ai generated voice ! No emotion or understanding or compassion .
Ms. Brahams from a second recurrence of prostrate cancer.
Mr. Grainger from a broken heart after the death of his wife.
