Thanks for stopping by, have a nice day! 🍀
Add a lot of fertilizer. And at the end of the season cut up and bury the stocks in the planting bed. This really works I do it every year.
What kind of fertrilizer?
Great video thanks! I have never grown corn before, but this year I’m giving it a go. I’ve just soaked the seeds and have sown them in to a seedling mix. Fingers crossed 🤞 Looking forward to watching the process unfold here in New Zealand 😊
Corn is very easy and enjoyable to grow, especially the harvest is enjoyable 😋
Thank You very much, happy gardening 🍀☺️
We all must explore other method such as air and water method grow plants many success now 😊
Plants needs lot fresh air wind rain sun too we also can’t stay indoor all the night outdoor activity helps us have stronger everything and we know farmers stronger than city ppl too and regardless where we are we must solve our organic food myth first 😂😊
Your videos are perfect!. Short and you explain everything!!

Will plant it and let's hope that it'll work 🙏
It will! Good luck 🍀😉
Waw I love how precise with the information and the video is helpful.
How many piece of corn did you put in the smaller container.
I put one plant in each container. And both produced 2 corn cobs, but the second one was significantly smaller 🙂
Nice, I'm growing some in grow bags. Did some last year but the Racoons decided that it was for them 😓
Have you prepared anyhow against them this year? We don't have such animals over here 🌍
Soil have other problems too such as dirty expensive heavy 😊limited supply 😊
Great information... How many corn cobb/ears produced by 1 plant?
Hello, both plants were able to produce two corn cobbs, but the second ones were significantly smaller than the ones I harvested first.
Great video. Did you hand pollinate the corn?
Thank you. No I didn’t, the wind did 🙂
In the store they sell sweetcorn in the freezer. Can i thaw them, dry them in the sun and use them for planting? Will that work?
Beautiful harvest. I wonder if I could grow corn in my grow tent?
Thank you. I think it’s possible, though you would need grow tent with some serious height. Or another option would be choosing some small corn variety 🙂🌽
@@Liap it's a 5.5 ft x 10 ft. Do you think that would suffice?
Also, I live in Arizpna and so I have to grow indoors for most things anyway. Although corn does well here my soul is hard clay. Even when I attempt to mulch and prepare it with other mediums. The heat kills most of the crops.
I may get it wrong, but these are probably width and depth measurements? Let's say you will grow a corn that grows 150cm tall (almost 5 ft) plus you will want to have some gap between the top of your plants and the growlight (1 ft atleast), means you will need your grow tent to be 180-200 cm tall (5 ft 10 to 6 ft 6).
Corn can grow quite well in soil that is clayey. If you live in area with very hot summer, I would suggest you start them in february/march. Most of the corn varieties are ready to harvest in 70-90 days which means you can harvest them right before the summer heat.
Great video. I learned many things. What was the name of the type of corn you planted please ?
The variety is called “Andrea F1”. It is mid-late sweet corn 🌽
Free shipping no I have no
How do you keep bugs of it
We may have to always grow our pets and organic foods indoor protected too as I showed how 😊
Drain a hole in most hard plastic is hard too also damage that container
I am growing a corn plant 🌽🌽
I am eagerly waiting for my corn 🌽 to harvest
That sounds great! Good luck! 🌽🙂
Water method may also ok 😊
My previous problem is no drain 😊
I cant find sweet corn seed anywhere ... but can i use the one from the store which is already packed ??
Yes you can If they are not processed somehow 🙂
Hi, are the seeds from store bought popcorn kernels?
Hello. No these are from seed company. The variety is "Andrea F1" as far as I remember.
How many fruits in one plant did you get
Two corn cobs 🌽🌽
Was the corn dried before yoi keave it to sprout
Hello, yes these were store-bought seeds.
Alright thanks
What were the types of fertilizers you used?
Nettle fertilizer and compost tea/fish mix.
Thanks.
How did you make sure all of the kernels were pollinated with just a single stalk by itself?
I didn’t, the wind did 🙂
You can hand pollinate them.
@@julliana2ify yes you can and sometimes it’s necessary to hand pollinate corn especially If you grow just few plants. This one was grown on the balcony where it doesn’t have much wind protection so I didn’t have to hand pollinate it.
Did the plants only produce one corn?
Each plant produced 2 corn cobs , but the second one was significantly smaller in size.
I am growing corn in my container how long it will take to grow.
That is very much dependant on the variety you grow and also on the weather. Some early varieties need just 8-10 weeks, but some will require up to 14 weeks to produce their corn cobs 🌽
@@Liap I am in Hawaii so it should grow okay.
@@deandunn414 Yes it will :)
