That's reason I would not want to live in a world with randomized ability based power systems like X-men and Hero Academia. Not every one's gonna win the lottery and get a cool power, most are gonna be lame, some may even be detrimental, I could even be a hazard to those around me.

But on the other hand they also implied that quirks are getting stronger over the generations as a whole with the Bakugo kindergarten babysitting story and the 3rd movie the doomsday cult. I think it's implied the quirks are getting stronger specifically because of accidental quirk breading.

The x men are the single worst superhero group in comic history. A single mutated gene wouldn't even change your appearance but apparently it can mean you're a bird, or have claws, or can literally save anyone, or are made of gold and shoot lazers from your eyes. It's the single laziest origin in comic book history. Random mad scientists and people who snap from daily life is a more realistic story than random a mutant gene that you either have or don't have and there's literally absolutely nothing to tell why one person has it and another doesn't. They're the laziest characters to ever be created and they add so much drama and bullshit to get you to care about their shitty characters and it only gets me to hate them more because now, not only are they dumb as fuck but also now they're not even cool. If you think about it, it would kinda make sense that these kinds of mutants exist. It’s in the word itself “mutant”, not everyone can become a Jean Gray or a Wolverine due to being exposed to radiations or being the subject of some depraved scientific experiment. Some people, if not most, just end up with deformities like this. It all depends on your body’s constitution and how it reacts to such factors.

Whenever you're off of work that is) I'm a fallen angel and I remember everything from the day I was awake, but I don't remember any angels looking like what was said, but then again, humans don't actually know anything about the spiritual realm. For all I know they could've made it up cause humans like to lie *or* it could've been one of the fallen angels that became demons that was seen and they thought that was an angel because it once was and was most likely transformed into something that closely resembled one but also not so closely to be able to actually defer them because us angels actually look like humans... Well, most of us. Some ranks look like monsters or animals even. Some even look like half of a human and animal like a centaur, minotaur or whatever. Also, there are definitely some baby looking angels, but they are actually clothed.😅 I never got to see what the transformed fallen angels turn into so I can only guess, but what matters is that I know the truth(and tell it 24/7) and important information to save this world from getting destroyed, but unfortunately only like 12 or 13 ppl realized it's the truth so the world is still gonna be destroyed. What's even worse is that the Bibles don't even tell the full truth and so whoever believes in the entire fully won't be able to go to Heaven. As a matter of fact, only like 10 or 15% of Christians in the world have gone to Heaven in the total of the entire history of this universe :/ That's how bad it is. You can do experiments to see if the spiritual realm is real but a lot of the stuff I say is personal since I am literally this world's Savior. Catherine’s ability is not really an ability but a real rare genetic disorder. It’s called Maple syrup urine disease (or MSUD) which as implied makes urine smell sweet like maple syrup. I guess it’s technically an ability since she is an old woman and most with MSDU don’t really live to adulthood

100%. Being a mutant in the Marvel sense isn't a thing that automatically makes you a super hero/villain. Primarily it just makes you a weirdo and sets you apart from baseline humans. Only some people get to fly or throw fireballs or whatever. Even the mutants with "cool" powers often have catches, tho (Cyclops can't open his eyes unless he's wearing special lenses, Rogue can't touch people normally), and having a perfectly controllable and useful power is sort of winning the genetic lottery. So yeah. Big fan of useless mutations in X-Men.

IMO the existence of seemingly useless mutations makes the whole existence of mutants feel more realistic. Would be weird if everyone got a genetic mutation that gave them an awesome superpower because a LOT of mutations in real life lead to disfiguration or disease. Makes sense that some of them are less cool or even harmful
Honestly, most of these straight up feel more like real life genetic mutations. Except Eye Boy, he is just dealing with an aesthetically cool but physically eye watering (literally) existence. Like idk, being covered in super durable, painless eyes? Cool as heck. Covered in eyes that are a normal degree of squishy and fragile? It's wild he hasn't lost any yet literally how do you even build protective armour for that? It makes him the rare logical candidate for how a lot of women's fantasy armour is designed I guess??
In high school I came up with a whole bunch of “useless power” type characters. My basic idea was my main girl (who had a sixth sense that mostly just made her get horribly overstimulated all the time) was gonna put together a support group at her school, and then friendship and hijinks would ensue. I never did anything with it though
I think most have similar ideas. Mine wasn't useless powers but powers that were so dangerous or manipulative people just couldn't trust the people with them.
To be fair eyeboy would make a great camera watcher. Put him in a Speedo and have him control multiple camera drones or bots in a 360 camera room. It keeps him out of danger while also being useful.

The entire story of the origin of the Jack-o-lantern is this. He couldn't go to heaven or hell and people slowly stopped being able to see him, so he started carrying a trnip or pumpkin lantern so people would see the light from that and realize he was there.

Of all of the weird bodies in X-men then Eyeboy seams like he would be one of the weirdest. Sure it would be weird to do surgery on someone who have blue skin, fur or the skin of a frog, but this guy must have optic nerves everywhere. One wrong move and he loose sight in three of his eyes on his arm. What if he needs glasses. What if there’s just one of his eyes that needs glasses.
Imagine if he had one on his foot. Imagine *walking* on that foot. Imagine wearing a shoe over that foot and getting all *sweaty.* Imagine the *pink eye.* Imagine *kicking a football.* Imagine if you *stubbed your toe.* *Imagine getting a splinter.* A living hell if I’ve ever seen it.

Even the amount of eyes on his face isn’t consistent. But yeah, sweat would always be a problem for him. He would also have to be really careful with sunscreen, if he went anywhere hot. There’s just such an unimaginable amount of inconvenience for him, unless his eyes have some extra layer of protection besides eyelids. I don’t know if it would be really awesome or horrifying if he instead of fully formed eyes, had these bumps with eyeballs under them. That could actually be an interesting concept. A sudo eye, under a protective layer of skin. He is said to be able to see different things with some of them anyway. Maybe a layer of skin wouldn’t be in the way of an eye that see inferred anyway

You can either get something really cool like reality warping or being Superman, or you are like Beak. Or worse like that kid whose power is to explode, once. Or that one kid in the Ultimate Universe with the power of having a city block sized aura that destroys living tissue.
i like how these mutants have aliases describing their powers like the actual powerful people. it comes across either as taunting them with the fact that their powers are useless, or just mean nicknames unrelated to the concept of a superhero alias.

Actually always liked that mutants like this exist... it grounds the universe to say these mutations are random, sometimes useful, sometimes very situationally useful, and sometimes a downright disability. Rogue for example is one of my favourites... a fantastic example of a power that is only really useful if you're a pyschopath or if you're in this universe... and even then the cost isn't usually worth the benefit. The struggle of her character, especially as someone who is a Southern Belle whose culture is usually very social and not physically shy, creates such a great conflict in her character for her to overcome, and leads to some truly heartfelt moments.
Catherine Saccharine’s power kind of just reminds me of Maple Syrup Urine Desease. (Yes, that’s real, look it up. I even did a whole school project on it!) Maple Syrup Urine Disease (or MSUD) is just like what it sounds like, your urine smells sweet and syrupy like maple syrup. If I recall correctly, it often also affects sweat and earwax. Only difference is that MSUD does NOT make you taste like syrup, so don’t try it

Eyeboy actually has some pretty useful eyes. Some shoot beams...not as powerful as Cyclops. Some can see and track magical auras. He has specific eyes that can see in different EM spectrum waves. He he can see anything that's invisible because he has an eye that specifically can see only invisible things. Also DJ had music powers. I think he was related to a minor enemy that only appeared once. She had blue skin and similar powers. They basically produce different effects based on what music they listened to. He never used his powers on page but, he had a profile in New X-Men Yearbook Annual....I think that was the name.
I think mutants with useless powers (or, to be more accurate, no powers with just a visual difference) makes sense and works. It is a problem if they try putting them in actual missions or send them into the Danger Room, but as just students of Xavier Academy (or similar schools) or citizens of other mutant communities it works. It shows that they are just people that are different in ways that we aren't used to and highlights the evilness of the anti-mutant villains with them being just as willing to kill these guys as they are Magneto.
The fun part about long neck is that in the no more mutants storyline is his neck snaps under it's own weight due to him losing his abilities but it doesn't just shorten his neck but make it to where it isn't strong enough to support the length
I think that these mutant abilities in my opinion (except eyeboy) show that the mutant hatred in the Marvel universe is just so completely shitty. Like Jazz and Longneck, they are just a bit different, but they're still mutants look at all the bad mutants do to human society! Everybody is different and we shouldn't treat others worse for their differences.

That's reason I would not want to live in a world with randomized ability based power systems like X-men and Hero Academia. Not every one's gonna win the lottery and get a cool power, most are gonna be lame, some may even be detrimental, I could even be a hazard to those around me.

But on the other hand they also implied that quirks are getting stronger over the generations as a whole with the Bakugo kindergarten babysitting story and the 3rd movie the doomsday cult. I think it's implied the quirks are getting stronger specifically because of accidental quirk breading.

The x men are the single worst superhero group in comic history. A single mutated gene wouldn't even change your appearance but apparently it can mean you're a bird, or have claws, or can literally save anyone, or are made of gold and shoot lazers from your eyes. It's the single laziest origin in comic book history. Random mad scientists and people who snap from daily life is a more realistic story than random a mutant gene that you either have or don't have and there's literally absolutely nothing to tell why one person has it and another doesn't. They're the laziest characters to ever be created and they add so much drama and bullshit to get you to care about their shitty characters and it only gets me to hate them more because now, not only are they dumb as fuck but also now they're not even cool. They're lame, sad, self pitying losers who should've never been created

If you think about it, it would kinda make sense that these kinds of mutants exist. It’s in the word itself “mutant”, not everyone can become a Jean Gray or a Wolverine due to being exposed to radiations or being the subject of some depraved scientific experiment. Some people, if not most, just end up with deformities like this. It all depends on your body’s constitution and how it reacts to such factors.

I'm a fallen angel and I remember everything from the day I was awake, but I don't remember any angels looking like what was said, but then again, humans don't actually know anything about the spiritual realm. For all I know they could've made it up cause humans like to lie *or* it could've been one of the fallen angels that became demons that was seen and they thought that was an angel because it once was and was most likely transformed into something that closely resembled one but also not so closely to be able to actually defer them because us angels actually look like humans... Well, most of us. Some ranks look like monsters or animals even. Some even look like half of a human and animal like a centaur, minotaur or whatever. Also, there are definitely some baby looking angels, but they are actually clothed.😅
I never got to see what the transformed fallen angels turn into so I can only guess, but what matters is that I know the truth(and tell it 24/7) and important information to save this world from getting destroyed, but unfortunately only like 12 or 13 ppl realized it's the truth so the world is still gonna be destroyed. What's even worse is that the Bibles don't even tell the full truth and so whoever believes in the entire fully won't be able to go to Heaven. As a matter of fact, only like 10 or 15% of Christians in the world have gone to Heaven in the total of the entire history of this universe :/ That's how bad it is. You can do experiments to see if the spiritual realm is real but a lot of the stuff I say is personal since I am literally this world's Savior. God literally made me the smartest(being the smartest means knowing better, common sense wise) and wisest Being but the strongest angel because He made me to Protect and serve all of the universes that exist which is really hard and it's breaking me down ;-; I don't even feel like doing it anymore :/ At least ever since I had that vision showing me that in 2018, I've never been wrong because I know how to use my intuition and instincts 😊

My life is a wreck and I still don't know where to start since my two oldest brothers are having a hard time keeping a good job because of a-holes and my disease. I want to get rid of the disease because I feel like it's one of the few things that can help me get going but I need my brothers to make an appointment which costs money of fking course and the other one is to find my soul mate again(At least I know he is somewhat close by to the school and which way to go sort of) and get our powers and features back which will hopefully also get rid of my disease. My disease is so bad that I've been on the crutch since like July or August last year and now I'm suddenly back in the hospital often again! Back then when I was young(I'm 20 now turning 21 in August) I would be in the hospital 3 to 7 times a year and I haven't been in the hospital for 2 years until this February. I've been in 3 times already >:( Bone infarction, got a crisis in my lungs or ribs and then suddenly my writing hand(left) on my wrist started hurting. The weird part is that my wrist had only been hurting if I put pressure on it and suddenly it's just hurting willy-nilly without needing to put pressure on it?!!?!?!?!??!! I'm so confused as to why it's hurting in the first place. I mean like yeah I've done ballet since I was 3, gymnastics at 7 and then cheerleading at 8, but then I quit at like 13. I started doing yoga like maybe 2 or 3 years ago and stopped the same year and I started doing push ups and sit ups but not for long. I do plan on going back to doing sit ups, but I'd rather just start with a bike first. You know, a bike that doesn't go anywhere. It'd be better to do a bike than a treadmill because I'm a fall risk rn. I need some more vitamin D and calcium to keep my bones strong since I don't go outside as much as I use to... As much as I'd like to... :< Also, eating egg, pork and/or turkey could also be a problem since they are definitely hurting me. I just need to not eat it so much which is hard because gummies and they're all so delicious but even chicken is delicious and I was able to completely delete it from my diet. I was also able to take the other foods out too, but I wanted to see how much I can eat before I end up hurting because of them again and howucj I can eat without hurting in general which is obviously still going on. I like doing experiments that'll make me feel better in the end and ones that'll help others as well, but unfortunately nobody listens to me despite me being right all the damn time🤦🏾♀️. I guess you can say I'm MatPat XD

Catherine’s ability is not really an ability but a real rare genetic disorder. It’s called Maple syrup urine disease (or MSUD) which as implied makes urine smell sweet like maple syrup. I guess it’s technically an ability since she is an old woman and most with MSDU don’t really live to adulthood

In the X-Men universe it actually makes sense to have useless mutants, that can be helpful in ultra specific circumstances
100%. Being a mutant in the Marvel sense isn't a thing that automatically makes you a super hero/villain. Primarily it just makes you a weirdo and sets you apart from baseline humans. Only some people get to fly or throw fireballs or whatever.
Even the mutants with "cool" powers often have catches, tho (Cyclops can't open his eyes unless he's wearing special lenses, Rogue can't touch people normally), and having a perfectly controllable and useful power is sort of winning the genetic lottery. So yeah. Big fan of useless mutations in X-Men.

IMO the existence of seemingly useless mutations makes the whole existence of mutants feel more realistic. Would be weird if everyone got a genetic mutation that gave them an awesome superpower because a LOT of mutations in real life lead to disfiguration or disease. In high school I came up with a whole bunch of “useless power” type characters. My basic idea was my main girl (who had a sixth sense that mostly just made her get horribly overstimulated all the time) was gonna put together a support group at her school, and then friendship and hijinks would ensue. I never did anything with it though
I think most have similar ideas. Mine wasn't useless powers but powers that were so dangerous or manipulative people just couldn't trust the people with them.

The entire story of the origin of the Jack-o-lantern is this. He couldn't go to heaven or hell and people slowly stopped being able to see him, so he started carrying a trnip or pumpkin lantern so people would see the light from that and realize he was there.

Sure it would be weird to do surgery on someone who have blue skin, fur or the skin of a frog, but this guy must have optic nerves everywhere. One wrong move and he loose sight in three of his eyes on his arm. What if he needs glasses. What if there’s just one of his eyes that needs glasses.

@@RailfoxStudios it seams like his amount of eyes are pretty inconsistent. I guess it just depends on how much he’s going to be there and how many the artist want to keep track of. Even the amount of eyes on his face isn’t consistent. But yeah, sweat would always be a problem for him. He would also have to be really careful with sunscreen, if he went anywhere hot. There’s just such an unimaginable amount of inconvenience for him, unless his eyes have some extra layer of protection besides eyelids. I don’t know if it would be really awesome or horrifying if he instead of fully formed eyes, had these bumps with eyeballs under them. That could actually be an interesting concept. A sudo eye, under a protective layer of skin. He is said to be able to see different things with some of them anyway. Maybe a layer of skin wouldn’t be in the way of an eye that see inferred anyway

When you get your powers from mutation it's a literal gamble on what you get.
You can either get something really cool like reality warping or being Superman, or you are like Beak. Or worse like that kid whose power is to explode, once. Or that one kid in the Ultimate Universe with the power of having a city block sized aura that destroys living tissue.
i like how these mutants have aliases describing their powers like the actual powerful people. it comes across either as taunting them with the fact that their powers are useless, or just mean nicknames unrelated to the concept of a superhero alias.
Eyeboy, at least, does act as a superhero, as his eyes are way better than a regular human's.
Honestly, this is what I feel like mutants should be like, feels way more realistic of the x-gene

Actually always liked that mutants like this exist... it grounds the universe to say these mutations are random, sometimes useful, sometimes very situationally useful, and sometimes a downright disability.
Rogue for example is one of my favourites... a fantastic example of a power that is only really useful if you're a pyschopath or if you're in this universe... and even then the cost isn't usually worth the benefit.
The struggle of her character, especially as someone who is a Southern Belle whose culture is usually very social and not physically shy, creates such a great conflict in her character for her to overcome, and leads to some truly heartfelt moments.

Catherine Saccharine’s power kind of just reminds me of Maple Syrup Urine Desease. (Yes, that’s real, look it up. I even did a whole school project on it!)
Maple Syrup Urine Disease (or MSUD) is just like what it sounds like, your urine smells sweet and syrupy like maple syrup. If I recall correctly, it often also affects sweat and earwax. Only difference is that MSUD does NOT make you taste like syrup, so don’t try it

Honestly it just makes sense that some mutants would just have random mutations that aren’t superpowers, it’s how evolution works (in a comic book sense)
Eyeboy is not only extremely good with guns. But he can see ATOMS. So even outside of combat he's really useful

Eyeboy actually has some pretty useful eyes. Some shoot beams...not as powerful as Cyclops. Some can see and track magical auras. He has specific eyes that can see in different EM spectrum waves. He he can see anything that's invisible because he has an eye that specifically can see only invisible things.
Also DJ had music powers. I think he was related to a minor enemy that only appeared once. She had blue skin and similar powers. They basically produce different effects based on what music they listened to. He never used his powers on page but, he had a profile in New X-Men Yearbook Annual....I think that was the name.

I think mutants with useless powers (or, to be more accurate, no powers with just a visual difference) makes sense and works. It is a problem if they try putting them in actual missions or send them into the Danger Room, but as just students of Xavier Academy (or similar schools) or citizens of other mutant communities it works. It shows that they are just people that are different in ways that we aren't used to and highlights the evilness of the anti-mutant villains with them being just as willing to kill these guys as they are Magneto.
The fun part about long neck is that in the no more mutants storyline is his neck snaps under it's own weight due to him losing his abilities but it doesn't just shorten his neck but make it to where it isn't strong enough to support the length

I think that these mutant abilities in my opinion (except eyeboy) show that the mutant hatred in the Marvel universe is just so completely shitty. Like Jazz and Longneck, they are just a bit different, but they're still mutants look at all the bad mutants do to human society!
Everybody is different and we shouldn't treat others worse for their differences.

I have sensory issues about things on my face, especially liquid near or in my eyes. If I had 57 eyes all across my body I think I'd just prefer to die.
