@therealskatedad Thanks! That's a really beautiful way to put it. Ever since I was a kid, playing drums has been like meditation for me - on a good night it's like "bullet time" when I'm on stage where I can see the spaces in-between drum hits and time feels elastic. Billy Cobham said that he would achieve astral projection while performing with Mahavishnu Orchestra in the 70s and, at times, he would leave his body and float above the stage watching himself perform. That is the goal.
