Thanks man! I'm trying to find the time to do another vid at the moment but 1. work is super busy 2. I'm ill and 3. my attic is freezing at this time of year! Thanks again!
Dude thank you so much. I appreciate you don’t skip notes with such a ridiculously ambitious tempo. I will be trying to get up to speed for a while. But worth it for such a fantastic song!
Hey, that's a great job and the tab is fantastic too (I'm trying to learn it by playing along with you. One quick question. In measure 4 for example, you're playing the G# and the A on the D string rather than the G string. Wouldn't it be a touch easier to keep your hand in the same position and just play them on the string higher? It comes more into play on something like measure 10, that jump from E to F# is huge (for me). You're far better than I am, so I'm just looking for a reason as to why it might be a bit better to play it that way. Thanks.
Hey, thanks for the kind words! Dan Adriano really is the well kept secret of modern pop punk bass playing, he has so many catchy bass lines that sit nicely in the mix. You're quite right in that much of the song can make use of the G string to make the 'jumps' up and down the neck less dramatic. The reason I choose not to (and you will probably find I'm not the only one) is due to the timbre the G string produces. I find it to produce a more 'middly' than 'bassy' sound... kind of twangy I guess. I guess this is probably not such an issue with heavier gauge strings. But yeah, it's really just personal preference and the notes on the D string seem more fitting with the 'feel' to the song.
@@ctrlaltbass6990 Thanks. I'm probably going to sacrifice the sound for the quickness of the changes, but I really appreciate the answer. I love the part that starts with the 7th measure, it's challenging as all hell but sounds amazing.
Great playing. I highly recommend searching for the good mourning album Demo here on UA-cam. It is raw and amazing. Dans bass sounds incredible.
Cky him and alkaline trio are all one of my favorite bands of all time! You rock!
Dude, the playing, camerawork, editing, into and all that is impeccable
But that tone.....
