My grandfather had a tt mk1, he died in 2019 and since then it stood in a garage. this september I decided to get it going again, cost me around 3500€ to get everything fixed. 120k miles on it, runs beautifully now. it´s just a 180hp with front wheel drive but I love that thing... I´d say if it runs for another 2 years without major issues I consider it a good investment :D
Just picked up a 2001 TT 225. Absolutely brilliant car for the money. A hoot to drive and pretty economical (compared to my Alfa 3.2 V6). Well done on the videos and channel. Subscribed!
Just bought my first TT 1.8 Quattro absolutely love it! Got it for my run around! Was getting tagged on Corsa’s/Clio’s twice the price! Really puts a smile on your face!
I have a 2001 225 Quattro, paid £12,000 for it, so yes the prices are going up. (Low milage, like new, with all the factory extras). 100% standard as from the factory.
An absolute stunning TT Sport Josh. I've been following your videos for a while now regarding your car. You're a natural talent infront of the camera. I'm 56 and have a basic 180 TT. Had it six years and have to say it's the best car I've ever had in all my years of driving. Keep posting them superb videos and of note I think TTs look good when dirty. Lol. Take care.
Thank you for the kind words, and I hope that you can come to some of the TT events I am going to be arranging very soon, and i'll get to meet you in person!
I have the 1999 180bhp Quattro 5spd 50k from new fsh not bad for 25 year old. Would luv to be part of an owners club but they all want Facebook intervention I don’t do social media.
These cars are fantastic. Bought mine dirt cheap because it was broken and the paint was bad so been fixing it the past year. One thing to know is the timing belt/water pump maintainence on these engines. Its not an easy job but it is necessary every 5 years. The interior is tough to repair because of the plastic pieces. Everything just breaks, especially the door cards. That being said, ill never sell mine unless there is a severe accident but been driving it for a year now and its worth caring for. Great engine, great handling, great on gas and easy to park. Surprising amount of space in the interior as well.
Absolutely gorgeous cars, I've got a 2005 tt in jet black 🖤 in my garage at home. The comments from people are amazing about these cars. They look amazing especially in jet black 🖤
.....Seen TT V6 Mk1 and QS going up all the time on Autotrader 3.2 went for £24995! ,a little while back clean QS also staying steady - ensure service history chains etc as required on the related models and its 25th Anniversary year too - great vid - keep them coming 👍
Own a 225 and they definitely will be a future classic in another 10 years. They very much remind me of the 356 for many reasons, looks being one of them but also because the 356 was pretty much a car that had little value in the 80s but as the years passed and the bad ones were taken off the road the value sky-rocketed. I dont think the TT will be to the same extreme because over 3x as many were sold but there will definitely be a future market for them. Especially the more people appreciate the modfications and companies like Badger5.
These are the standard wheels that come with the Quattro Sport, and the tyre size is simply the recommends size, which I cannot remember off the top of my head!🤦🏼♂️
To be fair the Mk1 TT is fairly reliable with the right amount of maintaince. Mine only broke down once over 30k miles driven (105k miles on it total) because I didn't plug in the new fuel filter properly 😂
The only time I don't like the look of the mk1 TT is when youre walking back to you car in a carpark and you see it from almost front on but slightly seeing the side and it looks to much like a bubble, almost like the VW Beatle 😂
I have the 225 Roadster for almost 10 years now. I do love it, that’s why i still have it. But i also reckon this is one of the worst financial moves one can make, if you’re not good at diy with mechanics, like me, the car is an absolute money pit. By now, i’ve replaced almost every important part of it, and yet, still something manages to break down. I’ve had several cars in the past, none used the towtruck like this one. I definitely can’t recommend it to anyone, it would be unfair to do so. But if you really like the car, like i do, you’ll get it anyway.
Some cars do make it with simple maintenance, whereas some cars seem to like being broken all the time!😂 But it will definitely not put me off from buying another!
bro great video, but please consider ditching the skin thight jeans. Youre a cool big guy, i'm sure a straighter pair of pants are gonna be more comfortable and make you look much better.
Just bought my first TT 1.8 Quattro absolutely love it! Got it for my run around! Was getting tagged on Corsa’s/Clio’s twice the price! Really puts a smile on your face!
I just got my 2001 Audi TT roadster delivered to me today. I am SOOOO happy I LOVE IT!!

Such a great all round car! And it’s nice to know that she’s there to stay with you forever!👍
My 17 year old TT mk1 has the exact same trim peeling at the windows. So I really want to see your video of how to fix that.
Absolutely gorgeous cars, I've got a 2005 tt in jet black 🖤 in my garage at home. The comments from people are amazing about these cars. They look amazing especially in jet black 🖤
I LOVE black cars, however they look boring on camera so I won’t get one 😭

There’s a 20k mile QS going for auction this weekend, it will be exciting to see how much that’s gonna go for!
I bought the 180 fwd version and mine needs a bit of interior and exterior love, being doing the work myself xD
I love my Mk 1
Me too!

I like this Audi tt it'd a very good car especially if you like driving on countryvtoads
I want one a black hardtop so badly!

Yours is very nice mate! 👍

User error, so technically it has never broke down!😜
@@JoshsPOV It managed 100 miles on a fuel filter not properly plugged in before popping off for a motorway overtake 😂
I wish the car had a setting for the 4x4 system .
That is so true, however, you can get a system that can control it, but they are rare and of course, expensive!
The only time I don't like the look of the mk1 TT is when youre walking back to you car in a carpark and you see it from almost front on but slightly seeing the side and it looks to much like a bubble, almost like the VW Beatle 😂
That is a very specific occasion! 😂
Tgc ❤ let’s goooo

How tall are ya, u look massive next to the tt
I’m 6 foot 4 brother😂
bro great video, but please consider ditching the skin thight jeans. Youre a cool big guy, i'm sure a straighter pair of pants are gonna be more comfortable and make you look much better.
Because they're called the "KIA boyz"
Not "TT boyz"
theyb broke it and put it in a caddy van
No it's nie good time to buy 😂
I think a major point as been forgotten here.
They are ulez friendly
If you really want to sell this car you should start with that point
That’s a very good point!
Just bought my first TT 1.8 Quattro absolutely love it!
