I've been away from bikes for many years. I was a big Kawasaki two stroke triple guy for a long time, then Z1's. I have to say I am now looking at getting back into riding and the Vulcan seems like the best bike for me. Needless to say bikes have changed a lot over that time. Thank you for a great video and ride. It is good to see a concise well done video without all the BS and high speed driving. Kudos.

After the first 500 miles you will find some chain slack. Needs to have its 'break-in' service done. I agree with you 100% on the seat. Once I started riding longer distances I dumped the stock seat for a Corbin. Makes a world of difference in comfort. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching!
When I saw this bike in the shop, straight away I knew this was the bike, and that's even without sitting on it. Thank you for you information... definitely confirms it for me!
I think the seat is horribly uncomfortable. After 30 minutes I start fidgeting because my butt and tailbone start to get sore. Also I'm a little disappointed in the exhaust. It just sounds weak. Other than that I really like the bike. It's got plenty of power, the ABS works great, and you can really lean it into a corner. It's super forgiving for newer riders but it's plenty of bike for even experienced riders.

I now shift at 4500 to 5000 rpm and cruise around 5000 rpm. It just takes some getting used to (for those who used to ride a V-twin bike).
After checking severals options I picked the Kawasaki Vulcan 650 S. I am very happy! I didn't spend a fortune and have a motorcycle that meets all my needs.
I got my Vulcan S 650 in October 2017 got my full TBR exhaust put on 2 weeks later I LOVE the sound of it, I’m one happy camper...then found your vid, I couldn’t agree more. I enjoy the range and that’s how I ride that way I always know when I need to fill up. I’d like to get a sissy bar should my (future) girlfriend need back support when I accelerate. I want to get hard shell side saddle bags then I’ll be ready for a long road trip.
I got my Vulcan in October 2017 as well dude :) If you are looking for saddlebags, check out my videos on my channel for the Viking Saddlebags I have on my Vulcan. They are leather wrapped on a plastic shell so they maintain their rigidity and function as hardshell bags. I love having mine, they are so fricking useful!
I love my Vulcan, it's the first bike I've owned. I really hope they make a Vulcan S 1000 or 950 using Kawasaki's other engines. I like the V Max a lot but I love the feel of the Vulcan. Kawasaki could make a monster muscle bike to compete with everyone else
Saravana Kumar Just imagine how amazing that would be! I love cruisers but I still want the power a naked bike has. A Vulcan S 950 would be a dream come true
Unfortunately I seriously doubt they will come up with a more powerful Vulcan S. They just released the Kawasaki Z900RS which is Kawasaki's new Retro Naked Bike and it will sell like Hot Cakes. If it weren't over 10k I would seriously consider it. Personally, I think the Vulcan S has plenty of spunk and it was rated as one of the Top 15 Fastest Cruisers. Granted it was in 15th place but still it made the list and 0-60 in 4.2 seconds is as fast as a Camaro or Mustang V-8. So while a more powerful Vulcan S may be nice it is unlikely that it will ever come to pass especially with so many other choices out there. That said, I am perfectly happy with the performance of the S.
@@Romeo13124 There is no vibration issue at all. I've taken mine to 110mph and it vibrates just as much as it does at 60mph which is hardly anything. In fact, I installed mini apes on mine and completely deleted the stock bar end weights. Even with no bar end weights, it hardly vibrates.
Almost wanted to get a new bike this season. I just couldn't let this bike go. It has too many great things going for it. Most of it looks like a cruiser and rides like a sportbike. You didn't show the people how it pulls! This bike has balls. It gives you that fly off the seat feeling when you let it rip.
Jonathan Leite I know! I took it out for 2 hours yesterday and let it rip. Was hanging on tight! I'm hopefully getting a new bike this year, but I refuse to get rid of this bike to do so!
Ive test ridden the Vulcan S twice. It’s hardly a cruiser. It feels like far more than 54hp, has good braking and handling, and likes high RPM. The riding position is actually very good for feet-forward. It’s a reclined Ninja 650 sport bike or Versys. It’s the only “cruiser” I’ve actually considered buying.
Just watched this video out of curiosity about the bike (not that I will buy one) and had to say considering you only started this channel 3 months ago the quality is 10/10. Look forward to more.
Just found your channel, my first motorcycle is also the Vulcan s and like you I can't say enough good about it. I have a lot of Motocross when I was younger but I could not be happier with the Vulcan S... Going to start binge watching your channel really enjoy your content.
Thanks! Vulcan S was a few years ago for me. I kinda regret trading it. Been looking for another to add to the garage! Welcome to my channel. Thanks for binge watching 🤣
I have owned my Vulcan S 8 months and didn't know that I can toggle between what is displayed. The range is very handy. I also did not know the comparison to the Harley Davidson 883. Great review!
They are definitely both of those things! I have gotten very fast with my starts. Can get to 40mph in almost 2 seconds now at the top end of first gear. This bike takes it like a champ.
I owned a Kawasaki Vulcan EN500 which is a 1/2 of a 1000cc engined bike. It is a cruiser, water cooled, inline twin, belt drive (later they went to chain) bike. The EN500 was faster than my 883s I have owned and 0-60 mph faster than my 1200 Sportster too. I would guess, the Vulcan S 650 is just a bored out 500cc or some form of a "bigger" EN500. That size of bike is good for most riding, but if you go long distances on the major highways, then it is time for a Touring bike. Great "all arounder" bike.
A Babbit Yeah, while it can definitely handle highways, I'm not gonna do a cross country trek. You might be right on the engine as it's technical model name is the EN650. It's a great all around bike, but its not a touring bike (nor does it try to be)
Motoblade, good to know. I did not know it was an "EN" 650 like the old EN500. The EN500 had the "screw and nut" adjustment system for the valves. No shims to buy! Easy valve adjustments. Makes me want to get another EN500 or a newer EN650/Vulcan S....
Been looking at getting one of these and you've sold me on it for sure! the fact they fit it to you before you leave was the major selling point :D great vid, ride safe man!
I like my Vulcan S. Light and nimble and surprisingly quick. I don’t have ABS but still the brakes are better then most bikes in this price range. Only the tightest turns will make it scrap pegs. Easy to lane split.
Over here in Arkansas there is a road we call the pig tail, us highway 23, if I have a spirited ride I find myself scraping just a little. If i throw caution to the wind.
Liked and subbed. Good audio, good video, good scripting and oral presentation. I recently (for my 74th birthday) bought a 2018 Kawasaki Ninja 400 ABS KRT Edition sport bike (crotch rocket). If I find that I'd want to "step up", it would probably be to the Vulcan S. Interestingly though, you mentioned nothing of the seat - just about every other reviewer (and commenters) mentioned that it is horrible. Your thoughts? Thanks!
Check out some of my other videos on the Vulcan S on my channel. Particularly the one where I talk about what I would change with the Vulcan S. That is when I begin to loathe the seat! It is horrible - but there are plenty of 3rd party options available for a good, comfortable seat for long trips. Corbin seats is the first one I would look at. Thank you so much for subscribing and congratulations on the Ninja 400! How do you like it?
It's about time somebody made an affordable, bad to the bone, yet so smooooooth cruiser!! Months ago i walked in a Harley dealership and was "sticker shocked" at the prices of there bikes. I'm looking for my first bike not to leave a arm, a couple toes, fingers... I'm like man... The cheapest bike (i forget what model) was $15, 899 & that was a cruiser!! I am a Kawasaki man now!!😂
Nathan Smith Yup! Kawasaki makes great affordable cruisers. Check out my video of the Indian Scout 60 for an affordable alternative as well with that all-American appeal. Thanks for watching!
great starter bike but most people will out grow it in less than a year you may want to think about the Indian Scout witch also allows you to adjust handle bars, seat and peg reach for shorter people. and if you want good affordable saddle bags look on line at VIKING bags. I would also recommend two brother exhaust system for it
I traded that bike in 4 years ago for my next bike which was an Indian Chief. From what I remember, it was not the largest size, I think it was medium. And it was the quick release windshield directly from Kawasaki. Dealership had it on the bike already on the showroom floor when I got it.
Fantastic motorcycle - only _two_ gripes. 1) Footpegs are too low. I scrape them all the time. 2) The mirrors are *fuGLy.* Fortunately, easily remedied.
I am soon to be a proud new owner of the vulcan (like 2 days) :). I am clearly excited and I appreciate your review. Thx. Ps. Now only if the snow would disappear. Greetings from Canada
That's great! Congratulations! I understand the feeling, I moved from Tennessee, and now I live 5 minutes from the Canadian border. Still 5 feet of snow on the ground here in Vermont.
i currently have an 88 honda shadow vlx 600 and im looking to upgrade to the vulcan i have thrown my leg over it but my dealer didnt have a demo one so hopefully soon i will! your video just confirmed what i already thought!
Johnny Sneakers Glad I could help! The Vulcan S is an AWESOME bike. Try to get on one as soon as you can! Remember the ergo-fit system. If it doesn't feel quite right at first, you can have it adjusted!
There is no other bike in this price range in India that is as good as this. I will try to get as much money as possible in a year and will surely get this piece of art.. Well atleast that is my short term ambition.
what do you think about this bike as a first bike? I am considering this and honda rebel 500 cause they're so close at the price.. i like the looks of the rebel a bit much, but this seems to be better value for the money.. in here it also has 4y warranty
Codrin T for the money I think the Vulcan S is a much better bike. It's a great bike for beginners, it was my first bike! Definitely would choose Vulcan S over Rebel 500. I've tried the rebel, didn't like it. Very uncomfortable and felt weird to me. Best thing you can do is try them both out and see which one you like better, but for me, it's the Vulcan S.
I'm thinking about getting the Vulcan S. Right now I'm torn between the Vulcan S, the V-Strom 650, and the Vulcan 900, or the V-Strom 1000. I'm in North Georgia too, I want something powerful enough to take my wife for a ride up through the mountains, yet small enough to be easy to maneuver in tight turns.
When I bought my bike two years ago, I really wanted to like the Vulcan S. I just could not get it adjusted to fit me 6'3" and 280lbs, I ended up getting a Voyager much better fit for me.
That's all that matters. You got a bike that fit you. The better it fits, the more fun you will have. I have looked at getting a Voyager in the future. How do you like yours?
I'm getting back to riding after a 20 year break. No longer in to fast machines, so a good cruiser is what I am looking for. I've narrowed down my choice to two bikes: the Kawi Vulcan 650 s or the Honda VT 750 Shadow. I want a mid sized cruiser for a couple of years then move up to a 1300cc or more. So the Honda or Kawi? Votes please.
Great little bike but my old lady says your xmas lights was not bright enough . It's a bike that is far better than a 883 in the real world and yes I love Harley's I've owned many new and old . I have seriously considered the Vulcan and may still do in the future . It reminds me of my old 650 drag star Yamaha that did everything well without breaking the bank .
I didn't have a passenger seat, so I can't comment on that. However, I'd suggest getting an aftermarket seat or the extended reach kawasaki seat for much longer rides. You'll be much more comfortable.
I've had a 650s for a while now and i love it to bits. But what are you talking about. The pegs scrap constantly... And the exhaust scraps when you really get on it.
Very good review, I ride a 1995 Sportster & love it but I did sit on one of these & really liked how it felt. This is a cool bike & im seriously considering buying one. I'm a former sport bike rider & this seems like its comfy but handles well & can be ridden hard.
Nice video, enjoyed the ride. Yeah, I have a new 2020 KVS that I'm learning to love. I come from Honda, Harley and now after a big long break of 15 yrs to my KVS. For one thing, it has quite surprising power that I'm learning to use effectively. It feels a little twitchy on the throttle but I'm taking my time getting real used to it. These positive reviews are why I got the thing once my motorcycle fever struck again. I agree this is still the best bike for me after a lot of second doubting. It's a comfortable bike, brakes are fair maybe could be better but I've yet to really test them hard although I practice that stuff. All in all it's good for me a 66 year old returning enthusiast. But I ride it like a gentleman on a Sunday. Usually. It's got the solid looks, a little menacing even. I put a Puig windshield on at a great price that seems to knock down some wind. Not sure if it affects the ride since I'm working up to highway speeds. I really love it, actually. It's a respectable machine I've got a lot to learn and grow into.
Like the video, just subbed as well. Not sure If I'm having a mid life crisis at my age or not, but I have been thinking about getting a bike for a long time. Haven't ridden since I was in my 20's. Pretty sure I'm going to get this one. Thanks.
I had my "mid-life crisis" at 74 (bought a Kawasaki Ninja 400 ABS KRT Edition) - my math says that if 74 is mid-life, then I've got another 74 years of riding ahead of me. Let the good times roll!
picking out a new (or any) bike? has to be a cruiser. hate my legs tucked & folded under my while I'm howked round a petrol tank. so feature#1, comfort. I like to sit back & splay out. LOVE the ergonomic thing on this bike, one of the first things made me perk up & think "i'm getting this machine". & I will. once I pay off & ride out my current Kawasaki Eliminator 125. I'd like to keep this one for a bit of fun & maybe even just to sit & look pretty, rather than trade it in. Love what I've been hearing about the engine, power (for it's size). i'm NO speed freak, just want & love to ride to work, up the street (shopping), take her out for a spin & put some miles behind us etc etc etc. if the bike will take me where I want to go, not really fussed over how quickly I get there. just want to get on the open road & be happy knowing I can keep up or, if necessary, overtake. & NOT be maxing out while some 18-wheeler piledrives right up my ass lol
I looked at a 900 last year. It was a left over from the previous year. My last bike was a Harley 883. Sounds like an awesome bike. I've noticed the newer bikes are better in the corners. The adjustability is great. Yup, if it says Harley, get a big wallet out. That fuel gauge is a great feature too. LOL! Ya, so I've heard. Ooo, good thing you were going slow! :) Never had ABS. Great gas mileage. I was going to get another Ninja this summer. Now I'll have to take another look at that Vulcan. SOB! LOL! Might be for the best. Thanks for all the info bud. Great video. Cave Troll sent me over. Glad he did man.
blackcauldron bit of a mix. Mainly city. I've gotten it up to almost 70+ country riding. It also depends on how rough you ride her. I go gentle on her most days now and my mileage is always fantastic.
Thank you for the review. I have a question about the dealer customizing the bike for the original purchaser who is say 6-1 and then I purchase the bike later (I am 5-5) and the handlebars don't fit well for me nor the foot pegs? The handlebars on your bike look good for me but on another video I watched the handlebar was the straight version? That would not work well for me, I am short and stocky in build. Do I go back to the dealer and ask for a different handlebar, and different foot pegs? I see this as a potential issue for what appears to be a sweet bike. Thanks.
Chris S If you are not the original buyer, then there will most likely be a fee involved, but the dealer can customize the ergo-fit system at anytime to fit you exactly how you need it.
Alex Glover No fittings? That sucks. I have never scraped these pegs in the corners, highest of any cruiser I've seen. You must have been really leaning :)
Interesting to see the perspective from Americans who are used to cruisers .. to see liquid cooling and ABS as "amazing features" is 20 years out of date ! . The Vulcan including its engine is a styling exercise on an unremarkable 12 year old budget middleweight commuter bike . The US bike industry is stuck in a time warp.
Jeffery Worrall The clutch on this bike is amazing. It's an assisted and slipper clutch, so it helps you out when shifting up and down with hardly any chance of locking up the rear wheel if you don't shift it properly. I prefer it to almost anything else I've ever tried. The park is just a local park near me, but they keep it up very nice and there's always good ranger presence. Glad you enjoy my videos! Thanks for watching :)
I have been looking at getting a cruiser and I never imagined getting a Vulcan. I love the styling and esthetics and it seems to be Underestimated! Hmmm?!
Peng Kang The major difference is the Vulcan S is a 650cc and the Yamaha bolt is a 949cc engine. Outside of that I'd say they are both very good bikes. Best thing you can do is test ride them both to see which one you like best! Hope that helps :)
You can get some really Great Close out deals or even used ones. I got a great deal on a new leftover 2016 for a little over 5 Grand. I have seen some used 2017's (Non ABS) go for around 4500. I wouldn't get rid of the Z1000, I am sure it's a speed demon but I bet not very comfortable to ride after a while. Sport bikes have their place and a lot of people love them perhaps for all the wrong reasons. Personally, I can't ride a Sportbike for longer periods of time. I am 6'2" and 255 lbs and the riding position just kills me. The Vulcan S with the Ergo Fit system fits pretty much anyone from the very short to the very tall. My brother is 6'4" and still can ride it comfortably. (I have mine in the Extended Reach position with the Extended Reach Seat and pegs and it fits me perfectly. ) If you get a used one try and negotiate the proper Seat for your height. The S comes standard with the Mid Reach Seat but when New you can get it tailored to your height and weight. The extended reach seat is also the only seat that comes with a Gel insert which the others lack. The dealership actually let me keep the Mid Reach Seat and ordered me the Extended Reach Seat for Free. The bike is light and easy to ride. It's almost like riding a very fast bicycle instead of a motorbike. Take it for a test ride I think you will like it.
Thomas R. Smith being short helps me not becoming too cramped on the Z thankfully. The price of the Vulcan S is right, so I'll most likely make it happen at some point after I've completed everything I want to do on the Z
I bought a 2016 Vulcan s for my wife to learn on. And when I would go from my bagger (1100 vstar) to the Vulcan s it was an absolute blast. The 3 things I didn't like in the bike 1) the styling of the mirrors 2) the stock seat 3) the rear turn signals would fall off alot. (tho they stayed in at 105mph)
Huh, never had an issue about the turn signals. That's weird. But I agree with the seat and mirrors though! That stock seat sucks for long rides. The bike itself is an absolute blast though. Thanks for watching!
@@MOTOBLADE with the blinkers there was a small metal bracket if some sort on the under side if the fender. So I'm assuming from the factory or dealership something wasn't installed 100%. I just never took the time to figure it out.
Vulcan S is more comfortable in my opinion. Also has more power, so it will keep you interested longer. My best advice is to go test ride each one for yourself. That's the best way to know which one YOU like best. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching :)
I've been riding a Vulcan vn 900 classic for the past 11 years and can't really fault her ( yes she is fuel injection water cooled etc) but unfortunately it is now unavailable in the UK as the EU has put a stop to the VN range of V twins. I know it's not as fast as the new s650 but to be fair I'll give one a try , if you can still get the VN 900 Classic in the US give one a try, it might look like a Harley but it's a completely different bike to ride and doesn't pretent to be the same as any sub 1000 cc Harley.
Frag Dad I don't think you would be disappointed at all. Is the ER6N a 650 engine? To my knowledge that is just an older ninja. The Vulcan S has the power and handling of a ninja in a cruiser. I love it, but ultimately you should do a test ride and try it for yourself!
What are your favorite features on the Vulcan S or your own motorcycle?
when my gf drive VS first time :) with no licens :) ua-cam.com/video/7lWPZbxLdFg/v-deo.html
Favorite features: Light, Nimble, great in the corners. Very easy to ride. Inspires confidence. Great beginners bike!
Gear Indicator...
You must have a 2017 model since the gear indicator was optional on the 2015-2016 models. ;-) Nothing a couple of hundred bucks wouldn't fix.
Thomas R. Smith ;)

Thomas R. Smith I love the performance of my Vulcan just looking for my next bike already haha. Would love to have another Vulcan to step up too
Hahaha. I like showing off my speed to bikers who think I have a slow bike. And then watch their faces 😂😂
Yes! They all underestimate the Vulcan S!
How fast can you go without any vibrating?
Just did a demo the vulcan S with abs, love it! This will be my next bike!!! After taking a ten year break. Can't wait to get one.
Congrats! Ride safe and have fun!
Ive test ridden the Vulcan S twice. It’s hardly a cruiser. It feels like far more than 54hp, has good braking and handling, and likes high RPM. The riding position is actually very good for feet-forward. It’s a reclined Ninja 650 sport bike or Versys. It’s the only “cruiser” I’ve actually considered buying.
turbo311 Agreed. Very sporty, comfortable cruiser.
I just picked up the 2024 eliminator ,I was so close to buying the Vulcan it was the mid controls that was the only reason I
@@danieldavis3271 I was a fan of the forward controls on mine. Never liked mids. Congrats on the new ride! The eliminator is an awesome bike ✌🏻
@@MOTOBLADE thank you 🙏 so far I’m really happy with it
Just watched this video out of curiosity about the bike (not that I will buy one) and had to say considering you only started this channel 3 months ago the quality is 10/10. Look forward to more.
SBPT Thank you so much! I will be back to making videos soon! Just took a break for the holidays :)
It's just been launched here in India, and I'm super excited!
Gi Chan Awesome! Be sure to go ride one!
I'm not an experienced rider. Currently I'm on a 153 cc FZ16. And hoping to pick up the Vulcan or the Niinja/Z 650 when I'm confident enough. :)
I have Vulcan S as well, my first bike and I think it was a fantastic choice, one I will be happy with for a while I think. (3k miles so far)
I couldn't be happier with my choice for a first bike. So well built, it will last me a long time.
I agree, love mine
Im an Australian but i love the videos from America
You Aussies are alright too :) It's the Brits we don't like 😂
After doing months of research! I think I'm to make the Vulcan my first motorcycle!
Congratulations! Ride safe and thanks for watching!
I have scrapped pegs, not at high speeds but more actually at low speeds for 90° turns
I have owned my Vulcan S 8 months and didn't know that I can toggle between what is displayed. The range is very handy. I also did not know the comparison to the Harley Davidson 883. Great review!
Glad I could help. Thanks for watching!
I owned one of these bikes, bullet proof, fun as hell, fast as hell too
They are definitely both of those things! I have gotten very fast with my starts. Can get to 40mph in almost 2 seconds now at the top end of first gear. This bike takes it like a champ.
impressed with this bike, wasn't aware of this model.
alabama dual sport It is an amazing bike. Fast, sleek, cruiser.
Took a test drive few days ago of the Vulcan in India and fell in love with this machine... Maybe one day I'll get one for myself.
PIYUSH PATTANAIK That would be cool. It is an awesome bike!
was just browsing to bikes to get into riding and man the price, the look, and the speed. thank you for this review :)
I'm Not Relevant You are very welcome. Glad I could help!
I am getting my 2022 Vulcan S SE next week. excited to ride. this video is really a nice one liked this video
Congrats on the new ride! Have fun ✌🏻
Been looking at getting one of these and you've sold me on it for sure! the fact they fit it to you before you leave was the major selling point :D
great vid, ride safe man!
Hugh Dalrymple Thanks for watching! So glad I could help!
something I like about this bike is that i will have my very own in a few days
Congratulations! That's super awesome. Ride safe bro ✌🏻
The specs show 61 hp. Maybe measured from the crank vs wheel?
I like my Vulcan S. Light and nimble and surprisingly quick. I don’t have ABS but still the brakes are better then most bikes in this price range. Only the tightest turns will make it scrap pegs. Easy to lane split.
I have yet to scrape pegs in this baby. So light and nimble in those corners.
Over here in Arkansas there is a road we call the pig tail, us highway 23, if I have a spirited ride I find myself scraping just a little. If i throw caution to the wind.
Your video is so relaxing and informative! I don't have a bike yet, but I'm very interested in getting a Vulcan s. Thank you 😎
I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching! Whatever bike you end up on, I guarantee you'll have fun.
Super into this bike right now. It seems to me like it checks all my boxes. Can't wait to get one in the future.
I would also recommend two brother exhaust system for it
I like the get up and go that it has in the lower end. The one thing I will change has got to be the foot pegs.
IronsIntheFire I like the footpegs on mine, but the nice thing is they are changeable :) it definitely has awesome acceleration in the low end.
The footpegs are ok around town. But I took it for a 3 hour drive and my feet were hurting by the end. But yes the customizing options are nice!
I'm deciding between this and the Honda CTX 700 DCT.
What’s review for windshield and what size you have medium or large and what company thx
I traded that bike in 4 years ago for my next bike which was an Indian Chief. From what I remember, it was not the largest size, I think it was medium. And it was the quick release windshield directly from Kawasaki. Dealership had it on the bike already on the showroom floor when I got it.
Subbed from the UK. Just found this video as I've been looking at the vulcan S as my first long term bigger bike. Great review, keep it up.
Same
Yup.
It's a nice review, I'm biker from Indonesia, hopefully I have Vulcan s soon.
It's 61bhp and the ergo fit comes with 3 seats options and 3 handlebar options
Fantastic motorcycle - only _two_ gripes.
1) Footpegs are too low. I scrape them all the time.
2) The mirrors are *fuGLy.* Fortunately, easily remedied.
Agreed on both points. Thanks for watching!
Hows the bike? It's been a few months since you got it
i currently have an 88 honda shadow vlx 600 and im looking to upgrade to the vulcan i have thrown my leg over it but my dealer didnt have a demo one so hopefully soon i will! your video just confirmed what i already thought!
Johnny Sneakers Glad I could help! The Vulcan S is an AWESOME bike. Try to get on one as soon as you can! Remember the ergo-fit system. If it doesn't feel quite right at first, you can have it adjusted!
I like the metallic green color!
So do I!
There is no other bike in this price range in India that is as good as this. I will try to get as much money as possible in a year and will surely get this piece of art.. Well atleast that is my short term ambition.
Great choice! Good luck, you won't regret buying this beauty!
what do you think about this bike as a first bike? I am considering this and honda rebel 500 cause they're so close at the price.. i like the looks of the rebel a bit much, but this seems to be better value for the money.. in here it also has 4y warranty
Codrin T for the money I think the Vulcan S is a much better bike. It's a great bike for beginners, it was my first bike! Definitely would choose Vulcan S over Rebel 500. I've tried the rebel, didn't like it. Very uncomfortable and felt weird to me. Best thing you can do is try them both out and see which one you like better, but for me, it's the Vulcan S.
Alright! A fellow Vulcan S rider in the Southeast. I'm in North Georgia; maybe we'll cross paths one of these days.
Jack Pickett Perhaps we will! I'm in the Chattanooga region, so I visit Georgia fairly often :)
MOTOBLADE I love my Voyager, put over 34,000 miles on her in the two years I've owned her.
MrTrek164 It is an awesome bike! I didn't have the lights on in the video, but they are super bright at night. Lots of fun at Christmas time.
Is the seat comfortable for driver and passenger for long travels? That's important to me.
I didn't have a passenger seat, so I can't comment on that. However, I'd suggest getting an aftermarket seat or the extended reach kawasaki seat for much longer rides. You'll be much more comfortable.
Did you say what year your bike was.I missed it.The 2022 models have 61 Hp.
Mine was a 2015 Vulcan S.
I've had a 650s for a while now and i love it to bits.
But what are you talking about. The pegs scrap constantly... And the exhaust scraps when you really get on it.
Can I ask you something? How often you touch the ground with this bike on sharp corners?
Only once did I scrape pegs in a really sharp turn. The bike has a fantastic lean angle. Cornered like a sport bike in my opinion.
according to the Kawasaki website the 2018 and newer vulcan s is rated at 60hp now
Cool! It was a great bike. But I'm in love with my new Indian Dark Horse. Still, I do miss the Vulcan S occasionally.
How are the pipes ? Are they loud enough ?
Pretty dang quiet. I would want a set of louder pipes from either DanMoto or Two Brothers Racing.
@@MOTOBLADE yeah TBR would do great. Do Make a video when you install those pipes on your bike.
Sounds like a good bike and a close competition for the Indian scout or spring field.
More of a competitor to the scout 60 perhaps- But the engine is less that half the size of a Springfield. Thanks for watching!
Very good review, I ride a 1995 Sportster & love it but I did sit on one of these & really liked how it felt. This is a cool bike & im seriously considering buying one. I'm a former sport bike rider & this seems like its comfy but handles well & can be ridden hard.
It can be ridden very hard! I love it, because I can accelerate and feel like I have a sport bike, but with all the creature comforts of a cruiser!
What is the total legnth of this bike. Also can you do a u turn on a normal width road
Like the video, just subbed as well. Not sure If I'm having a mid life crisis at my age or not, but I have been thinking about getting a bike for a long time. Haven't ridden since I was in my 20's. Pretty sure I'm going to get this one. Thanks.
70Slinger You are very welcome! Thank you for subscribing!
This is a great bike. Comfortable and a blast to ride. Try it out!
The 58-60mi / gal is country driving or city driving?
Awesome vid! I’m seriously considering buying
blackcauldron bit of a mix. Mainly city. I've gotten it up to almost 70+ country riding. It also depends on how rough you ride her. I go gentle on her most days now and my mileage is always fantastic.
How would you compare it to the Honda Rebel 500?
It's better it's more comfortable and more power Everyone says the rebel feels like a budget motorcycle
I heard putting on a corbin seat makes a big difference. From, Adelaide, South Australia.
Great review! Windscreen looks good and I am sure it does its job. Review much better than most!
Joseph Roshinko Thank you! Yes, the windscreen is very effective. Looks better than almost any other motorcycle windscreen out there.
My 2021 has gear indicator in the digital dash !
Yeah, I had a 2015, I think they started adding them in 2016. Missed it by one year 🤣
Thank you for the review.
Getting a sub just for the Imperial landyard. 😊
Awesome! Thanks man. Happy Thanksgiving!
Congrats on your vulcan! I got mine this past October. Ride safe :D
Sinbad683 I got mine the beginning of this October too! How do you like your Vulcan?
I love my Vulcan! in fact I'm missing it right now since i'm out of town at the moment haha.
Sinbad683 I know the feeling. Missed riding mine over Thanksgiving. It becomes an addiction :)
Oh yea I'm addicted haha.
They don't do the fittings in Australia. Also Ive had my pegs touching the ground a few times in the corners .
Alex Glover No fittings? That sucks. I have never scraped these pegs in the corners, highest of any cruiser I've seen. You must have been really leaning :)
Interesting to see the perspective from Americans who are used to cruisers .. to see liquid cooling and ABS as
"amazing features" is 20 years out of date ! .
The Vulcan including its engine is a styling exercise on an unremarkable 12 year old budget middleweight commuter bike .
The US bike industry is stuck in a time warp.
Nice keychain! Now I want to test ride this bike
VVoltz Thanks! Definitely take a test ride, it's an awesome bike
What park is that? Also I have heard good things about the clutch on this bike, what is your opinion? Thanks for the videos!
Is that the large window in the video?
I have been looking at getting a cruiser and I never imagined getting a Vulcan. I love the styling and esthetics and it seems to be Underestimated! Hmmm?!
I'm having a hard time choosing between the Vulcan S and Yamaha Bolt. Which one do you think is better overall?
Peng Kang The major difference is the Vulcan S is a 650cc and the Yamaha bolt is a 949cc engine. Outside of that I'd say they are both very good bikes. Best thing you can do is test ride them both to see which one you like best! Hope that helps :)
MOTOBLADE Thanks, man!
Peng Kang You're welcome! Ride safe!
If I’m able, I’d like to get a Vulcan s as a 2nd bike. I don’t plan on getting rid of my z1000, but the easy riding of the Vulcan is appealing
David Elliott The Vulcan S rides like a dream bro. Drops into corners and turns like butter. Go for it :)
The 3 things I didn't like in the bike
1) the styling of the mirrors
2) the stock seat
3) the rear turn signals would fall off alot.
Looking to get my first bike, how do you compare the Vulcan S to the Honda Rebel 500
Vulcan S is more comfortable in my opinion. Also has more power, so it will keep you interested longer. My best advice is to go test ride each one for yourself. That's the best way to know which one YOU like best. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching :)
MOTOBLADE Ok Thanks
@@2119rocky you're very welcome
That wind shield is stock or after market
Windshield is Kawasaki brand, but it does not come stock.
Where is your gearshift indicator? Nice video by the way. :)
Thank you! The 2015 model I owned did not have the gear indicator, that was added in the 2016 model year to the information display.
Nice bike, but I have gotten use to the maxi scooters. It's nice not to have to gear up and down
I've been riding a Vulcan vn 900 classic for the past 11 years and can't really fault her ( yes she is fuel injection water cooled etc) but unfortunately it is now unavailable in the UK as the EU has put a stop to the VN range of V twins. I know it's not as fast as the new s650 but to be fair I'll give one a try , if you can still get the VN 900 Classic in the US give one a try, it might look like a Harley but it's a completely different bike to ride and doesn't pretent to be the same as any sub 1000 cc Harley.
How loud is the stock exhaust ? do others in cars hear you at all ? That fitting system is only for those buying new bikes I guess? not used .....
Not for used. Although you can get a fitting for a used bike. I'm sure your dealer would do it for a small fee. Stock exhaust is not loud at all.
I have the exact bike, I love it! It is really smooth and fast!
Awesome! Glad you like it as well! Thanks for watching!
I have a ER6N. Would i be disappointed if I traded for a Vulcan?
Frag Dad I don't think you would be disappointed at all. Is the ER6N a 650 engine? To my knowledge that is just an older ninja. The Vulcan S has the power and handling of a ninja in a cruiser. I love it, but ultimately you should do a test ride and try it for yourself!
