Dear Benjamin, it was a true honor having you as our first experience guest!! Your interest in the food, culture and history made it easy for us to tell you exactly what we wanted to share about our beautiful Veracruz. We appreciate you recommending us to all your viewers, please keep on traveling and making awesome videos like this, it's heartwarming to hear you speak about my hometown like you do. Cheers!! 📸🙏🏼🤙🏼
Gracias Adan, you and Ruth put together an amazing tour. I'm so glad to have been your first guest. Looking forward to hearing about how it grows from here on out.
Mexico ( hands down!) has the BEST food! Never been to Veracruz before, but your video has convinced to check it out! We're gonna be in Mx in May and will have to add this to our trip! The CEVICHE you tried has our mouths watering! Great immersive video we loved it!
It's definitely up there for sure. I'm sort of stuck between Spain and Mexico when it comes to my favorite cuisine. They both may be Spanish speaking cultures but, the food is so different. That ceviche was the best I've ever had.
Vera Cruz is indeed a gorgeous place worth visiting and exploring! Your presentation of this place is superb with history and cultural lessons! Two thumbs up!
Loved Veracruz! Great food and culture! Fun tour and music! The MALECON was beautiful and the aquarium was a great stop too. Thanks for sharing the Christmas lights as well! Where too next?
The next video will be Puebla! I had a Villahermosa video planned but, came down with the dreaded Montezuma Revenge. So my few days in Tabasco ended up a wash.
That looks like a great city to visit. Crazy that the ocean came up so much further in earlier days. We also have something like that kingscake... I liked the musician! Great how you talk to the locals and of course show us the local food! 😋
@@AdventuresOfATravelingDon it's a cake you eat on the 6th of January. The day of the 3 kings. They say that's the day when the kings came with presents to visit Jezus 12 days after Christmas. It's a cake for usually 4 persons and there is a sort of bean in it. If you're the one with the bean, you're king for the day and can put on the crown. (a paper one) we don't do presents on that day... I guess a European and especially a catholic tradition. By the way, your beer looked pretty good as well! 😉
Great video. My fiance loves veracruz. She's from Xalapa. She explained to my why so many buildings look incomplete. Great food and nice people. A few times we have been there it was crazy windy.
@AdventuresOfATravelingDon yes it can be very ungodly hot. Xalapa has more of a rainy climate in the summer and fog. Veracruz has the beach but a few blocks away from the gulf it's quite hot. Lol
I would love to do a food tour there. I think I'd like the first two stops but I'm not a fan of ceviche. The aquarium and boardwalk seem like fun stops too. Very informative as always and great tour of the city.
@@AdventuresOfATravelingDon It's both for me. The texture thing is just too much to start, and then when I think about what it is... 🙅♀ I also can't eat sushi for that reason lol
I just finished watching your video on Veracruz and it was amazing, I loved how you captured the local food scene and culture of the city. The seafood and traditional dishes looked so delicious and I can't wait to visit Veracruz and try them for myself. Thanks for the great tour and recommendations!
Do a video on Montezuma's revenge when in Mexico. What did you eat? Did you see a doctor? People talk about how wonderful Mexico is but none talks about getting sick.
A good idea. Although the story wouldn't be too long. It was basically buying ice from Oxxo that triggered it. Basically laid in my room for 3 days and took Imodium. Thankfully my case wasn't the nightmarish version I've heard others have.
@@AdventuresOfATravelingDon I doubt it was ice. It was probably lettuce or fruit. I just got diarrhea in Chiapas from a crappy pizza I ordered in a fancy restaurant.
@@jasontaylor404 there is only one kind of ice. I doubt it was the ice that gavehim the runs. I usually get diarrhea in Mexico from either fruit/vegetable or bad cheese.
The cathedral of Veracruz does not have gold nor is it decorated in a sumptuous way because the pirates who arrived at the port always went to loot it. So in order not to give the gold to the pirates, the town and the church decided to leave it as austere as possible. The person talking about the Rosca de Reyes didn't say it right. The doll represents the baby Jesus. Tradition says that if it is a person's turn, that person must give them tamales to the people he is with

@@AdventuresOfATravelingDon, Of course, we can't forget Spain! Great point!! Paella and all that seafood too!
To help support the channel you can buy me a coffee at: buymeacoffee.com/traveldon I appreciate all the support y'all!
I’d love to sip coffee and people watch on the plaza! Love the LaBamba serenade and the story along with it ❤
Indeed, it was fascinating learning that there was a rich old history to a popular song of this modern era.
This is insanely beautiful city, your presentation is simply flawless. Gorgeous and such a unique atmosphere, 🔥🔥😊
It was one of my favorite experiences in Mexico.
@@AdventuresOfATravelingDon Definitely special place 👌👌
I recently went and enjoyed seafood on a food truck and here I am watching our Don taking us for a food tour. Yummy... food and the city tour.
Trading food tour for food tour 😂
Am visiting Veracruz soon, can’t wait to go - great video!
Have fun and say hi to Ruth and Adan if you see them
This is an amazing video. The complete tour package of the Veracruz. Everything seems to be great, the soccer ground, guitarist and the city itself
It is an amazing city for sure.
Vera Cruz is indeed a gorgeous place worth visiting and exploring! Your presentation of this place is superb with history and cultural lessons! Two thumbs up!
Thanks I appreciate the call comment.
@@AdventuresOfATravelingDon You're welcome. Warmest regards!
Another great video, the food looks delicious, I also loved the man with his guitar, he sings very good !
Adan has gotten an awesome voice. Definitely made the video.
Love the coral stone walls at the taco place. Really ads to the ambiance. The puff pastries look Devine!!!! 💕🤩 😋 cool to hear the story behind them.
It's such a unique architectural structure. It makes sense though that the best material to protect against the sea would come from the sea itself.
This is place is awesome, so amazing, I love it, so much to do there, your a great tour guide 😀 incredible vids as always.
Thanks Brandy, I love sharing what I love.
Beautiful and amazing view of the place to walk around thanks for sharing and touring us

This is fantastic ❤, now I want to go
It is so worth it!!! Bro Veracruz is one of my favorite cities I've ever stayed in.

What's the name of the King Cake in Belgium and is the tradition different?

Is it the flavor of ceviche or the fact that it's technically raw fish?
