pro tip (makes it very slightly more efficient): when setting up the items in the hopper, put 3 random blocks in, then make the fourth random block the stack of 41. this will still filter the first item in the hopper, but it will stop at one item left rather than 41, so youll end up with more items in your chests rather than hoppers
I’m not sure why but if u make the 2nd block(dirt) the 41 block and have 1 diamonds in the first slot it still works. For some reason I can do 16 stackable items aswell but only if u have 36-38 blocks in the in the 2nd slot

@@EG7fn with the out put chest, extend it 2 hoppers more and put a dispenser, then use 3 blocks, Redstone repeater, Redstone dust, and a Redstone torch. Place the 3 blocks into a V shape, put the Redstone dust next to the dispenser under the block. Put the repeater in the middle finally a torch against the block underneath
Is their any solution to make the items you want to be sorted less then 41? I want to auto sort ominous bottles from my pillager outpost farm, but i don't have 41 bottles of each type and it would take me forever to get that many, is their any solution to this?
The comparators/redstone and filler items cause the hopper to “lock” to that specific item you want in the chests below, the item you’re sorting remains at 41 and any additional that goes into that hopper will automatically just feed into the chests

What isn’t working? This design is impulsesv’s from 10 years ago and has never once broken if you built it right. Make sure every filter has 41 in the first slot followed by 4 filler items. Every slice has to have 3 redstone dust behind it to prevent signal overflow from breaking it.
I think you dont need that. The demonstration is 2 block because that's all you need the filtering to affect, then lower than that you can just have hoppers lead into more storage normally, followign the same pattern, because the 2 hoppers on the top have already acted as the filters. You get what I mean?
Tree farms don’t work anymore since duping tnt got patched out. Just take dark oak saplings. Place four in a box like shape, bone meal them, and chop the tree down. Best way to get a lot of wood very quickly. This is even Sb737’s way of getting wood and he’s on day 9000+ hardcore world.

This works well just dont put the same block you put into the hoppers as a fill. It will jam.

Using this system, you can sort items that are stackable, so not totems or bows, but emeralds and other things. Yes you can easily expand this sytem

Just put more filter items. Then you can use less diamonds
