I really wish this game got a scenario editor. To think about all the amazing custom scenarios people could create for this game - with entirely new Books of Law and stories...
Not sure how tough they will be as every game was possible to be played by simply managing everything well, besides the fact that some "moral" choices were actually more beneficial than the other ones(workshop helpers)
@@misiekfid4911 Nah prisons, interogations and mass arrests will do. It work for me. People barely felt cold, not until the lowest temperatures came at the final stage. Cruel? Perhaps. But being warm and not hungry in a apocalyptic frozen wasteland is a good trade me thinks.

I loved this way this showed what it was like for outposts. In the base came it's a matter of dragging and clicking and you get a few supplies every few days. This DLC showed the actual work that went into such outposts (although with a lot more people in them!). Kind of like how The Last Autumn gives you an appreciation for the work that went into the generators.
The only thing that makes me sad about this post is where you call it the 'final chapter'. I feel like there's so many more stories to tell! Don't let it end :'(

I can not WAIT to play this. My first time playing this game.. the music intensifying as the final storm was about to hit, getting more and more desperate as people were freezing to death, and finally overcoming the storm was one of my favourite memories playing any game.

Nice. More expansion of the setting is a good thing. Now we just need a DLC where you make make/command a Dreadnought, and you have to make tough choices for the sake of getting to a Generator, or to the City, and we'll be golden!

I remember way back when we first translated the DLC to be code name RECONQUEST, how ideas ran wild of war between the cities, or going back to London and reclaiming it from the dreaded winter, the idea of automatons with guns bolted on them were fun. Then On The Edge came and changed things, but now. With it being a military warehouse and the specific mention in the steam announcement about "domination" being a factor. I wonder if those ideas will be revived now. Hyped to see what you guys have in store for us, been playing since before The Last Autumn and this is by far one of my favorite games in my library. Can't wait to play and stream it on the 20th, stay safe guys. And let the camp survive!

I know the rumor of a RPG in the universe. But something that I would really like to see would maybe be short films fleshing out the story before the frost, in the same style as the openings to each scenario. But they do seem to have a large passion for Frostpunk. I can't remember if for This War of Mine they did lots of extra stuff as well
@@LordCT3001 We've actually supported This War of Mine for about 5 years, adding new free and paid content. :) We've even released TWOM: The Final Cut version - a remastered edition of the game - for free for the original game owners! :) And yes, Frostpunk for mobile + Frostpunk: TBG are our two Frostpunk-related confirmed projects atm. But we definitely plan to revisit the world of Frostpunk in the future.
After 2 years I have just recently started playing all the new scenarios that weren't available at launch and I have to say, I fell in love with Frostpunk all over again. Can't wait to play this one. :)
I honestly though 'On the Edge' means something along the lines of uncharted territories or something, but building an outpost on the edge of a cliffside is just as good~
I played a lot of city/colony builders, and none of them had the emotional impact that Frostpunk has. It can teach a masterclass in tension building. And the soundtrack... it just hits you in the gut.
Looks like it's been made in flash animation, reminds me of a webcomic done awhile back by two brothers. It's vector based which meant you could zoom in and see little details they did. If I didn't know better I'd say they did it.
@@prodbyflo Some parts of the video seem to be in 3d (mostly the city and the mountain), and thus there are very probably low poly, but the overall style is indeed 2d vector animation in layers (probably with Adobe Animate or some compositing in After Effects, all from actual drawings), looking like flash animations from the old days. Basically it's just drawings displacements and some particle I effects. But the style of these drawings perfectly fits and it looks gorgeous.

One of the best RTS games to date with a compelling story. No idea how many times I have played a mission over and over again :D Artwork is beautiful and the cinematic trailers could be made into an animated series
This is awesome! Just as I finished the other scenarios, too. Hopefully you guys decide to do a second game. Maybe it's set in the south with the wild storms and the weather is super unstable and swings wildly between ultra high and ultra low temperatures, and you gotta manage both heating AND cooling (or if not set in the south, maybe we try to fix the cooling and it goes horribly wrong). Whatever your next project is, I can't wait!
You guys have had nothing but praise on here and its SO WELL DESERVED! The game is so perfected, so much has gone into it... and so much comes out. You can spend hours in its own little world! I hope that the Frostland will be explored even further in the future, (but even if not, its been one hell of a ride!)
Can't wait. Bought the season pass during the Steam Summer Sale and after a bunch of attempts finally survived The Last Autumn. I imagine it will take a few playthroughs to get this one right too!
I beat it first try but it was so close. I had to get 3000 coal for New London, but only had like 900 stockpiled. Forced everyone to work as many 24 hour shifts as I could, and managed to get them the coal in the last ingame hour possible.

Hope you'll come up with the sequel, which expands and continues the story. Despite it's a harsh and desperate world, but it's really bitter feeling to leave it.

Scientifically speaking the snow in frostpunk late game is actually Carbon Dioxide, the stuff falling from the sky that is. In a global winter earths primary source of movement is not water with a 0% condensing point, it's solid carbon dioxide which freezes at -70, which we've seen is an easy thing to hit.
I love the music! When Time is running short or storm is about to hit you! When the violin kicks in! It’s so motivating and sad,ahhh! It specially if you know you are doomed but you still try! Best strategy game I’ve ever played! Thank you developers!

Well, guys, thank you for these amazing journey which started somewhat 3 years ago. This is one of the best games which happened to me. Actually, I'm very sad that this journey ends. Hope you'll come up with the sequel, which expands and continues the story. Despite it's a harsh and desperate world, but it's really bitter feeling to leave it.

Scientifically speaking the snow in frostpunk late game is actually Carbon Dioxide, the stuff falling from the sky that is. In a global winter earths primary source of movement is not water with a 0% condensing point, it's solid carbon dioxide which freezes at -70, which we've seen is an easy thing to hit.
I didn't know about this game, so underrated, I'm Playing now FrostPunk 1.. and I really love it..

I love the music! When Time is running short or storm is about to hit you! When the violin kicks in! It’s so motivating and sad,ahhh! It specially if you know you are doomed but you still try! Best strategy game I’ve ever played! Thank you developers!
I have always loved the Art Style of Frost Punk and its trailers! Great job 11 bit Studios.
I imagine a lot of people a few hours after the storm cheering as they survived the storm and huddled around the generator shouting "The City Survived".
