Still remember the good time when we sent children in mines in a desperate effort to keep the Generator running, when we wiped out all the animals in the radius of 100km around the city to fill our people’s stomach, and especially when we executed Lord Craven in the hanging tree… Ahh 🥰

@@renzokuken1227 the issue in frost punk 2 is over population, not under population. Children are given things like "education" and "apprenticeships" ugh. Lame.
I love that they kinda talk about the old days of frostpunk 1 & that they still use automatons in this new era.
Well automatons were the mvp for quite literally of all city's even tough it might crush some ones leg by accident or get stuck, they were still the workforce during the big storm when no human could walk out to the mines or getting the coal of the deposits if the mines effectines was reduce or there isn't enough mines xD, either of respect or just no other alternative effective way to remplace automatons, keeping the automatons around is a fair choice, who knows, they might got upgrade so they wouldn't crush some ones legs because it was on a hurry xD
@@MrRafagigaprThere was no moment where we could 'make' new steam cores, we just scavenge from other places, like Tesla City and the Army Warehouse
@@MrRafagigapr Steam cores are was the peak of technology in the British Empire, you could never make them, you could only find them or scavenge them from Tesla City (i dont recall if Tesla City had the means to produce them or just had a lot of them)

@@BattleUnit3 Tesla City had specialist facilities for producing steam cores, they weren't scavenged, every core you got from the outpost was a brand new core.

My god. A game that supports modding from its base structure of the game, and supports twitch votes, all the while maintaining the story of society, faction and peoples?
I knew 11bit will let out only the bangers since This war of mine, but gosh. All the efforts. If this is the reason the latest DLC of Frostpunk was in haste, it is all understood, and forgiven. I knew this company wouldn't slip on their product without reasons.

I just wanna give insane props to 11 bit studios, well worth the long wait and delay, because the visuals, ambiance, and way the game is made to not be a copy of the first while introducing some elements and keeping the core idea is amazing

From what it was said early in the video of the old captain, im guessing that either the captain passed away of old age or just passed the torch to the player while the old captain retires and would only be referenced or would act as a advisor for the player for the continuation of new london xD, im guessing but would be cool specially if its around, could tell or reference stuff that happen after the main game on its last dlc or similar, i doubt it would be case but still could be a good detail xd
Yea the captain died and selected us to be the next leader. Kinda funny on a meta level.
In On the Edge, i think it was mentioned that the Captain died and was replaced with the Administrator
@@BattleUnit3 no wonder that how new london almost was almost lost if not of the outpost efforts with the help of the other compounds, the administrator almost fucked up the efforts of the captain of the main scenario, considering they didn't had a hospital (probably the administrator demolished the building lol) in one of the request lf items to send to new london xD

Makes sense. There's relatively little infighting because everything was the Captain's fault. Some people oppose his ideas and others favor it, but it all comes back to the Captain's fault. Everyone else was in it together or stuck opposing the new regime together. Simpler times

I fell in love with the Frostpunk universe seeing music videos put out by Stupendium, got the game and haven't looked back since stepping into the world of New London. I can't wait to step into the role of steward and see how far I can take each of cities. The care and love 11 bit Studios puts into their games is seen clearly and I can't wait for this Friday when it releases.
Dude I hope you can upload cities from the first game to here to continue the history of your city that would be really cool.
The game works with a completely different build system. It also runs on a new engine. It wouldn't be possible to implement, and quite frankly pointless

I've logged 280 hours in Frostpunk 1 and 12 hours in the Frostpunk 2 early demo. I know it's going to be incredible-though my poor citizens have no idea what's coming for them. Bring on the endless winter-I'm ready!
200 hrs and all achievements on the first one for me. Shame I missed the beta but it's making the hype and anticipation all the better.

Legitimately cannot wait for Frostpunk 2. My problem with Frostpunk 1 was that once you got used to it, it felt a little bit strapped for content. This feels like it would go far beyond the 48 days of "A New Home" and expand insanely, also opening up some more room for creation (though probably not error, if it's any bit like 1). And mod support is another great addition, I can't wait to see what I and others can create with mods that open up so much more to the creative aspect of the game
Mod support is huge! One of the biggest let downs of the first game was the lack of mod support. Glad to see its coming to the new game!

Simply amazing. The art style, complexity, atmosphere, voice acting everything has had a huge bump. Thankyou guys really look forward to putting some hours in! Frostpunk has been a game I have come back to every year on the ultra wide and the music turned up high hone always had the best atmosphere in any city builder I've ever played. Can never keep everyone happy like in real life and sacrifices must be made for the greater good! Well done to all the team and thankyou for taking the time not to rush this sequeal

Can't help but notice the absence of any military component to the game! With colonies comes the risk of war. Some colonies will grow and become autonomous, then ask for independance. And with many cities, war will occur because the cities that are poorer and less well managed will be envious of their neighbours. It would be interesting to have a military expedition mechanics similar to that for scouts. Basically you would form a war party and send it out with objectives, then hope for the best...! Or keep it at home or in a colony as a garrison in case of an attack, or even have it patrol the frostland. You'd have to pay your troops and make sure they remain loyal. A professional army would in and of itself form a faction and if you're not careful, it could seize power and dissolve parliament. Been studying a bit of Roman history lately 😅

Loved the first game, just got Frostpunk 2 yesterday and it looks like it might be 11bits best game so far, very hyped I know you guys won't disappoint, last time you listened to us and added endless mode, I know the wait will definitely be worth it

I really hope that there will be manny factions, because that would make replaying story mode or builder mode waaay more interesting (I would love to see lords vs workers for instance)

I'm excited for Frostpunk 2, and I know their attention is fixed on this title. But I would be very interested down the line in seeing this setting react to the world thawing again. With how bad the Ice Age is the sea levels are probably lower, and when things thaw it will cause lots of issues. A third game in the series may never happen, but I'd be interested in it.
