I'm so very sorry for your loss. I remember getting the VCR tape of the tour and for hours I would just dance to it. It's lovely how she included both Mike and Gabriel in her tribute. ❤. May God rest their souls
For all the shade people have given her for aging and not acting her age or for her changes in appearances she is and will forever be a icon and legend in the music industry. She should just have all of our respect but she's used to criticism and has stood strong. May the queen of pop reign on!
Yep! I just saw the show in Boston. It was a reminder to all of us what Madonna has given us. She's acting her age and I hope she keeps on doing it. The sad part is that so many of the haters could stand to act more like her and they would be free of a lot of that hate.
She can do whatever she wants she deserves it. Just want her to be happy like we all should be i hate when people say she should enjoy her 60s. We'll this is her enjoying her 60s and giving us a show to reunite us when this world esp the USA is so divided
This was so devastating. She is reminding us of the pain and suffering so many endured from AIDS. Thank u Madonna for teaching us not to forget. Bc we lost so many beautiful human beings bc of it. It was not a gay disease, it was a health crisis just like Covid.I do not take for granted the access to healthcare today. Let us never forget. Amen .❤
A moving tribute to the victims of AIDS and a reminder that Madonna has been supporting the LGBTQ+ community throughout her career and was one the first artists to take action at a time when the Reagan administration refused to even mention the pandemic, let alone act or allocate funds for research. Madonna donated all proceeds form her July 1987 MSG concert to AIDS research and the tour program included a stand alone comic book with life saving information about the disease. When Like A Prayer was released, she included an insert in each CD and LP with similar information.
The cult because now LGBT is a cult ridiculous and a plan of the elites. And I'm tired of this nonesense she is a slave of the elites. All political nothin else haven't u waken up yet about whats happeni g innthe world???
Her leadership and support for the community will never ever be forgotten. She has always been there for us and in return we will always be there for her . Our Queen !!
I love how the first portrait is of her roommate Martin. As well as the first backup dancers for her when she first started performing. This tribute is absolutely beautiful. So powerful. All those creative and amazing individuals. Gone too soon.
I'm re-watching this again. Martin, her dance instructor, Keith Hairing, John Sex who ruled downtown NYC before the city turned into commercial garbage. It's just so beautiful. And all these individuals were so creative and had their whole lives ahead of them...
This wasn’t just a tribute for victims of AIDS it was also a dedication to her friends who died from the disease you can see them on the screens in the beginning ❤ love the queen of pop 🫶🏾
Very touching and moving. She was in the center of the storm when the AIDS crisis happened, and was and always has been a big defendee of the lgbtq+ community even before it was trendy to do so.
I couldnt stop crying from watching it. One of the most striking and moving performances ever. her dance teacher who made her go to ny to pursue her dream, will be very proud of her in heaven now.😢😢😢😢😢😢😢 thank you madonna. Lets remember and honor them 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢 the queen ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I will always be grateful to Madonna for standing up for human rights back in the 80s when it could ruin your career to do so. That took courage and compassion.
She has been always respectful and unlike most people, open mind related to this disease. Even on the cover of Like a Prayer is warning the importance of using condom among teenagers, in the 80’s!! Madonna is ahead of our time.
Madonna’s song Live To Tell is in my top 5 favorite ballads & I am seeing this Tour on 1/9/24 in Boston MA & I’ve been lucky to have been to 11 out of her 12 Tours (I’m counting this tour in my 11 Tours the only tour I missed was her Virgin Tour other than that from her Who’s That Girl Tour to The Celebration tour & I have seen her perform Live To Tell 3 times soon to be 4 times & on her Confessions Tour her theme was about how many children are orphaned by AIDS in 3rd world countries & that performance was one of the most powerful things I’ve ever seen in a concert, literally had me with tears streaming down my face & watching this, she kept the theme of AIDS, but it was paying an homage to all the people. She knew and loved that passed away from AIDS. Even on her Who’s That Girl Tour she spoke about AIDS. Madonna has always been a pioneer trying to find a cure for such a wretched and horrible disease that I wish did not exist. I myself lost 3 very close and dear friends to Aids and it was something nobody should have to watch a loved one die from. The odd thing about the song meaning is that it wasn’t originally written about AIDS in 1987 Madonna said in an interview what the song is about. “It’s about deceit and mistrust & it is about childhood scars, bearing the burden of some enigmatic secret and coping with a painful past" So it’s interesting that she ended up, making the meaning about AIDS but if you listen to the lyrics, it could be about so many different things.
Thanks you so much for posting this. We won't get to see the concert here in Australia and "Live To Tell" is my favourite all time Madonna song. And made even more so here, with the tribtue to those lost to AIDS.

Shut up. This about the people on the pictures. Not her.
I've followed Madonna closely for more than 30 years, and this number is up there with the grandest things she has ever done.
I started crying during this performance when I saw it in SF on 2/27. It moved me in so many ways! So powerful!
No one can do a tribute like Madonna. She lived through it!
We all did.
