I was at both her Toronto Jan 11/12 shows and I shed a few tears during this performance.
Having seen the show in Brooklyn in December, I loved it even more this week at MSG, the most iconic place to see Madonna. This moment brought me to tears both times, such an emotional moment.

This performance is a highlight of this tour for me. It's deep, haunting, sad and beautiful at the same time. I thought she would never top her 'Confessions" version of this song, but this is just another level. A masterpiece!

I truly love this song. To me it's her best one. For her to be able to utilize in so many symbolic ways speaks to it's genius. At Close Range with her then husband Sean Penn provided a great backdrop for this song. What an underrated film that was. But then the song can speak to so many other emotions also.
This piece of true art for those who take pop music seriously has to rank pretty high on the list bravo Madonna.

Madonna along with Elton John took action seeing their friends die on them. It was however Elizabeth Taylor who started the as the cavalier after seeing her good friend Rock Hudson succumb to the illness. She said she is ashamed we have a president that does not know how to spell the word AIDS. Reagan could not ignore the public shaming and finally did something. He acted with hesitation just like Trump. This was when celebrities were actual stars with talent and used their platform to help create a movement. I'm in my 40s. I grew up terrified of the illness & we take the advances in medicine for granted bc so many didn't live long enough to get it. It profoundly gave me of sense of perspective & understanding that I am lucky & it could have been me or anyone else and live to tell about it. 🙏

She is 64 going towards 65 years old. Thx but am not interesting seeing a grandma trying to perform as if she is a young lady. Beside’s she no longer shows any respect towards her funds…she was late by 2 hrs to start her celebration tour and she is getting sued for that

Respectfully, I'm almost certain that you'd have NO COMPUNCTION with watching the Rolling Stones who are going on tour soon. By YOUR standards, they're a band of great-grandpas, right? Rock N Roll Hall of Famer Madonna, the Queen of Pop, can STILL put on one of the greatest, most spectacular performances that anyone will see in their lifetimes. I KNOW because I was at MSG last night & she SHOWED UP & SHOWED OUT... even at 65 with a bum knee & having had 2 surgeries in 2020. Issues with the exorbitant prices for concerts are justified... but, it's like that for the majority of concerts now. I was blessed enough to be able to afford the tickets & can tell you wholeheartedly... NOBODY ROCKS LIKE MADONNA LIVE. NOBODY. 👑💪💯
