    • @keenanvandeusen
      @keenanvandeusen Рік тому

      Something that could make it a game-changer is if it were a hydrogen car rather than electric. Hydrogen cars are better for the environment because they don't require lithium or cobalt, faster to refuel (same process as gas cars), and don't put a huge strain on power grids. Additionally, they're almost guaranteed clean energy whereas electric cars are only truly clean if the power grids they're charged from are not powered by fossil fuels such as coal power plants. But going hydrogen would require the implementation of a massive hydrogen infrastructure across the country which currently doesn't exist and hence, is unlikely for Apple.

Teachers told us all that we won’t have calculators in our pockets. Look at us now. Now a calculator is not a $3500 device but the principle is still the same. It seems most are willing to accept the tradeoff if at the end of it you get a permanent memory. And with this you’d get a recording more vivid and intimate than anything you could get with any ordinary camcorder or phone.
      Regardless, I do hope that:
      A) the headset lets you record video without you having to wear it, and
      B) Future iPhones are given the ability to record 3d video that can be played back on the headset

    Apple are dead in the long term. Companies that were based on based on innovation that shift to marketing and mind share will stagnate and the next disruptor will kill them dead in the water. Apple is now that company. more iPhone, more tablets, same device but next version. The business model is purely based on marketing and mind share. Steve Jobs was an innovator with apple phone touch screens, the iMac, software innovations etc. Yes, the current apple has capitalised on that but that has finite life and running just on brand name doesn't have long (in corporate lifespans) doesn't have long before a disruptor comes along and completely sweeps it away,

    I am a die hard Apple fan and think Tim Cook as done a great job. the one thing I don't like about him and I think quite a bit can relate, he's very stubborn when it comes to new features and innovation.
    I have asked about this feature for a long time, I've even sent Tim a letter to Apple Park. I'm sure again a lot of people can relate and express this frustration.
    On Apple Watch when you go to delete a conversation in messages you have to individually swipe each conversation to delete them. If you have a a lot of conversations this can be very time consuming. a better why needs to be added.
    on iPhones and iPads you can select and tap multiple to delete them or delete them all.
    Same goes Mac, you have to individually hold down "Control" and click. Again every conversation you have to do this to, this is also very time consuming.
    Apple does not pay attention to the little things like they use to anymore. Unfortunately, which is very sad.

    Is anybody going to speak out the truth to him or is everybody a paid stooge! Is anybody not seeing this or what! His company has data related to your health(Apple Watch) , obviously iPhone data, MacBook data, and now with 6 or whatever cameras mics and iris scanning and what not with the new headset. I have worked in google and meta last few years and I am really worried with the amount of data that apple has. All the other companies are scrutinised whereas Apple always is showcased as “most advanced features” , Why? Why are they not being scrutinised about their data storage is beyond my understanding. Remember people even if these features of turn off my data collection are there but the companies are quite smart and have already included ways to bypass the legalities of it. Meta was just an app, apple owns the whole ecosystem , imagine their influence

    • @barty8980
      @barty8980 Рік тому

      Geez, Apple keeps most of this data encrypted locally on your device itself, Apple doesn’t collect like 95% of it, and what it does you need to explicitly ok. Apple ATT gave Apple user the option and choice to allow or withhold apps from tracking or collecting data. By contrast, your employ at Google and META, two companies which collect EVERYTHING bout their users, and users’ contacts, friends, behaviors, browsing history, purchase and browsing behaviors, etc., and monetizes it by selling to advertisers and anyone who’ll pony up money, yeah, Google and META prioritize YOU and your data as the product to sell to other companies, while Apple prioritizes you th user as their primary responsibility to serve.and privacy protect.

      Whatever data Apple has access to , China has access to. Unless you're of the opinion that they're allowed to manufacture in China without the CCP having backdoor access to your data. Haven't seen a picture of the self-deletion nets around Apple's plants in China recently. They must have "fixed" that. But as long as they make a good phone , who cares? It's easier to take a stand on a human rights issue that doesn't really affect your phone choice. Oh , and Siri still sucks.
