- In today’s episode, we get to make some more progress on the BMW M2 build by installing some lowering springs from Macht Schnell. The springs definitely improved the overall stance and offer a more solid feel when going over bumps. Let us know what you think of the new look and don’t forget to stay tuned for more upgrades!

I like the cinematic, content and overall direction the channel is going with this build. Will be looking out for future content.
Much appreciated man thanks for the support✊🏾
Cinematics in the beginning we’re next level bro!! Fitment looks dialed now 💯💯
Respect bro🙌🏾 and yes loving the new stance 🔥
The car looks phenomenal! Black just looks so damn aggressive. Good job! 👏
Appreciate it🙏🏾, wasn’t a big fan of black cars in the past but this one has definitely grown on me😅
Wow, I've never seen anyone just unbolt the top bolt and go to town. Usually you want to take of the entire top hap and install. I'm glad you didn't get hurt and didn't mess up anything on the car. Doing it that way definitely saved you some time.
lol no worries man but the chances of the stock spring being super compressed and popping out are slim especially on a newer vehicle. I’ve done enough of these installs to know the best approach but always taking safety into consideration 👍🏾
That Intro was fire 🔥. Looks so amazing on springs. Fitment is so on point
Appreciate it bro, yeah I'm super happy with how the fitment turned out 😎
Dam that’s perfect stance, I also have 2017 looking to drop an inch too!
Yeah man this set will do the trick
Nice work! Keep up the quality content too! So true about lowering and then dealing with jacking up the car haha. Even on ramps there’s a lot less room to get under the car
Appreciate it man ✊🏾 and yeah gonna have to invest in a extended reach Jack most likely
Damn….the stance is SUPERB. No rubbing in the front too?
Thanks and no rubbing at all at my height
Killer intro! Made the install look easy! And that one finger gap is what it’s all about. She’s sitting pretty ✊🏽
Appreciate it bro! No more monster truck ride height over here haha
That daylight savings time ate up into your daylight on that install. New stance looks solid 👍🏻🔥
😂oh yes night time ain't no joke nowadays, and yes happy with how it turned out👍🏾
Looks Good! I thought you would rub a substantial amount. Maybe I'll see you on the road/Track some time in the Future. Blessings!
Lol I was thinking the same initially and happy it doesn't but yes definitely some track time coming up real soon
God damn bro that intro is sick. Amazing car
Glad you like it!
real good homie
Respect ✊🏾
Awesome ride bro! Hello from Costa Rica.
✊🏾Respect man
OG looks perfect with the competition mirrors
Not a fan of the competition grille and bumper
Thanks for this info bro, much appreciated. BTW, I could listen to you talk all day (no homo) lol. So much better to hear you describe the same process as everyone else haha
😂 appreciate it man✊🏾
Made installation look simple.
Respec cuz yeah it wasn’t difficult at all👍🏾
Car looks great! Love your editing too!
Appreciate it🙏🏾
Love the intro. Top quality!
Respect bredda ✊🏾
It is easier to take the outer bolts out rather than inner. Problem with outer is there more bolts
Current stance is how it should have been from the factory. Looking good bredrin. 🍻
Agreed✊🏾
Damn that intro is looking very good my man
Thanks a lot man definitely working on our craft each step of the way🙏🏾
Yes bro…car looks sick!!! Perfect stance. I was looking to get the Eibach springs and then I came across your video. The MS look to give a 5-10mm more drop over the Eibachs. I’ve also learned that the spring rates are higher on the MS over the Eibachs making the MS firmer.
So I’m in the UK and have a 2018 F87 M2 LCI. Just had camber plates, solid front arm bushes and rear toe arms fitted along with a geometry alignment to dial everything in. The idea is to get this car handling like a go kart. I’m not bothered about increasing power as I want to keep this car for a long time and reliability is important. So I’m spending my money to get this to handle the best I can for fast road use. With the mods I’ve just had done, there is so much more feedback and it handles amazing now. The springs are the next thing as it needs to sit lower but also give a more compliant ride for fast back road use.
The stock suspension is quite jarring and jittery, all owners of an M2 know what I’m talking about, as when you’re pushing it on back roads sometimes it feels like it wants to throw you off the road. At normal speeds around town, it doesn’t absorb bumps too well. The stock springs are too soft for the stock dampers and therefore mismatched.
I would love to know your thoughts on how the MS springs feel on a back road when you’re pushing it. How it is around town now?
Are they more compliant, does it feel like the car is more planted now and allow you to drive faster without it wanting to leave the road when it hits undulations/bumps?
Maybe you could make a video on it putting it through its paces on roads you’re familiar with 👊🏼
Sorry for the longwinded comment, our roads around the cities aren’t the best, but there are so many amazing country roads in the UK, and getting the suspension sorted is a priority in order to enjoy the car and these roads even more.
Great content on the channel bro!
Great comment man really appreciate it. I’ve actually made several videos since this one going through the progress of the car and how it responds on street and track, the upgrades you mentioned are definitely the way to go and will make the car feel more connected to the street and as for springs the MS was the best option besides doing a KW HAS kit that I’ve seen on the market..All the best with your build and definitely check out our most recent videos✊🏾
@@MotoGearTV thank you for replying. I don’t know how I missed the videos, I recently watched the one of you with your Dad and Uncle on the first trackday you did in the M2, that looked like you had a great day. I’ll dig into your video archive and see if I can find the ones with your review on driving with the springs on the roads.
As for the HAS kit if I’m going to go for and adjustable height kit I may as well go the whole 91/2 yards and get a coilover kit. The KW V3 is top runner for that at the moment.
There are some pro driving instructors in the Uk that actually say leave the stock suspension alone as it is very capable on trackdays, just needs a proper alignment but that means definitely getting camber plates to add the much needed negative camber up front.
I’ll be adding a set of lower springs, rear solid control arm bushes, droplinks/endlinks, and rose jointed rear camber arms and thrust arms, just to add stability and control.
I think that will get me an amazing handling road car.
All the best with the channel, look forward to some more M2 content.😎
All the best👊🏼
You guys made that look easy
😂 yupp was pretty simple bro
Been following the build, awesome stuff. Have thought about doing a seat swap for the comp seats?
Thanks a lot and Yes I have given it some thought actually spoke about it in my 1 year review video, thinking about doing a Recaro bucket setup which I think will be more noticeable both in looks and performance by holding me in place.
Looks awesome bro . May I ask how deep this beauty is on booth axis is from wheel center too fender edge ??
That looks beautiful. Awesome video bro!
Btw do you still have your e90 335i?
Thank you and no I sold the 335i earlier this year
Looking good, bless up
🙏🏾🙏🏾
Your car is beautiful
Great channel, intro for this one was awesome. Out of interest, you get any creaking from the suspension when you turn the wheel at slow speeds on these springs? Had that with most springs I’ve fitted in the past and was thinking to go with the m performance coilovers instead
I haven’t had any unusual creaking nosies as yet with this setup and if I had to do coilovers definitely the m performance would be my choice as well
Hey, sir! Nice video. How has these H&R been holding up? Also, why these then Eibach? I’m torn on which brand to opt for for my M2C
Hey thanks a lot but it’s actually macht schnell not sure how you heard H&R, but no complaints so far on these really good upgrade. I’m not sure if they will fit the M2C but you can check
Awesome intro Bro, sh#$s HOT!
🙏🏾🙏🏾
What was the torque spec of the 21mm bolt in the rear thats threaded all the way through?
Link for spacers?
great video... can you tell me what spacers you have on the car? did it come with its own set of bolts?
Thank you! It's Motorsport Hardware and we actually have a video going over all the details here:
ua-cam.com/video/0CAgzWqWrEE/v-deo.html
How many mm spacers did you use? I need your help please 🙏
I’m running 12.5mm spacers from Motorsport hardware
@@MotoGearTV thank you so much 👋
Lovely setup! What’s the tire size on those Cup 2s?
Thanks! It's the OEM size 245/35/19 in the front and 265/35/19 in the rear.
I'm trying to decide now what type of springs should I go with on my 2016 F80. Any recommendations?
These springs work on the F80 as well
How come you sold the 335i
You still happy with those lower springs? Do you lose lots of comfort?
Yupp still enjoying it so far, and if you’re worried about comfort then the m2 isn’t the best option or any M car lol but as far handling and positive road feedback it’s great with the springs 👍🏾
what happens to ur rims n wheels when u drop ina big pothole?
Nothing good I assume🤷🏾♂️ but I would suggest to avoid them
Hey what was the spring drop in mm ? 20 or 25 mm all round ?
I mentioned it in the video 6:50 but it’s about 30mm front 20mm rear
How wide spacers are you running?
12mm all around
thank you
Still way to high
