A Letch is pretty easy, lol. Is there a way to create nested components or to make those components unique? Something like a component within a component? I apologize if I'm not describing it correctly. Can you place multiple components in a group, so that when you are modifying the components in that group, you are not modifying the rest of the model? I'm not sure if this is the right approach, but I would like you to cover more of these topics.
Great video! I would like more approaches like this! Ways to improve SketchUp skills with tools and methods! In addition to this space for comments, how can I suggest new comments elsewhere?
I cannot make a 2 point arc on I pad or Mac. On both the same thing happens once I click the 3rd time to place the arc then it just disappears. Please respond to this with some help. I have been on several you tube videos trying to follow along and running into the same type of issues where the modeling process being used in the video doesn’t work the same way on my end. I have commented on servers of them and have never had a response. I am trying to learn this software but it is very difficult and frustrating when every time you sit down and try to enjoy a few minutes and learn you are met with complication after complication and are ignored when asking for help.
UA-cam is great for 'one off' tips and tricks but if you haven't already, you really should start and complete our fundamentals course over at: learn.sketchup.com/courses/sketchup-fundamentals-part-1
This issue arises when you try to model very small objects. To avoid this, create the model at a larger scale first, then scale it down to the actual size afterward. This prevents any problems with the drawings. Remember: Always create models larger than their actual size if they are small. After completing the model, scale it down to the actual size. This approach makes it easier, as SketchUp struggles with small models and can encounter drawing errors. Hope this helps! 😊
When did this Circle/Stamp feature come into existence? I’ve tried looking up help for Stamp but only get info on the contours tools. I’ve been using SU for years and this is as if I’ve just discovered a 27th letter to the alphabet.
Circle has been around since the beginning and Stamp was added as a modifier to the Move tool a few years ago. As for the 27th letter of the alphabet, it is the letter +| and it is called "Leel" #NeverStopLearning
Select the geometry you want to Stamp Copy, select the Move tool, then tap the Ctrl (Microsoft Windows) or Option (macOS) key two times. Click and release the selected entities to start, and click and release again to Stamp Copy. Boom! You're Stamping!
For Android, only the SketchUp Viewer is available on the Play Store. Just to clarify : Is there a SketchUp app available for Apple users in the App Store? Can we draw and create 3D models in that app on an Apple iPad
I cannot make 2 point arc from circle to bottom of rectangle. Once I click the second time my arc disappears this happens no matter if I got from rectangle to circle or vise versa. Why is this happening?
@@ramiyacoub2754 Do models with bigger dimensions (larger than real life). After completion of the model, size the model to the actual real life size. This prevents drawing errors. Because SketchUp struggles in doing small objects.

What else should we model?
How about Iphone 15 Pro max? or any car? a hand gun?
Make A door lock detailing
I'd like to see different ways of doing spheres and hollow spheres
I would really love to see how to do filigree ornamentation using the iPad app. W/o extensions. I found it frustrating using the curve tools.

@@SketchUp thankyou so much
It's working
Stamp dose not work on Mac
I did it in iPad Pro it took me hours but I did it all the way to the end except for the snap part. I don’t know if the Sketchup app has that.

Hello, could someone please take a look on the Web Fundamentals Course? All videos after the Quick Start section are not running. Thank you.
Seems to be working on our end. Have you tried it in a different browser? or Private tab?
Ctrl, not Alt
