I tried using the arc tool, as you did. I drew a small tangent arc, then went to the entity info window and changed the number of segments in the arc to three. I then ran the arc around my cube with follow me. I wound up with pretty much the same thiing you got by using your second method.
just put a tool like bevel in sketchup its been years with this problem...make it simple and of course inside the program so we dont have to pay extra 400 for add ons

Good vid. For a second I thought you were going to say SketchUp is going to add bevel's to the native tools, hahah.
