- WORLD'S FIRST ALL ACHIEVEMENTS SPEEDRUN UNDER 2 HOURS! With FULL post-commentary to offer extra insight into the strategies used and the logic behind them, along with some trivia. After 3 months of hard grind, praying for good RNG, and painful resets, I finally present to you the world record for the fastest Dark Souls speedrun where obtaining all 41 Achievements (Trophies) is the goal. For further clarification and amusement, I have added ex post commentary elaborating on all the strategies employed and the routing logic behind the entire speedrun. Please, enjoy!

Hey! I hope you enjoy this run. It took a lot of effort to achieve it and to record the post-commentary, so hopefully it was of some value to you.
I have a quick question, did you enjoy this kind of format? I changed it up from my previous 'All Bosses' explanation and instead of having some explanations between the regular run audio, I chose to fully commentate it. Both formats are fine by me, but this format is preferable, at least for the first video of a run type that has not previously appeared on the channel. Past that initial run, I feel the original audio would be fine, with maybe a post-run comment here and there to explain something unexpected.

i agree, ive only played ds casually and never really did any speedrunning unless the warframe obstacle course counts so seeing a video like this which explains everything while going through the run is amazing

I've done all achievents twice, on ps4 and ps3. 1st time it took me 100h, second 40h. Big time save, but still its 20times more than yours xD

It may be pain to record a voiceover over 2 hours of footage but this video is awesome because of it. I wouldn’t previously watch an entire 2 hour speedrun but this made me feel like i was watching it with a buddy. I also love understanding the buzzard glitches a bit more, it makes the speedrun much more fun to watch. So instead of asking “why is doing so much damage to the gargoyles wtf”, I know that you did a firebomb glitch… anyways, thanks dude I hope this gets a bunch of views ♥️

Why not? It is a fairly simple task. The hardest part is farming the Chandler's trident.
i platinumed DSR a month after first picking it up, if you’re actively hunting the achievments/trophies, it isn’t that hard

Knights honor makes it pretty hard. Also all miracles because covenants. You could say the same for pyromancy spells, but it's not as hard as miracles. And magic spells are just annoying for being expensive, the hidden ones are pretty easily found imo. Most of the others come just from exploring and making diverse characters. Imagine a glitchless all achievement run.
imagine being a steam worker handling a refund of the game and you see the player has 1.9 played hours and all achivements in the game

I like this a lot. The post run commentary makes it a lot easier to keep up for people who don't follow this challenge. And I like that you're genuine, unlike a lot of DS runners I won't name who try to force goofy personalities and just grind on me.

Miyazaki: Finally, the pendants true potential has been discorvered. Also Wow, never knew that about the Sanctus. I always thought it's designed looked very cool but out of place compared to every thing else, and now I know why. Lastly that run was so amazing dude. And getting sub 2 hrs on all achievements after only 3 months of trial is extremely impressive considering how rng heavy that run is. Mad respect man. What Git Gud really looks like.
I remember having recently discovered Demon's Souls and hearing about this contest leading up to Dark Souls's release. There were two winners: the other one is the Effigy Shield.
@@jonathancapps1103 interesting. I thought the Effigy sheild also had a very unique design, but not as out of place as the Sanctus. I swear I'll never stop learning new stuff about Dark Souls.

I always skip parts of speedruns but I watched this in full. The commentary is really great, it isn't fun to guess what happened on speedruns when you're not a speedrunner, so this kind of video hooks me
1:26:04, I think it's because they patched dead angling in the remaster. In the original, it probably works only at certain angles. If your attack is aimed away from the shield, you can hit behind someone's block regardless if you're actually behind them. In order to patch this, they likely removed that positional angle check from the block and just allow attacks to be blocked from all or most angles

Damn dude amazing run and amazing commentary video explaining it, Thank you for going through the effort to edit in an achievement counter every time you got one and even having it smoothly move out of the way for double achievements so you can still read them (1:32:32). This is the only run ive seen where a speed runner embraces the terrible random drop chance of these games past the very beginning where it'll be easy to reset and try again. Keep up the great work

So much skill needed here. I'm always blown away by the menuing while moving, but the dupe glitch on top of that is insane.

Just running to the left of the titanite demon (under its arm) left is faster, you just have to time a roll right when it shoots the lightning attack
