Thanks for the tip, here in the south we have a huge problem with fire ants. As fall arrives the ants seem to bed up under our driveways and sidewalks. We have the very large cockroaches, almost all that come in my basement shop, and die when they cross the bifen.
I pretty much coat my log home with it. Takes care of carpenter bees, wasp and termites. Last a few months.

This product keeps bugs out of your house if you spray around the outside of windows & door frames. If mixed with Permethrin 10 it can control bedbugs with success. I have taken this product to spray under storage buildings to prevent wood rot from termites. It also can be used on trees under pruning sealer to prevent termites. I've had good luck on an old sugar maple.
The mix ratio (2 oz and then fill to the 10 gallon mark) explanation is confusing for the hose-end sprayer bottle. Does this mean you're using a .05 per gallon rate?

Hey, I bought bifen i/t and cutter.... I have a deck in backyard... do you recommend spraying deck down too for mosquito control or only grass areas and bushes/ shrubs? Also do you recommend mixing cutter with the bifen in my chemical sprayer or only use bifen alone in the sprayer at its recommended dose?

Hi, I sprayed my yard and house all over with bifen.... I sprayed the patio light right outside my door..... so far so good with mosquitos and keeping bugs out, but tonight, 6 days after spraying (no rain for 48 hours after I sprayed) when I was out at night with patio light on, the flies were BAD right at the light... swarming the light.... I sprayed the light and surrounding part of the house by the light... this was the 1st time since I sprayed that I went outside with patio light on..... will the flies that kept hitting the light eventually die off from the residual of the bifen it (7.9%) or is bifen just not effective for flies that are attracted to the light?
I want to use my Bifenthrin on containerized ornamentals around my property, to treat mites/whiteflies/mealie bugs. I don't want to use a hose end sprayer, I'd prefer to use a tank sprayer, or even a spray bottle. The dilution of "per 1000 ft" has me so confused lol. Should I just dilute it as if I were using it indoors (0.5 oz per gallon)? I appreciate any help you can offer!

Hey Keith. Thanks for all the info. Couple of questions… We’ve recently moved to a property that hasn’t been lived on in 20 years. I’ve sprayed twice and it seems the fleas just keep coming. I’ve only sprayed certain areas so far. Am I defeating the purpose by not spraying everything? Can this product go bad?

Wow, some sites are saying wear eye protection, long sleeves and IF if gets on your skin, rinse 15-20 min. I bought this product from THIS company online. Cant get ahold of them by hone or email to ask Q. But the items I ordered did arrive promptly.
I love the good that bifenthrin does BUT you should take care not to spray the flowering plants. This is one of the reasons honey bees are disappearing.
I agree. Id use granulated bifin for flowerbeds. I usually only spray 3ft up and 6ft out from the foundation.

How much for trees, bushes, plants and flowers? I mean, if using a100 gall tank? you know, the whole yard?
I just use mine on pruning or old places pruned to control sugar ants & termites. On roses & junipers, I use neem oil. I do landscaping as a retired business in Virginia.
Is it safe indoors if you have animals?

I live in Hawaii and we have issues with little fire ants. They are hard to control. This product works well on them but I am trying to find out if it can be used on fruit trees like bananas ( a favorite home to little fire ants). I read the label and don’t see specifically if it can be used on fruiting trees. Does anyone know the answer??

Pretty sure the label stated not to use it around any source of food. Vegetable gardens/fruit trees would apply. Look for a more natural product to help with your issue.

It doesn't stick to them, however mixed with Permethrin 10 I've had success. It's not good for mattresses. You need Harris aerosol bedbug spray for that. Or you can use Bedlan or Crossfire aerosol.
If it rains after I spray my yard was it a complete waste?
No .the product bonds to soil and other surfaces within 30 minutes of application.rain won't move the treatment unless the rain is hard enough and persistent enough to move your soil around the house.still prefer to not apply if you know rain is imminent

What is the difference between Bifen IT and Reclaim IT? Asking since it says both are 7.9 Bifenthrin.
We mill our bifenthrin down to 5 microns so it stays in suspension well. The milling can double the time it takes to produce a batch at 8 microns but increases product stability. Since we sell to homeowners and a pint last a few years we need the product to be stable on the shelf (and in the garage) for as long as possible.

I personally asked a pest control guy. It's only 70% effective, but it does work. Mixed with Permethrin 10, the rate is 90%. For 100%, use Crossfire, Bedlam Plus, or Apprehend.
Just by quick look, I have hard time to believe that house and garden has ant, roach, spider, flea and tick problems. Perhaps the customer is going through some withdrawal symptoms and sees and feels insects that ain't there?
After trying permethrin with little success for flea control, now I just bought a bottle of this stuff from my local co-op, and I'm hoping it works!

I've used it in sand effectively before, however the sun kills it pretty fast so I had to keep re-applying. I eventually got the granules instead. If you've got pets, I don't think I'd want them walking on an entire applied surface 24/7 as they lick to clean themselves. You may want to try something safer such as Orthoboric acid 10%+ in powder form.

Once it is dry it is then safe.
Don't use it as a broadcast spray on carpet. It'll stick to your feet even when dry if your bare feet are damp. If you've made this mistake, most will vacuum up. Doesn't warn on cats, but I know Permethrin 10 is toxic to cats.
How would I use on an acre?

I have an outdoor drain at my basement door. They're attracted to the water in the trap. This runs into the city sewer system. I was told it's a violation to spray that. Use a couple ounces of cooking oil in the trap. It'll float to the top. It'll prevent larvae from mosquitoes.
Why do u use 10 gallons of water for 2 ounces of Bifen? Is 5 Gallons of water / 1oz of Bifen the ratio??
You can use 1 ounce per 1 gallon of water.
You should set a better example and use the proper ppe.

Those things aren't applicable because you aren't using a garden hose to fill the tank.i used a gallon jug filled by the hose and fill my hand held and backpack so there is no backfill going into the water system.thst is only for when you are filling a large tank from the garden hose
