Highly recommend JJ's podcast. He's not reading off of a teleprompter and actually goes really in-depth into the discussion. Unlike these guys who just phrase questions like "yo, you did this? Talk about it."

As a former Unionite, I was there when Charles had that confrontation with Baby Bull. It was at Storer Hall Dorm --- the one I saw -- an Oak came up and pushed Baby Bull and BB's arm went thru and shattered the RA office window of the dorm. BB was not seriously hurt and brushed it off -- yet embarrassed. In that state of mind, he dared anyone else to step to him -- no one did. But Oak was impressive with his action, courage & strength against BB. One side note: Oak, as big as he is/was used to drive a purple Volkswagen in college -- see u walking off campus and offer u a ride. He was a solid real dude...very humble.

I remember meeting Oakley in Atlanta. They were here for the Big 3 and I just happened to be in a bar that was next door to the hotel they were staying. He walked up to the bar right next to me, I looked up and was like “oh, it’s the legend!!” He said “what’s up” and he reached HIS hand out to shake MINE. I shook his hand and was “thinking man, that’s a humble move”. Usually these stars/entertainers/athletes act funny style with people and don’t want much interaction, let alone a hand shake. If I speak at all, I might only give respect with a head nod or a salute to let them know that I see them and what they are doing, but for Oakley to be so down to earth and humble enough to initiate a hand shake to a stranger, that says a LOT!!! His stories come off as if he’s just a bully. I think he’s just a humble dude that ain’t about to let you f&@k him over and will beat your @$$ if you try!!

Believe it or not, but the Bulls in the 80’s used to practice in an exercise club in Deerfield (prior to opening of the Berto Center). I joined the club the first year Doug Collins was coach. I staggered behind the coach on the indoor track that first day. Saw MJ a couple of times but I was someone who never approached any celebrity. The Bulls used the same locker room and weirdly I only was in the locker room twice with the team. One time the only other PERSON in the locker room was Oak. His locker was in the same row as mine, so I felt okay to say something. I simply said he had a great game the night before (true) and he was really nice. Seemed like a good guy
