I am glad Henry Harding & his possible child (enslaved population at Two Rivers Plantation "Mansion") were mentioned, but far too late into the video ~4:25ish/5:45. My students at TSU are working with the Nashville Historical Commission to potentially update this Historical Marker on the Plantation (& 5 others around Nashville) to reflect more about those that truly built this "mansion." They were used as free labor for decades during slavery in Tennessee for the Hardings/McGavocks, a prominent Nashvillian family (slave owners). I would like more of these Black ancestors' legacies honored, (beyond their forced enslavement) like Henry "Harding": "Some of the former slaves continued their work at Two Rivers after emancipation. And some, such as Henry Harding, went on to achieve success in the Nashville business world. At his death in 1888 Henry’s assets were valued at $88,000 and he was recognized as the wealthiest African American in Nashville" (Two Rivers Mansion:tworiversmansion.org/about/slavery/#tab-3).
