Beautiful restoration! I am native Nashvillian and lived in Donelson my entire life over the years have watched the mansion continue to decline- amazing how quicklu it was brought to life! thankful for the James family!

My, so Elegant, Classy & Lovely ! What an amazing piece of History. I'm so Happy that it wasn't torn down & made into condos, what a Shame that would have been ... Thank-you for sharing this old Beauty.

Hold up- it was not in shambles when they bought it. I was at the house working on it two weeks before it was purchased and it was in excellent shape- in fact the whole front had been redone. Maybe these people redid the landscaping and painted but that looks like about it.

Okay I had to look all this up and I found out most of it isn’t even true. Like I said, I have done work on this house before the James owned it and it was NOT in bad shape.
Also like another commenter said, why did they paint the ORIGINAL frescoes GOLD? When my crew worked on the house before, the previous owners were adamant that everything stayed original and really babies that house. It seems like the story about it being destroyed is for attention.

Also sliding barn doors are modern farmhouse decor, not antebellum home. And the plastic flowers are too much.
