  • In this 98th Video from Classic Car ChitChat you will get to meet a David who owns a stunning 1976 Monte Carlo. Design: The styling of the 1976 Monte Carlo was a luxury car with a sleek and aerodynamic design. Even with engine options you could get a 350 cubic inch V8 or a 400 cubic inch V8. The luxury of this car did not stop there with plush velour or leather seating, power windows, and air conditioning. The ride in David’s car is incredible with a smooth and comfortable ride, as well as its responsive handling.
The 1976 Monte Carlo has since become a classic car, popular among collectors and enthusiasts and much sought after by so many collectors. What makes David more special is that I met David many years ago and he was the owner of my 1973 MGB before I bought it off of him.
In case you are keeping Track this is Video # 98 of Classic Car ChitChat Videos!
I hope my Classic Car ChitChat videos make you smile. I do them in my spare time because I truly love cars and my intentions are simply to honour the beautiful cars I get to see and to really understand the passion and love of the vehicle by the driver (or caretaker as Jay Leno would say) of the car. I also understand too that my videos perhaps lack the polish calibre of great UA-camrs like: Doug DeMuro, Scotty Kilmer, and of course my favourite Supercar Blondie. I also know that I can’t even come close the quality & finish you get from the likes of Jeremy Clarkson and the boys at Top Gear. I think they use a little fancier equipment than my little iPhone… LOL
    Mission Statement:
My Objective through creating these videos is to shine the spotlight on people who love their vehicles whether it be a car, motorcycle, or even a bicycle…. Bottom line is if it has wheels and you love it then let’s show that passion to the world!
    Equipment Used:
    Camera
    - Just an iPhone SE (Nothing fancy - which proves anyone can use whatever you have handy to make a video… you don’t need really expensive equipment)
    - I also use Insta 360X2 which is perhaps one of the best investments I have made and allows me to capture some really cool 360 degree views and also creates a “drone like” effect with the invisible selfie stick attachment.
Gimbal - DJI OM4 - For that ultra-smooth cinematic look. (To be honest... still not quite sure how to use it but one day I will figure it out!)
Audio - Rode Wireless GO II (I gotta be honest… this is really the biggest investment that was made… I wish there was a cheaper option but after the first couple of videos I soon realized that audio quality is important and hopefully better than the onboard mic on the iPhone!
Contact Details: If you have any questions or just want to chat you can reach me through all the (non-traditional) typical ways through the following:
    Facebook - / classiccarchitchat
    Instagram - / classiccarchitchat
    Email - classiccarchitchat@gmail.com
If you have read this far, then I thank you. As always, I truly appreciate your “thumbs-up”, and by leaving your comments it demonstrates to me that I managed to get you involved and hopefully made you smile. Most importantly when you subscribe to my channel then you are truly acknowledging my effort to help share with others like you my passion and love for “all things that have wheels” and honouring the people who take care of them.
    Thank You
    Kevin

Hernandez, you are so right. The sweeping lines on this body style make it such an iconic and much sought after car from people who want to restore them to original and also so tempting to get them modified and make them even more unique. Recently while visiting Chicago I saw a low rider in the Monte Carlo with Purple paint that took my breath away.

I bought a used 1974 Monte Carlo. It wasn't perfect but it was in very nice condition for ten year old car at the time. It was dark blue and I added chrome wheels with B F Goodrich RWL Radial TA's.
Again, it was not perfect but it turned heads.
One of the nicest riding cars I ever owned.
( My big brothers friend had a 1976 Monte Carlo like the one in the video. The color was light blue. I remember when he bought it brand new. As a kid I remember thinking he was the coolest guy in town because he also had a blue Harley Davidson Super Glide. He also served in Viet Nam and was wounded in action. God Bless all men and women that served their countries ).

"What do you call that?" I think you are pointing to the beauty rings.
I grew up in the back seat of a '76. My dad's was black with black landau roof (or partial as a real landau covers the entire roof) and maroon interior. I was too young to know or care what engine it had. The first time I acknowledged my growth was the night I didn't fit lying flat between the armrests in the rear seat LOL. My old man doted on that car.
These cars have some of the sexiest hips of all time! One of the last designs to have that female Coke bottle design.

Front seat (love the name) … sexiest hips.. never heard that about a car before but you’ve nailed it. So true the Monte Carlo had the most beautiful lines ever imagined. • @ClassicCarChitChat
      @ClassicCarChitChat  7 місяців тому

Kathy, I can tell you still miss this car dearly. The Monte Carlo had by far one of the most beautiful curves on a car and no matter which angle you looked at her it just felt “right”. I had to laugh about your speeding tickets because it’s true.. this car goes very fast very quickly.. but the sound and feel any 70mph is the same as at 30mph.. so smooth.
