In this video Jory and Chad discuss the controversial topic of speaking in tongues and the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Jory shares a story of a friend who went through depression and suicidal thoughts after being told he would go to hell for not speaking in tongues. Jory explains how that teaching is unscriptural and that it is faith in Christ alone in which man is saved. Then Chad shares about his own experience of being baptized in the Holy Spirit and receiving the gift of speaking in tongues while at work, in a conference room, with a colleague who was instrumental in their spiritual journey. Jory emphasizes the importance of having a personal relationship with God and being able to carry the Holy Spirit with oneself rather than relying only on church services to experience spiritual growth.
Chad and Jory discuss the difference of "being born of the Spirit" and being "filled with the Spirit".
They discuss the struggle many have with the topic of "tongues" and attempt to bring light to the subject so the listener can understand the wonderful gift and tool God has blessed the church with.
