Becuase of this video I know I received the Holy Spirit. I've been waiting for years to speak in tongues but now I know I received him after two pastors laid their hands on me and the spirit of God moved within my chest like honey. All praise be to our father! Thank you for your information pastor Tiff! Keep it up
1lll
I know I will get chewed for this, but I'm gonna say it anyway. I believe the Holy Spirit enters every person that truly accepts Christ 100%. But, when the Holy Spirit comes and pierces your heart to accept Christ and you obey, and become saved, Jesus blood instantly washes us white as snow. Then we are to be water baptized, as a public announcement we accepted Christ. Then the Holy Spirit that entered when blood washed, we are to go out and make disciples. Tongues were given to the apostles to speak to ones who didn't speak the apostles language so they could understand. If we speak in tongues we are to have an interpreter, and to someone that can't understand your language. But the main part of this comment is, if all the Holy Spirit gave the apostles, who will step up and drink poison? Who will handle real poisonous snakes? I'm not saying the apostles didn't, Paul had been given this, though he wasn't one of the 12, because he was bit after being shipwrecked and it didn't hurt him.
When the Holy Spirit first came He never left, His initial coming was as a rushing wind, took a little while to come after Jesus ascended, and tongues of fire were oboe the heads of the 12. I have yet to see tongues of fire above anyone after. The sound of a mighty rushing wind has yet to be heard. I'm in no way saying this didn't happen, but I got the Holy Spirit when I was pierced to accept Christ, when I said yes it was immediate. All things became new, all my drinking, carousing, my temper was gone, right then, I didn't have to wait for the Holy Spirit, He was there. God sent the Holy Spirit after Christ ascended and never left. But to have to wait, or wait, then speak in tongues is not scriptural after the apostles and Paul. This thinking started back in the early 1900s at azusa Street revival, but no history of it other than the Bible with the apostles, till then. No the second you accept Jesus invitation to be saved, you get Baptized in His blood, and relieve the Holy Spirit, that cleans you up. I'm not trying to offend anyone, but if all of it was passed to all of us, drink some poison, put your hand in the vipers den, this isn't making fun, just saying why only part of it, and not all.?
May God bless you and yours, and I hope to see you in the rapture.
Preach it brother 🙏🏼
Amen Brother! Speaking in Tongues is Speaking in worldly language for people to know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
You are officially my spiritual teacher! Hallelujah a pastor that teaches out of the BIBLE.
Act 8:19 saying,”Give this authority to me as well, so that everyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the Holy Spirit. “
Simon is clearly asking for the ability to lay hands on people to fill them with the Holy Spirit. He is NOT asking them to lay hands on him so he can be filled with the Holy Spirit. Seems clear to me. No tongues here
Amen In Jesus name 🙏 ❤.
How many messages in tongues with an interpretation should be given in a church setting?
Amen 🙏 🙏
maybe unless it explicitly said that speaking in tongues was permissible i wouldn't believe it would be possible to be a vehicle for sin & demons
The baptism in fire means hell not the Holy Spirit. This is false teaching. John said he baptized in water but Jesus will baptize in water and fire. In salvation and JUDGEMENT.
I still don't get it, I dont understand then why when someone is speaking in tongues in the church or churches it always sounds the same & repeatedly so how could it have different meanings when someone interprets? It is still questionable to me 🤔
Some people have been taught how to mimic it, unfortunately. If they don't they'll have the appearance of someone who is not truly saved.
1 Corinthians 14:27 ESV If any speak in a tongue, let there be only two or at most three, and each in turn, and let someone interpret.... No1 eveR Interprets that Ive Heard........
SPEAKING IN TONGUE IS SPEAKING IN WORLDLY LANGUAGES THAT CAN BE VERIFIED. Speaking in tongues was used to Proclaim the word of God through our saviour Jesus Christ. Repent and believe the Gospel.
Water baptism is not at all necessary.
1 Corinthians 14:39 ESV
So, my brothers, earnestly desire to prophesy, and do not forbid speaking in tongues.
Appreciate your “easy to follow” teaching methods. Very clear and straightforward. It’s sad there is an epidemic of Biblically illiterate Christians. Too much time spent being entertained instead of spending time in the Word. Just that simple.
I need a syllabus.
Plsam 5verse9 o worship the lord of holiness fear befor him all all earth need even the the bells of the everthing will be
Nope. The Bible does not say that tongues will abide with us until The Lord Jesus Christ returns. It says that they will cease (of themselves, though no definite time frame is given). No definite time frame (check out the verb in Greek) means you cannot say when they will cease. Practical evidence for tongues and "praying in tongues" is lacking.
That's a crazy coat, Dad. It goes with the Ovation in the background and that tidy piece fireplace in the corner. Cozy.
God bless you Tiff Shuttlesworth
I was wondering if you could do these teachings on each book/s of the Bible because as a new student this has more clarity in the text chapter/s is very important and a part the learning journey of understanding the Bible.
When I first start reading the Bible it was very hard to understand what it was actually saying to me…. I need you to explain teaching each book would be more effective understanding of the Bible
Thank you 🙏
Amen Pastor, this teaching has been a blessing indeed. Thank you so much. God bless you. Watching from the United Kingdom
Beautiful teaching & I'm looking forward to part 2. I want to grow in Christ & receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit. God bless 🙌🏽 you brother Tiff & all that watch this teaching 🙏🏽.
I believe in this gift but it has become such a divisive thing in the church world. How do you counter those who cite 1st Corinthians 14:22 and say this was only meant as a sign to non-believing Jews because the jJws are the only people that require a sign? The nation of Israel began with signs done by Moses. These naysayers say the sign gifts ended at Acts 28. what say you? It is important for our experiences to line up with truth. I look forward to your comments.
Amen!I believed in God words,of Jesus Christ. Thanks brother Tiff, for letting us know, about the meaning of speaking in tongue. Praise God hallelujah 🙌
At my church they interpret. It’s the church of God in Sebring Fl. They believe in the trinity also.
I need the boldness even though I received the baptism in the Holy Ghost. I find I am shy to talk to people about Christ so I need to know how to witness.
Doesn't Paul teach about speaking in tounges and how it should be done.
Is baptism of the Holy Spirit the same as being filled with the holy spirit as used in Acts 2.4?
Looking forward to Part 2…..🙏🏼🤗🙏🏼
Hahaa... Lalalaallalalala... like toddlers do.....
Amen pastor, are there still any modern day apostles?
Wow that’s a powerful message! 🙌🏻
Great Blessing and joypul truthful message
A wonderful explanation of the word of God.. Glory to God
On my sidebar I see "Is speaking in tongues necessary for salvation?"
What if you saw some soldier fully equipped for battle. Would you say to him, "Is that piece of equipment there, necessary to survive in battle.? Could you survive without it?"
There are only three instances in scripture that tell us of believers recieving the Holy Spirit and what happened the moment that they recieved. In each instance, the first thing that happened when they recieved the Holy Spirit is that they spoke in tongues.( Acts ch.2,10,and ch.19).
Amen!! i (Believed) inn God/Jesus I knew i was a Sinner and put my faith inn Christ/Jesus win 🥇🏆 i was six or seven years old but did not Receive His Holy Ghost, Power!!, Spirit until i was 21 years of age is win 🥇 i wuz finally baptized with and through His Spirit. Was i own my way to heaven yes! but no victory 🙌 power!! over my sin'$ until i was baptized inn His Spirit. No Spiritual gifts no callings juss a Sinner saved by His grace on my way to heaven....... It's very possible to believe but never receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost 👻.
This is absurd. This is like a barroom barrister pontificating about a football game. Silly.
There is no second filling of the Holy Spirit after salvation. We are completely filled with the Holy Spirit upon salvation. Hindus and Muslims also speak in tongues when they are possessed with the kundalini spirit.
Yes but you can loss your salvation if you turn back to your sinful nature. Thats in the word of God as well
I accepted JESUS and was water baptized before high school. I went to a different church and asked the HOLY SPIRIT to dwell inside me at the end of high school. I didn't pray in tongues until then.
Didn't Jesus start His church when He called His apostles to follow Him, in Matt 16 he says "tell it to the church", so the church already had to be in operation, but you are right, it become empowered on Pentecost.
TIFF I've been saved her over 40 some years now, I was wondering I don't believe you had you have to be water baptized as a criteria for salvation. I believe as I've read scripture it says that Jesus baptized in his Spirit when we're saved and he says those that will call in the name of the Lord will be saved pretty basic to me for salvation. I know we have to repent turn away from our sin ask forgiveness realize that we couldn't pay our own sin debt that he did it on the cross for us he was propitiation for our sins but there's so much confusion about water baptism could you please clear it up when you have time thank you.
The greatest gift to the church indeed.
10say among the hearthen that the lord reign that word also shall not be moved he shall judge the peole
Another blessed teaching of the word of God!
God bless you brother Tiff 🙏
👍❤
Speaking in tongues is a heavenly language which comes from above from Yahweh/God and even common sense tells Us that we cannot perform it on our own and certainly not any old time we desire to or even everytime we are in a Assembly of God. Those people are juss trying to show off in thee temples they don't even know what they are saying, babbling on and repetition themselves.
Speaking in Tongues is Speaking a worldly language.
Tongues is a gift from God . Not everyone speaks in tongues only those that pray for the gift
The Holy Spirit is a.great gift from God to empower and guide believers. God bless you.
My mother was a Pentecostal she used to speak in tongues all the in private and in church so today I was taking notes listening to your teaching on 4-30-2023 and when I turned my note book page it looks like it has blood on the page on the first line then the third line and the tenth line all in red and at the bottom on the left bottom looked like it was smeared I check myself to see if I was bleeding could not find any on me. It is sunny out side and we have a wind gust up to around 30 mph. Did I watch this teaching at a good time! I know that God is with me I will let you be the judge god bless you brother Tiff Shuttlesworth keep up the good work. Amen.
Hallelujah Jesus Amen
Amen 🙏🏻

Why do many people say that it’s of the devil?
Because they don't understand what they have not experienced. I was also taught that it was of the devil. When I got serious with God at the age of 21HE led me to an apostolic church where I was first introduced to saints who spoke in tongues. I, like everyone else who has never experienced it thought I could never understand it. But I saw something in these people that I did not have. That was joy, faith and power that I was lacking. Because I sought God sincerely, I received the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues. It was for me the most powerful, out of this natural world phenomenon I had ever experienced in my life! I am now 67 and the Holy Ghost with power has still kept me on the path of righteousness.
Amen
Do you could tell a bad spirt to leave a wild dog by saying. In Jesus Name leave ?

Theistic Evolution:
In the beginning --> Animism (gods and spirits in everything)

The Bible is record of His story. God revealed himself to mankind through the Word. God in his infinite wisdom designed the Gospel message to sound like nonsense to non believers. He is in control of who will believe. I sense the Spirit is nudging you, and in your rebellion you are blurting out what sounds like nonsense. I have been there. I’m going to pray for you right now. 🙋🏼♂️
I’m a Christian but I’ve never spoken in tongues, does this mean I’ve never received the Holy Spirit.? Can I still go to heaven even though I’ve never spoken tongue.?❤
Speaking in Tongues means you will start to speak in another Language for example : you are speaking in English .. and suddenly you started speaking Galilleans or other native language (Acts 2:1-13) so speaking in tongues means speaking in someone else's Language..this what i think ..!!!
I believe Heaven will be full of believers in JESUS who spoke in tongues and who never spoke in tongues.
I've never spoken in tongues but I'm on my way to Heaven
Thank you Pastor Tiff! I'm looking for more understanding in speaking in tongues and can't wait to watch Part2. You've mentioned before that His Spirit can supersede on our behalf to help us pray. I desire to be worthy of this Holy Gift. 😇
It doesn't have anything to do with babbling
The pastor is not biblically
Correct .
This gift was given in the
First century church
So apostles could go into
The word and preach the good news . They were able
To speak in different languages without
Being schooled. In that
Language .
🤔where does it say that in the Bible?

@@fiallosfiallos6283Just want to check on your Bible Study. It’s been a year now. I pray that the Holy Spirit gave you wisdom to understand what Speaking in Tongues truly means.
You are such a good teacher and thank you for tonite's teaching.
Paul was a self appointed, apostle. He wasn’t walking with God. He had no proof that he did walk with God. The criteria for being an apostle is they had to be alive and met him during the three years Jesus taught. I don’t like hearing about Paul why don’t we hear about what James said Jesus, his brother?
Jesus made Paul an apostle
@@RabbiMurray could you please provide the scripture?
@@RabbiMurray I thought you had to walk with him while he was alive to be an apostle?
1 Corinthians 14:19 ESV
Nevertheless, in church I would rather speak five words with my mind in order to instruct others, than ten thousand words in a tongue.
Orderly Worship
26 What then, brothers? When you come together, each one has a hymn, a lesson, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. Let all things be done for building up. 27 If any speak in a tongue, let there be only two or at most three, and each in turn, and let someone interpret. 28 But if there is no one to interpret, let each of them keep silent in church and speak to himself and to God. 29 Let two or three prophets speak, and let the others weigh what is said. 30 If a revelation is made to another sitting there, let the first be silent. 31 For you can all prophesy one by one, so that all may learn and all be encouraged, 32 and the spirits of prophets are subject to prophets. 33 For God is not a God of confusion but of peace.
and speak to himself and to God. and speak to himself and to God. and speak to himself and to God. and speak to himself and to God. and speak to himself and to God.
so i can speak in tounges at church whenever i want, as long as im not addressing the entire congregation?
@@craigstevens9351 you are a fine example of why the gift of tongues is the least of all the gifts. The gift of tongues at Pentecost was to fulfill scripture. It was for the unbelieving Jew, a sign that judgment was coming.
@@jakebergen9258 "It was for the unbelieving Jew, a sign that judgment was coming." so is that ALL tongues was for🤣🤣you dont really believe that do you? have you studied 1 Corinthians 14? there is A LOT of scripture on tongues. it wasnt just a few scriptures in Acts 2
@@craigstevens9351 no that’s not all tongues is for. Hadn’t read this being mentioned yet, that’s why I wrote it. When I pray I will speak my own language to the Lord (English). Perhaps Paul should have wrote you a letter. Oh yah he did 🤦🏻♂️
