- Hello Folks,
A few months ago, many viewers emailed me to express their interest in traditional Japanese carpentry, to show the most amazing view of traditional technology and its importance to present life. We decided to make a video about: "The Different Types of TeaHouse Roof - Traditional Japanese Technology Still Being Used"
#japanesewoodworking #teahouse #technology
I edited the script, rewrote the content, new voices were recorded, new effects work, new music, new footage added and a new creation is created as Teahouse Roof Types: Copperplate thatched, Kayabuki Thatching, Thatched tile and Wood shingle

I'm from Germany and I'm a roofer master
, what I have always admired about Japan, the roofs .. these filigree, harmonious roof shapes, full of sensual curves
made with so much heart and soul and with such different materials .. simply worth admiring
I bow to so much skill ...
Hope Google translated correctly .. THANKS ...

Wonderful. Keep these traditions.
Almost everything the Japanese make is a thing of beauty! Especially when it comes to handcrafted items and they are guaranteed to lasts for generations!

I wish they showed how they assembled the copper ridge section of the roof. That part is always left out.
