I'm a 74-yr old lady who has raised 4 children alone and had a home built. I took care of it all by myself; until my sons were old enough to take over and then they went go to college. Then I trained my daughter, the baby. We painted interior walls, patched and caulked, sanded. Cut in and painted the whole interior. Then we removed the old carpet, cut in 4 feet rolled sections etc, prepped the floor and put down oak flooring. My kids know how to take care of a home. From gutters to the dryer vent, all is taken care of, and this knowledge saves them time and money. Otherers today don't have a stitch of HOW-TO knowledge. Loved it all, done it all. Thanks.
The method of lowering/ raising (rolling) a heavy cylindrical object (log, barrel, pipe, bomb, etc) up/down an incline, has been called 'parbuckling' for hundreds of years.
Yeah that would be pretty stupid to do as a new thing. It was a very specific case. The building was already painted with white a long time ago, he just repainted it. No one would be dumb enough to waste many liters of white paint like that. Best way to paint bricks is still the classic way. Just paint with a roller then paint the mortar between bricks with a small brush.
I have to agree.. seeing all the electronic crap on cars that just make it easier to do a simple thing...rolling up windows...lol yet human's ae truly lazy but... they're willing to pay for it... Which makes then bot only lazy, but stupid...... lol
Wallpaper hack is brilliant, when you have to wallpaper an old house , council property you'll soon find you have a fight on your hands to 1 not overlap 2 keep it straight 3 have unsightly joins. As long as it's not matching up wallpaper and has texture to the wall paper it's perfect wish I had seen that year ago.
Concrete on the roof? I hope the building is strong enough. That's a lot of additional weight they're adding. Some of the hacks were pretty cool though.
What's a cheap and durable way to make a trailer roof leakproof ? The tar and elastomeric I've used only lasts for one season and I probably have 6-7 coats that now has high and low spots and a network of cracks over the whole thing.

the washer machine brick oven?? that red brick or concrete can sometimes hold moisture it wouldn't be wise to use it for an oven. moisture turns to steam trapped steam likes to make things explode. lesson i learned the hard way
On my very first job i was at a company that did metalworks. Before they let this 14-year old kid run around alone in the forklift they wanted to test, for obvious reasons, if i was going to panic and kill someone or not. So for my 30 very first minutes of driving a forklift i got to act as a skylify, lifting workers around on a pallet 18ft up in the air so they could work on the ceiling. I said i wasn't sure about it, but they just said: "don't worry kid. I promise you'll figure it out, cause you KNOW i'll kill you if you drop me." 😂 They were right though, i did figure it out and in the end they were satisfied that i would be able to calmly handle the various stressful situations they knew for a fact that i would become the cause of.😅

@@Muck006 I know. It can't. Not designed for thermal expansion. There's really nothing you can use an old toilet bowl for. I used to have an office where an old toilet bowl sat in the courtyard. Over the years, dust and dirt blew into it, and weeds started to grow from it. That's probably as useful as it gets.

Maybe attach something magnetic to the tip of the wire? Another magnet perhaps? [This doesnt really work in dry wall ... unless your basic construction is made out of wood and not metal.]
