Heads-up: you don't need to remove the back to attach additional cases or accessories (which HMD call Outfits) as implied, that is the whole point of the pogo pins on the back. The screws are for removing the backpanel for repairs. Likewise, there is a case/outfit that can add wireless charging to the device, but the additional cases are not for sale yet.
Thank you for the review! For some reason i love HMD design language + clean android. Fusion is too underpowered for my taste but I'm thinking about buying the Skyline.
Im kind of tempted to play frankenstein with this device, its internals are nothing to write home about, so it wont be playing genshin at 60fps on high or nothing.. but the pogo pins, my god the addition of those os a game changer. Think of it for a second, you could feasibly due to the openness of the API and hardware specifications, create your own outfit with a compute unit inside that runs linux, and it turns into a smartphone and a computer.. and if you do some modeling and have the knowhow, you could build a controller that is like the razer junglecat, and essentially turn it into a game console that can run steam.. the possibilities on this are quite literally limitless. And when you dont want to play, just pop it off the outfit and its just a regular smartphone again and not a tiny steam deck anymore. Id like to get this just to mess with the infrastructure of this device for funsies.

The selling point is the outfits and 108MP Camera, with industrial design & repairability. Unfortunately the outfits aren't ready at the moment
They’re on their site now but only 3 colors; cyan, pink, and blue
I cant find specs on type of battery.. if li-po need to treat specially or it will only last so long
So far I haven't seen any groundbreaking Outfits. Moto Z line had much better ones.
Does the screen have pwm (pulse width modulation) at any flicker \brightness rate?

facebook kindred linkedin amazon express booking fitbit Can they be disabled?
From what I read, only Facebook that can't be uninstalled, only disabled on HMD phones
Now Meta spyware come preloadedon Hmd devices that used to be clean.. I honestly hate this and i dont buy it
Expensive … never hear this company name too
Nokia brand owner HMD
Just no longer using the Nokia name
Quite an over priced and underwhelming specd phone tbh especially with the LCD display. Like, c'mon hmd, it's end of od 2024...
