That car was ahead of it's time. I had the 1995 SR-V. I still have the fog lights that I bought form the dealer. Never knew how rare those fog lights were to begin with.
Both Preludes look awesome. Back in the late 80’s and early 90’s, Honda/Acura were not given the respect they deserved. It took a couple of decades but these cars are finally starting to shine in the light. I have been a Honda guy for over 25 years although we do have 2Toyotas and a Mitsubishi Montero in the fleet 😊. Always appreciate your vlogs TH. Keep bringing us down Honda nostalgia lane.
Such a beautiful car. I miss my '92 4WS. To date, it's my favorite car. I did everything with it. Daily drove it, drag raced it a few times, and took it to the track many times, as that's why I bought it. I took mine to the 2004 National Prelude meet at BeaveRun (Now PittRace). I'm going to get another one some day. Literally considering a '94 4WS right now! It's rough but I would love to save it. '94-'96s are definitely the best versions of this car. The upgrades were needed.
@TysonHugie Tyson, I have a physical copy of a Dec 1992 Car and Driver magazine that compares the "new" VTEC Prelude to the VW Corrado, Mazda MX-6, Eagle Talon, and Ford Peobe GT. If you would like it to make any copies of it, you're more than welcome to use it. I would like to keep it, but would be very happy if you can use it. Let me know and we can go from there.
You know, I didn’t love the fourth gen when it came out (I was in high school when it was unveiled), but as I’ve gotten older and older, I’ve come to appreciate its design (I thought it was too big when it first came out, especially when compared to previous Prelude generations), and the engines were a true step forward from older models. This is a lovely survivor - glad to hear it’s going to a good home!
I'm a bit partial most likely. I've adored 2 of these cars in my lifetime. Still own one (94 SI 238k) to this day. I think they are one of the more beautiful cars ever made. They have such a timeless shape and look to them. Not to mention how well they drive.
Thats a gorgeous car, loved them ever since their release and own 3 of them Honda really spoiled their customers with its body design, especially for the time
Love it! ... I had a 93 4ws ... And a 96 SR-V (Canadian model) I miss them ... But my 54,000 mile 01 will do ... I like the Lloyd's mats too ... I just put a set in my LS400 ... I went with a berber set ....
With the movement of a recent Contour, I wonder if this'll end up in the garage I'm thinking about... The fourth gen is certainly my favourite and a car I'd love to add to my fleet if I found a clean one here.
Tyson - I often wonder if there's some GenXers that see a clean prelude and think to themselves: "What was I thinking putting on fog lights and body kits dude bro!?" - These days I still see the same trash on newer cars. I'm continually lost/amazed at how people still say: "their car their choice" when - very very very very little aftermarket bs ever ages well at all. Any LARGE deviation from OEM = does not age well. Are there exceptions - YES , but it's rare!
How noisy?! I drove few days ago at the top speed for almost 30 min with the sunroof open. I forgot it was open . Is more noisy with the side windows down

Wow, yes those fogs are crazy rare.
My friend had this exact car & I had a ‘93 Del Sol Si in samba green. What a time to be alive 🎉❤
Absolutely! “Golden Era”

Absolutely. Thanks for checking it out!
They should bring back those great engines of the Honda
Definitely

Wow I didn't realize National Prelude Meet is/was a thing. Gonna have to look at that.

Thanks Tim
The 5th gen Prelude was my all time favourite, the looks and front end lights was so ahrad of it time.
Definitely, that was a great design
Classic gem. I have never driven one but I can imagine that it is a wonderful experience. Thanks for sharing. 💙☮️
Thank you!
Milano Red is guaranteed to fade to Milano Pink. Especially on the plastics.
That's for sure!

Agreed, the driving experience is awesome!
seeing a clean example makes me appreciate how beautiful these cars are
Agreed!
A friend of mine had a black ' 91 with a manual. We drove it to Cleveland from South Carolina and back. It was quite the experience!
I bet it was!
this car has double wishbone rear suspension too. Very rare and sporty. I would install the factory stereo.
Agreed
Thats a gorgeous car, loved them ever since their release and own 3 of them
Honda really spoiled their customers with its body design, especially for the time
Agreed!
I am so in love 😍 I hope you hang onto it for a while. It’s still my favorite car I’ve ever owned.
I wish I had room to hang onto it!
I remember sitting in that 4th gen in a Honda dealer when they were new and being blown away by that low, far dash.
Agreed!
I’m glad it’s going to a good home. That 4 wheel steering is pretty trippy !😮
It's a blast to drive!
❤ that red. However, if I was ever to own a Prelude, it would have to be an 2001 Electron blue 5 speed.
Now you're talking. That's an incredible car/combo. Especially a Type SH.

Yes I'm very impressed with the Lloyd's quality!

Glad you enjoyed it! :)

Haha. My lips are sealed!
Love them both. Great video again. Can you share your technique on what you use to polish the exhaust tips.
Sure, it’s called Mother’s Mag and Aluminum polish!
I love it🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Thank you!

Any thoughts about the new Prelude Hybrid?
Yes there's been a bit of news about that today. Looks good. I'm interested in seeing what powertrain options are available when it hits the states.
The 1989 Prelude looks way better.
They both are attractive to different people I guess
So, how noisy is the opened sunroof on that red hot chili pepper?
Not bad to be honest!
How noisy?! I drove few days ago at the top speed for almost 30 min with the sunroof open. I forgot it was open . Is more noisy with the side windows down
Wow and wow
Thank you!
