Solid coilovers and a good wheels and tires setup changes this car completely. The prelude I drove for a long time is 2600 lbs with light weight wheels running 225 square Toyo proxes R1R. Energy suspension bushings and tein 16 way adjustable coil overs. Stiff mounts.. This is probably making 115 to the wheels. This one is spinning 9k rpms running a F20b with cams making 230 whp. It's about as fast as a stock gen1 coyote mustang 6 speed manual car. It should beat it actually.
I loved this car in high school. It was so cool and so fun to drive. We had such better cars back then. Now it’s all bloated and boring vehicles. We had the Integra, the Eclipse, the Talon, Prelude, Probe, Celica, 3000GT, and I’m sure I’m missing some. Great time to be a car guy.
Mechanical rws is fancy but complicated. That may be the reason Honda ditched this setup and used torque vectoring FWD (SH) instead, in the next/final generation. Prelude is underrated. They are amazing to drive.
The brakes were defect on the Prelude. Don’t want to sound like a teacher but you shouldn’t drive like that. The ABS is defect and the light was on since the start, that’s a common issue after these years. Mine had the ABS block repaired and breaks like a dream.
Not an SH. SH was 5th gen with ATTS. This is a 4th gen with 4WS
I had that car. Red with the 5 speed. Loved it.
Even Doc Jubbal enjoys a car in automatic that’s a pure car enthusiasts in my book. I wish you can do a 07/08 Honda Fit I feel ppl are sleeping on.
I’ve driven fits and they’re a riot
The prelude auto slush box was not too bad. Long gears tho

I had a 92 S in blue. We added a cold air intake, headers and a twin pipe muffler. It was such a fun car!!

Once my turbo 93 VTEC is done. Maybe I'll let you take it for a spin. An actual proper prelude.
They were also the most reliable car in America at one point.
I know La Jolla when I see the VA Hospital 😂

Well said!
The 5th gen also had conventional LSD ,4WS and SH in the states. Europ and Japan got 4WS
@@TheBb6prelude 5th Prelude only offers base and Type-SH in US. Neither has 4WS.
still hauls ass and really pulls good
Saw this 😅 on Craigslist
I had this car!
With the 5spd
I've had a 1990 Si 5-speed and a 2001 Si 5-Speed w/VTEC. It was not an SH with ATTS.
Cool Car 👍👍
