Israel was founded by UN National Security Council 75 years ago. This country is an occupier of Palastinian lands and has not obeyed UN Security Council Resolution # 242 for 57 years. As an occupier of Palastinian lands, Israel has killed thousands of Palastinians before October 7, 2023. Moreover, before Israel occupied Southern Lebanon for 18 years, there was no Hezbollah militants. In other words, Israeli occupations has been the cause of founding of Hamas and Hezbollah.
God didn't give Israel the Palestinian land. The UN Security Council approved that Israel would have 55 percent of Palastine and the rest of today's Israel, belongs to Palestinians which is illegally under occupation of Israel.
International law is quite clear on the question of occupation: it is a criminal act. A consensus among international scholars underscores that an occupier cannot invoke the right of self-defence against the people it occupies.

It's a tragedy for a country the size of the states to be dragged in a war after a war by a handful of a foreign agents ..
I disagree that the US is being dragged in. The US is going willingly and is absolutely complicit in this genocide. This never had to happen. All Biden and Blinken had to do is call for a ceasefire a year ago, tell Israel to stop and cut off the American bombs immediately (which they are obliged to do since Israel is breaking US Leahy law and International law) to get Netanyahu's cooperation. Israel has received almost 18 million in aid mostly military, from the US (taxpayer money), maybe more, and he is openly calling Biden's bluff so no consequences for committing war crimes. Truly horrific.
Mearsheimer is very blunt and very articulate about how the world order works, but we all know the powerful states of the west are taking the wrong path lured by Israel state-lobbies. From the very beginning as an western analyst ,He thought the ethnic cleansing by forcing people out of their land without having to kill them,will work on Gaza as all westerners would do in situation,I think he just start to realize that there are lot of analysis and explanations that don’t work for the East like it does in west. Israel knew that pushing Palestinians to move out of their country is not going to work. I think Mearsheimer himself is learning about the East more than he can imagine. I am glad that aipac can’t have a hand on him.

Whatever the global plans of people across the planet, the real truth is similar to the tragedy of the, Titanic (the life on the planet is like the sinking of, Titanic)
