I love cheetahs so much, it's so sad that their lives are harder than the other big cats. This is an incredible documentary
Such an amazing animal but their lives is hard
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE cheetahs. !!
Cheetah must save from extinct there are about 7000 - 8000 living in the wild we cant lose this beautiful creatures in the future

we can't do shit about it
I think we'll be okay if the cheetah goes extinct. Call me crazy, but I think we'll make it 😂
Best mom from the beginning to the end, give it all to her children till her last breath
A very sad, but very well done Documentary. Being a conservationist for fifty years, it is hard to see the lives of such beautiful beings. When humans get involved it is so much worse.
I didn't understand did one of cubs died or esle?
i agree humans are the most cruel on our planet, towards each other and all animals.
WE can help them though
@@user-ek8bj8br6q yes lion killed one
Totally agree with you . These animals have been lived millions of years until human come make it disaster. Asian cheetahs are all killed and only a few left . Basically extinct.
I love cheetahs they are hard working animals other animals like hyenas steals their prey especially female cheetahs with cubs they hunt again just to feed their family and keep them alive these are beautiful cats they are blessed and they are my favourite animals .
Cheetahs are very graceful and intelligent cats and cheetah cubs are the cutest ones. They are priceless and more precious than diamonds. Hope human give mercy to stop poaching and give habitats to let these animals live 🐆💕🐾💓
Lion cubs more cute
What are these childish hearth emoijs with your comment?😂🤦♂️ In my opinion tiger and lion cubs are cuter, but cheetah is still intresting animal for its speed.
I always said cheetah cubs are the cutest cubs of all wildcats too! 😊 they are too frickin cute! 🥰
@@Jout8-re1ij childish heart emojis? U used emojis too so u aren't any better than they are. As far as which cubs are cuter, everyone has their own opinion. Grow up.
That's why I hate those HYENAS, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THESE CHEATHAS
Even hyenas hate hyenas.
@@nonenoneonenonenone Lmao didn't you just give a lecture to another commenter on how we should stop assigning human emotions/attributes to animals? How are you going to nonchalantly state that hyenas "hate" other hyenas when animals are not known to perceive the notion of hate?
@@sarah_xsms This guy thinks he's smart but hell no he's not and Animals have more emotions than humans and humans are capable to express its emotions but they can't and it's a stupid reason for perceiving humans are the most emotional no they're not Animals have much more empathy than humans
Don't forget monkeys. They spend a lot of time warning prey to escape the cats.
Even me lion lover, cheatah cubs are the cutest ones.
Gorilla babies are cute too
What a cruel world it is! Great documentary!!! I could not hold my tears...
There is nothing better or that can compare to the love a mother has for their children.
indeed!!

I can watch these episodes
Hundreds of times I still love it The cheetah is the most beautiful big cat of all time. Beside I love all cats.
It is sad to see the cute little ones end up dead,
I hope less of them survive and grow up to be
Full grown Cheetahs.
It was sad to see the mother cheetah losing one of her Cubs, I hope the rest of them grow up to be adults cheetah.
Cheetahs mom with a litter have a hard time to feed them, hide them and get some food for herself to feed the cubs! A hard life!❤😢😮
This is by far the BEST Cheetah Documentary I ever watched on UA-cam. The Photography, Scenery, Story, Music, especially the NARATION excellently done. Congratulation PBS America. You deserve an Oscar.
Agreed
Not Oscar worthy but very impressive!
i remember being at garamba national park in Congo watching a cheetah chasing an antelope, Cheetah's speed was mind blowing, i couldnt think something can run faster like that. it was like a bullet in real life
Motherhood is priceless,,, true display of a complete mother 😍 incredible and amazing ❤️
a wonderful film looking into the lives of Beautiful Cheetahs, the wild can be cruel but humans are the most cruel animal on Planet Earth.
The baby cheetah are so cute,,,,I cry myself when I see one of them got injury and left alone,I feel so sad by the end of the video I cry some more when the mother died😭😭😭
Opp spoiler-
Amazing creation of Allah ❤ cheetah😊😮❤
I LOVE CHEETAH DOCUMENTARIES!
An outstanding story told through outstanding photography with equally outstanding narration. Although sadness at a mother’s loss of life and the uncertainty of her offspring, it was well told comparing one Cheetah family with another. Despite the loss of life, I was still surprised to see so many cubs survive and the cheetah that brought five cubs to adolescence was astonishing given the many dangers for such a small cat. I enjoyed this episode very much from beginning to the very end. There are a lot of bad things for them out there and their instinct to stay out of the way and live on the edge must be nerve wracking. To bring up your offspring to adolescence only to come into estrous again can't be much fun for a mother. What a terrible way to live. Thank you, PBS, for this often sad but overall successful story, I found most watchable and enjoyable.
If you like this documentary I would definitely recommend watching pumas at the end of the world
@@Amarah4600 Thank you
I have been to this area several times and I can tell Serengeti and it's neighboring areas has always been home to these wild animals since the beginning of time. Very unique indeed.
Cheetahs is One of my favorite of the big cats of all time absolutely the most beautiful big cats of all cats I enjoy watching them and learning about them.
I love wild cats, they are absolutely gorgeous. But cheetah cubs are probably the most adorable of all wild cat cubs i have ever seen.

Podría ver estos documentales de naturaleza todo el día. ¡Hay tanto que aprender y apreciar!
Hear breaking ..but life goes on...it’s very rich and informative documentary.Thank you..
We cannot let those majestic animals disappear! A world without CHEETAHS is not going to be the same! We have to protect their habitats!
A very sad 😞 ending but an amazing documentary. Is sad how vulnerable the life of the cheetah is. I hope their population keeps growing. Thank you to pbs do this great video. The view of the nature there is awesome. 💚👍
Beautiful documentary 🐅🐆
I wouldn't want to be a CHEETAH ..
You'd have Prides of lions after you and your cubs
You'd have Packs of wild dogs or Clans of hyenas always near, to Steal your hard work
You'd have large committees of Vultures to take your food
A bask of Crocodiles waiting for a Cheetah to drink at the water front
Solo Leopards will fight and steal their food.
Cheetahs have to stick to an open hunting ground....away from obstacles that can trip them up , while in full speed.
Dealing and competing against other Cheetahs, encroaching on their hunting grounds.
Being Poached by humans...for their coats.
Dealing with the lack of food , during Dry season in hunting grounds.
Having many days of hunger, due to the large herds of Buffalo protecting their younge or getting injured in a hunt.
Living on small rabbits , and other small game, is the staple food source.
No wonder, their population numbers are on the DEcline.
Big Respect to the CHEETAH survival skills. 😎👍💯🌟🌟🌟🌟
Cheetahs my favorite cat 💥💯👍
Well done and interesting documentary. These cats are just beautiful. Love the close up shot at the end.
I rewatched that scene several times. It looked like her eyes had seen a lot and were full of immense knowledge and stories.
Absolutely amazing watching mother cheetah
Hunting for cubs and her little Cubs are so behavior waiting patiently
They are the most beautiful big cats in wildl.
Wonderful video showing that Cheetah is truely the most gentil big cat .
Seeing her dead like that brought me to tears 😔
Cheetahs are so beautiful it’s almost unfair when they don’t make it. Nature is so beyond our understanding
I hate to see poor cub in that tragic end. It is so terribly sad😢 it is really unfair, I agree.
@@DavidSmith-ki2weHello Bro, My English is not well did mother Cheetah dead? or cub?

I enjoy stories like these . Keep up the amazing work.
Thank you. I love cheetahs and this is a great video.
I can't stand those hyenas always taking cheetah prey but thank God her family was ok great documentary
Cheetahs are the weakest in things like this
They are a very beautiful cat of the wild and learning from the videos of how they live and have a family in the wild.
Amazing video, amazing low long these photographers have to wait and to get this fantastic shots and sequence of animal life ! Those Cheetahs are amazing . Cubs are gorgeous.
Love seeing the cheetahs but it's to bad that the mother lost her life and her kittens were small that they will not survive without her.
So eine wunderschöne Gepardin tot da liegen zu sehen bricht mir das ❤️ Tränen verstehe nicht von den Leuten die den Film gemacht haben nicht zu zeigen was aus den jungen geworden ist
Cheetahs are my favorite cat. My heart breaking for these mother & children cheetahs. They are super fast but not strong cats like lions.
i enjoyed this documentary., very beautifully captured and narrated. great work!
Excellent music score. Altogether great production. Thank you for making it available to us.
A fantastic masterpiece to understand reality of Human life till the end through the wildlife (cheetahs) . last few minutes very heart touching.
Please watch the whole till last minute.
Love it when the narrator says zebra instead of zeebra. I’m surprised he doesn’t call the cheetah a chetah 😂
Well in the UK we have what is produced as ZEDbra crossing and as the narrator is English he is calling Zebra as ZEDbra which is the correct pronouncing. After us English invented English and the Americans wrecked it.
Perfect documentary!
"whether she can recognise if this is one of her own is not known." Do not underestimate big cats' intelligence!! Of course she knew! Just look at her body language! Haven't we seen/know enough to be convinced that those big cats are intelligent, empathetic beings?? Humans, as one kind of animal, always underestimate other animals, seeing them as lesser than. This erroneous assumption causes too much misery for other animals!!
That poor cheetah mum... 💔 What happened to her cubs...? 💔
They are not intelligent, empathetic beings. Jeez. I am so sick of this excessive anthropomorphism. They are totally different. They sense, they have instinct, and that's all. They have just enough skill and knowledge to do what they do and that's it.
@@nonenoneonenonenone wrong..
@@nonenoneonenonenone I understand that animals are subject to anthropomorphism on the daily but concluding that they are not intelligent, empathetic beings is also rather naive. This is because according to science we still do not KNOW whether they are indeed capable of more than we can visibly give them credit for. Sure, these are adjectives to describe humans, but how can we for sure know what goes on in the mind of cheetahs? How can we know whether or not they feel "emotion" in a way that we may perceive the word? We don't. So when someone believes that the cheetah recognized the other cheetah and you think that they didn't, you are both basing it on your perception of the animal's capabilities. No one is right or wrong, we are all just curious beings who are searching for an answer.
@@nonenoneonenonenone actually you are wrong, they are empathetic creatures. You can see it in this documentary as the mothers care for their young and the mother who lost her baby was clearly upset about it. Even the sibling was empathetic over the loss. Just because they can’t stick around and mourn like humans do doesn’t mean they don’t have the capability of empathy.
@@jennhale3171 Yeah. I saw a documentary once where a nomadic lioness carried a dead cub(one of her own cubs for clarification) in her mouth for 5 days. If that isn't big cat empathy, I don't know what is.
Amazing animals, truly the glass cannon build of the animal kingdom.
Her off spring were old/big enough to help her take down that male gazelle but they just didn't know how, it not only cost them there mother's life but as well as their only successful hunter.
They can help successfully when they reach the age of 2-3 yrs old
Sad to say I’ll never see one in person so these videos I’m very grateful for😇
This video is amazing, the animal research is very good, I really enjoy watching wild animals. Can you make more videos?
Thanks for the video. Hope human don’t bother cheetahs for whatever reasons and let them live their way .
They have been living there without disturbance so stop looking for unnecessary issyes
@@dcc-randomstorieswithmel7424 cheetah is endangered as species. Habitats loss and poaching are the main reason caused by human .
@@jennymalkus4517 again, stop looking for unnecessary drama
She is right though ! Poaching and loss of habitat dwindled their numbers !! And the Asiatic cheetahs are almost extinct !!!
I hate it when the vultures steel a well earned kill of a dedicated Chettah mother. It must be so disheartening for them.
Init I hate that as well and it’s spelt cheetah not chettah
Hyenas are worse
Well eagles even have babies too
Its nature and survival of the fittest at its best ❤
素晴らしい映像❣️ありがとうございます😊❣️
The social structure of Cheetah prides is fascinating and elaborate. Virtually everything they do is geared towards future success and continuity of the species. The very fact the males only rule for 2-3 years before they move on or are killed is geared towards varying the gene pool. Incredible
Funny you say that. Cheetahs are one of the most inbred mammals in the world.
@@morebluntmorecunt1725 I wonder why that is though?? Maybe some of them should be taken to a wildlife reserve to help bring the population up. I mean isn't that the purpose of reserves? If they are endangered everything possible should be done to save their species.
Love cheetahs but their lives are harsh. Love to see them get to eat instead of their kills always getting taken.
thank you for the beaterful movie
Super beautiful
I told myself that it is necessary to live authentically. No matter how other people see me, even if the whole world is negative, I still have myself to believe in.
I think you're on the wrong video
One thing people fail to realize despite Cheetah's are fast they are very smart 😉

stunning to see her in hunt mode
I wonder what will happen to the 3 cubs after their mother passed away. They are still very young and small guess is hard to survive.
ending made me emotional
Beautiful movie!
Hello there is very good documentary
Well done!
It's kind of sad that these animals have to work so hard just to keep their young alive let alone feed them. It isn't just a problem for cheetahs! All wildcats and every other wild animal has the same problem. Cats, bears, elephants, antelope, hyena, etc. etc. It's a part of life in the wild. I always wondered what they think or feel when they lose one of their young, and it isn't a one time thing either! They have babies multiple times in life and more than likely lose at least one baby each time. The mama with 5 cubs is amazing! She did a wonderful job.
My favourite big cat.
Think how fast 70 mph is for a second.
Well, after sitting here crying like a baby early on and at the end, I wonder what happened to the Plainfields cubs. I hope all the them are fine along with the 5 cubs from the mom at the end. So said the one mom died just trying to feed her family.
This documentary is pretty nice
The animal world is amazing and so much fun
Lol when the one lion smacks the other in the face with his tail: 33:43

So epic
@bernieshort6311- I couldn't agree more with what you posted. I have often wondered how fast one of those young cheetahs can run? Obviously not as fast as their mother, but can they run faster than some of the smaller animals that live on the Serengeti? Thanks for your great post!!
excellent
You hear lions roar and then you hear "ahnn ahnnn"
Its hilarious in a way
they sound like birds chirping!
