Thank you for your great teaching shading technique. I apprecriate your technique and taking the time with temperature settings!
Thank you for this video, really appreciated! I've been burning for a while, but my shading definitely needed more practice, so watching you is so useful 😁
So happy to hear that
I have watched a lot of tutorials. I thought this was one of the best. It was very detailed and down to earth. Also really liked the quality of the video in showing completed work up close. Thank you and great job.
Just saw your comment, thank you so much!
Dang how am I just finding this video! Awesome knowledge thanks for sharing!
My pleasure! Thanks for watching :)
I'm new to wood burning (normally sketch and watercolour) and wanted to tell you how much I'm enjoying your videos. Very helpful for a newbie like myself.
Happy to oblige!
Glass of wine while you burn? Is that what I see in the reflection, haha? Anyway, thanks for the vid. Very helpful for me as I;m wanting to get into more shading. Cheers!
Great job on all your videos I noticed you had your pen wrapped what did you use to wrap your pen that’s a good idea
is there a way to oil a full charcoaled wooden piece and seal it and prevent getting black charcoal hands when handling it ? thanks
OMG- your work is beautiful!!! I have so much to learn.
Thank you so much!
I just bought a live edge board to do a wood burning but the edge is very brittle. What should I do before I start burning ?
Just make sure you sand the area you'll be working on with a fine grit!
hi there, if you were the charcoal a thin coat on the whole piece of wood. how do you stop the charcoal and carbon dust flaking away when handling the piece after? thanks
Loved the video!! Great info! I was wondering where you got the adapter and what it is called!! Thanks!😀🤗
I forget which website but If you search on google razortip to colwood adapter you should be able to find it!
What temperature are you burning at?
what are you using that strainer for? and how do you clean your tips?
To clean the tips 😂 haha I have a whole video on different methods to clean the tips :) and the dremel tip I was using was just a small round one
I always start with shading straight line and end up circling 😁😁😁
Got a question for all 'Pyromaniacs' (of which I am one): Does anyone burn indoors with no external venting? If so, what do you do to keep your house from smelling like a campfire? Of course, there are those who want just that, but not me. I am thinking about getting a Winix 5500-2. It seems to have good reviews. Thoughts and suggestions?
I usually just have a fan going and a window open if I can! What is that? An air purifier?
Thank you helped a lot!
Anybody. Learning pyrography and bought a cheap set off Amazon. It came with many wire tips including what I believe are flat, shading tips. The problem I have is that all these "shading tips" are flat to the handle and none have a 45 degree bend so that they can be held evenly above the wood for shading. There is no way to evenly apply the tip to the wood because the handle gets in the way. Do you bend your tips yourself? Do you buy them with a bend? I don't see any replacement tips on Amazon that have a bend in them.
I’d invest in a burner that has separate pens! Either razor tip or colwood burners

You are appreciated! Thank You!
My pleasure! Thanks so much 😊
Love it thanks
This was great, sheesh
So happy you enjoyed :)
Hey Broke Girl your work is fantastic. I’ve been using a brand called Walnut Holland and I can’t seem to get a smooth work flow. Is your rig way hotter than what I’m using? Maybe I should invest.
I use this machine! Have had it for years and never an issue 😁 Thanks for watching! amzn.to/3bk4hJl
Can you show how you clean these wood burner tips?? please :)
Sorry just saw this but I’m planning on making a video about that soon!
Made a video on how to clean!
Could you suggest me a wood burning kit for portrait works....I don't know which should I buy....by your lovable fan from india
I hear great things about razortip and check out colwood burners! Www.woodburning.com
Really enjoying your pyrography videos. Hope you do more. I'm just starting out myself and I use the Optima 1 burner. carvertools.com/

what are the wraps that you have on the pens?
I wrapped with paper towels and then sensi wrap!
Will those tools work well on cow skulls?
I haven’t tried! Let me know how it works for ya!
Great Channel
Why do you wrap your tools, for comfort?
Helps with hand cramps and helps if your burning at a high temp!
You're videos are great thank you! can't wait for my pyrography kit to arrive. where do you get your wood?
Usually hobby lobby! You can get it at michaels too. The brand is walnut hollow!
BTW you sound fine.
Those dots are making me uncomfortable, but great tips!
That’s because you probably have trypophobia. It’s a fear of holes, irregular patterns and such. I too have it. If usually look it up and get grossed out, you’ve got it.
@@terrymurtha2451 but the odd thing is when I'm making those dot. I don't feel it, but seeing dots not made by me. Nopeeeeee. Hahahaha
Great videos but you really need to upgrade your sound recording. Your voice is hardly being picked up by the mic you use at times. Maybe just the position.
The sound was fine on my end.
