Your projects are beautiful. I just bought my first wood burning tool. I had to order carbon paper which arrived tomorrow. I can’t wait to get started. Thank you for posting your videos.
Great shading instruction! I like the shape of the tip you are using in this video. Do you know of a comparable tip or pen that is compatible with Razertip or Optima1?
I have truart like the one you are using, but man, it is so different for me. I can not do a simple line without setting things on fire. Believe it or not, I just got a fire extinguisher just in case. I lower the knob I get nothing and I go up a bit I get flames, what’s up with that ? Loll. Is it me or is it the device? did you have that experience when you started learning ?
Hey Hooman, it sounds like something going wrong with the wiring in your machine. Mine never gets that hot. I would contact customer service and get their advice. They may be able to send you a new one or a new wand cord.
I do freehand occasionally, but I always use a template for these tutorials. I want people to be able to practice the burn and follow along with an image. That's a good idea for a new video though!
I'm pretty sure I'm gonna pencil it free hand on the wood, then burn it that way. That would most likely be easier for me. Hey, maybe I'll start posting UA-cam videos. Pencil and paper sketching is literally my favorite thing, but I free hand everything.
I used to do pencil sketches freehand too, but I just got bored with it. Being able to draw really helped me learn how to wood burn faster. You should post them, it’s fun.
I don’t really have a favorite; there’s pros and cons to all of them. That’s why I bounce between them so much. There’s features I like and dislike about all of them.
@@Pyrocrafters Have you done a comparison video at all? We are wanting to buy one as a gift for our daughter but are clueless!! We want a really good one but it doesn’t have to be top of the range… just one that will do the job and last!! What do you think?!
I do have a comparison video on the wire tip burners here on my channel. Truart Dual Pen is going to give you the most bang for your buck. You’ll get a lot of accessories in one kit. I still use mine a lot and I’ve had it for about three years. The Razertip SK is a great high quality option and it’s the least expensive model that Razertip offers. You’ll be able to get a basic kit in the low 200s, but you can build on it overtime. They are known for high quality tools and great customer service, but they are also the most expensive on the market.

Your explanations of techniques have a real Bob Ross sound to them, lol. Amazing work!
Wow, thanks! Such an awesome compliment!
You are so good! I enjoy your company while I burn. You're my favorite to watch.
Wow, thank you!

Awesome
Thank!!
Have you ever just free handed anything? Or is it easier with a template and carbon?

Which is your favourite machine?
