Nice report Chris... I sort of waxed nostalgic watching this vlog segment. During my previous multiple visit to the Isands, I few on at least four of their then inter-island airlines on various type of aircraft. Aloha Airlines had the B737-200's and 300's. Hawaiian the DC-9's (MD-80 series); one airline flew the turbo-prop YS-11; also there was a flight on a Twin Otter to the island of Molokai, from Maui. When you return to the Big Island, travel to South Point (sort of disquieting feel; remnants of an old tracking station; sounds of a wind farm); block out a day or two to visit Kilauea Volcano Nat'l Park. Hilo on the east side of the island is worth a day or two. Aloha....
Hawaiian Airlines has always been on my airline to-do list, specifically for the extremely vibrant/colorful logo and cabin experience. This just makes me want to book myself a flight to Hawaii now!
When I was on a short flight from Chattanooga to Atlanta on Delta Airlines six months ago, my seat was also on the right side by the engine on a Boeing 717-200 as well. The flight time was just a bit longer but still less than a half hour. It was on a very perfect morning and what was nice was that we got to take off towards the south which is the direction where Atlanta is. I’m planning on taking a bus there next weekend to spend the day. That would take two hours to get there from where I am.
Glad you liked island hopping, looks like fun. If you're ever down my way in the Caribbean I'd love to see you check out our most prominent carrier, Caribbean Airlines. Always fun to see the thoughts of folks outside the region on it.
We flew to the Big Island yrs ago. We loved it!!! Many of the people that were on that trip got to the airport and caught the Hawaiian airline shuttle early so that they could go to Pearl Harbor before their flight back to the mainland U.S. Wish we had thought of that!!!
My family are from Kansas, and we always fly to JFK to cath hawaiian to HNL. They love hawaiian love the service and the FA are so Kimd... love your videos man.
Why are all of your videos so delayed? It’s august of 2023 and you are posting from January of 2022. I know editing is hard and I can’t do it, also you are probably busy… buy over 18 months?
He had a video some time back explaining that he had a lot of content shot but wouldn't be posting much for a while. He moved across country and was deeply busy in school working on a masters degree. So he alerted everyone that blogs would be scarce for a while and when he got time he would start posting again.
I loved my trip to Maui.. I am jealous of your flight on Hawaiian Airlines. I truly wanted to fly on it. I'm really enjoying your Hawaii post!

Aloha....
I am so glad that you got to fly on Hawaiian Airlines and take another flight mid-trip. That must have been an honor for you.
One of my favorite aircraft, and style. Md80 was my fav and now 717 is the only i can fly now
Best flight on Hawaiian Airlines.

The 717 the last MD aircraft with a Boeing label. My favorite plane for short domestic trips.
I've been using SWA for interisland. Not as many flights as HA, but bigger planes. Lower fares and free bags.
I am glad you enjoyed this short flight! It's always exciting to go on a new airline! I'm looking forward to tomorrow's video!

You need to do more full flights vids!😊
Those seats are the same as Spirit airlines seats
I love Hawaiian 🌺 airs a321 neo where every seat gets a meal and a Mai tai from the west coast. Mahalo! Aloha brings change!

You intentionally booked 24F for an engine view!!!
Hawaiian Airlines does Hawaii the best, of course.
Trams and sky trains common norm for rental car centers off airport property instead of shuttles
That is so cool! Hawaiian Airlines is great!
I love the big island, and Kona airport!
