Been watching this dude since that first beatdown of many beatdowns. Why? Because once I was a prisoner in this flesh. Then one day this dude came with light. I followed it and now I am free. Almost a decade now, and it's so much better than I thought it would be. Cheers, m8. Looking good a decade down the line. Thanks.

If you’ve been watching since this began, then you’ve known motion sickness while sitting still looking at your phone. K-Star’s early videos were a rollercoaster on the prowl.

Fantastic video Kelly I work in the home health setting and I feel like the aging population I see might even be able to work on this simple stretch lying down in bed! Great video

When you begin to see the body is full of tensions between the agonist and antagonistic muscles, along with other clearly explicable and comprehensible mechanical structures, which Mr Starrett has innovatively begun to treat with bands and other means, then it can be seen that clear mechanics exist, along with exact techniques to address and assist the improvement of these mechanics, and this has the implication that people can be positively helped, rather than just sitting on the sofa loading themselves with painkillers, having reneged on a good quality of life that otherwise beckons them. Do we not all of us then have a moral responsibility to understand these new therapeutic approaches, and then to find a way to pass them onto the masses who have become increasingly mechanically inept, the increase of these problems correlating very proportionately with the explosion in recent decades of the use of opioids, and other painkillers. Pain usually tells us we need to do something different, and thank you Mr Starrett for your videos, and your book, which do just that!

A lack of knowledge wrecked your body. The military was just an instrument.
Thankfully that is true. Because now your knowledge is increasing and so you will experience greater body ability.

The thing I struggle with is knowing when and how frequent to put this into action. I have tight everything, I don't know where to start, what to prioritise, how much of what to do.

I know what you mean, it's the problem with any collection of lifehacks, they all work, but where to start?
Answer: Work your hips every damn day. Open hips mean you can reach everything else. Don't forget your other hips, you know, the ones you call 'shoulders.' I agree on reading his books, although if you are tight all over, you probably have a gig where you sit a lot, I'd go with "Deskbound."

If only i knew this after my spinal surgery. My legs were doing that for the first year or 2 after. Shit was demoralizing and i didn't know why it was happening. No doctor/physiotherapist explained it at the time nor offered an answer in regards to if it's permanent or not, which it luckily wasn't.
Well that's it for my trip down memory lane lol, not sure why i even went on this rant :P

Hi, have you written anything definitive on treating and healing plantar fasciitis? I'm going into my 7th month of pain and limited activity. I never had any trouble until a chiropractor said I should be using shoe inserts. I bought Super Feet from him and 4 months later I felt the first micro tear in my right heel. a month later the left foot started in the heel then to the arch. I eventually had to pull out the inserts as the left one really felt painful in the arch. I can't find a shoe that is comfortable other than a cheap pair of Target tennis shoes with silicone heel sets added. I also can wear my Ecco sandals for most of a day . I do ice, sometime I soak my feet in warm Epsom salt , I stretch my calves in several different ways but still not healing. I need a regimen to follow that isn't making things not heal so I can get back to hiking and pickleball. Can you help me? I'm 77

I want to know, among those who have had careers in physical labor, among those who have regularly put their bodies under load, whose hamstring aren’t stiff? I laughed out loud when I read this title. As always, excellent content from the leopard and his jungle.

So if you can't lock out your leg in this position, these are not going to be effective? Or will just trying to do so slowly improve your mobility?

Just watched the video and gave it a try. I get my thigh into position, apply the bands to the foot like you've shown, and when I try to pull the calf straight I can feel the tension right by the knee in both the thigh and calf muscles. That's with the thigh pulled past 90 degrees towards my chest (any amount past 90 degrees). Move it back to 90 and I can get the leg straight. Pull it to 90.0001 and I can feel both the quads and calf muscles tense right up pulling the foot back towards me. Is there some kind of ramp up exercise to slowly work towards doing this?
