I saw another video, who rec'd a slightly soft ball. you need it shift with your body. Basketball maybe too hard, and too larger for smaller people...great concept-jsut sharing, in case someone needs to hear a softer exercise ball is ideal, as well.
Harry Pollard That’s your abdominal aorta pulsating. I don’t love the idea of gut smashing so much. However the breathing tips are great for de-stressing. There are many nerve plexuses within the abdomen (not just the vagal branches). Although I don’t think “gut smashing” is inherently dangerous, I don’t see it’s efficacy when self-administered. If you are a highly trained and experienced manual therapist of some kind you may be able to provide physiological benefits with the use manual manipulation, however I wouldn’t recommend people start smashing their abdomen to provide “vagal” feedback when there’s a lot more going on in the abdomen to be considered. Stick to the breathing.
@@fitznesstraining2245 why the hell would we listen to you over Kelly? You are in way over your head. Have you ever gut smashed consistently? It does a lot more then what you give it credit for. Your comment wants to sound intelligent but actually just comes off biased and weird.
Would vacuums would create a similar effect? I do vacuums everyday and I've noticed it stops my stomach from feeling hungry, when I feel that anxious hungry stomach inside
Thanks K-Star! As I was watching, I thought about combining a gut smash with a keg mob to get the t-spine/the heart chakra opened up as well. Makes sense to me that the combination would really create an awesome sense of chill. Definitely gonna teach this to my students. Thank you!

@Chelle he is referring to the beginning of the video when Kelly talks about breath being the king of the brain and mentions changing your brain through breathing. Wim Hof seems pretty applicable there... and he has an app.
Crazy how I I came across this video. Never knew why I couldn’t hold my breath anymore. Didn’t know it was a stress/ Co2 issue. Cool video
Been doing this since 8 yrs ago when Kelly and Jill paired up for the OG gut smash wod and it’s saved my life! 🙏👍🏼
Can you elaborate about how it saved your life? I'm on day 1...need a little motivatation.

I never knew you could smash your gut. I can’t wait to try this!! Thank you

is it OK to feel your heartbeat as you breathe out and relax over the ball? Love your work Kelly

God's work. THank you so much
Turn off the news. That should help.
Doesn't work. Tried it for a few years. The news keeps seeping into your life no matter what you do.
So helpful to get methods.

Can this be done before or after workout
Hey doc starrett, is it okay to use a vibrating foam roller on the stomach?
So it's okay to do it on the solar plexus?
Brilliant stuff! For the life of me I can't catch that third app he mentions. Anyone catch it?
Mindspace
Are we supposed to be moving around while breathing (like in circles or back and forth)?
Can anyone share which apnea app Kelly is referring to? There are a ton of options in the iOS store.
Hey Kelly,
Why do you apply pressure, what is the purpose of doing that?
🙌🏼
Can I smash my gut when I'm pregnant? Love your work!
Hi there I’m not expert but I would say that’s not a good idea for you or the baby
No.
Yes, but make sure to smash the baby's gut
What a weird question.
@@Blumelisaful say a bit more, what on your mind?
I can look at you for hours. You are so nice.
I tried it and it is painfull on level of belly button and lower. Sharp pain. Should I just gradually work it through?
Thank you for your advices!)

You should work through it. It gets better and releases. Take it slow. I hope you didn’t listen to this fitnesz clown over the Dr supple leopard.
I did this today, and whoa. The world slowed down sooooo faaaassstttttt. Zzzzzzzzzz
perfect

Kurt Gowan That’s not a unique thought. People have been saying that for at least decades.
