I am an amateur skydiver. Thanks for mentioning at the end that the experience was not as thrilling as you expected because of the observation deck below that edge. I will pass on the climb but will visit observation deck someday soon!

Hi, love your channel. Your super informative!!! Answered most of my questions more so than any other vids I saw. With that said can you confirm it takes about 45m from the time you enter the elevator to go up and start the process to the time your actually on the climb itself? I ask cause i booked 3:45-4:00 slot hoping that I get a sunset but still see everything with daylight. I wanted it to maybe start getting dark as we exited the climb and are on the lower walking platform (the edge). I booked in mid Jan and shows sunset would be at 4:50. Thank you again for your vids. Loved all your info on the helicopter ride, it was super helpful. Ben from Miami
Hi Ben- I was just in Miami yesterday! Thanks for the positive feedback! That plan sounds fine but I think you could do a slightly earlier time slot to make sure you see the sunset while you climb. It took a really long time to get ready and if you end up climbing in the dark that would be disappointing.

@@fixtravels1744 hmm 1:45 is way earlier and you definitely won’t be up there when the sun sets. I didn’t realize that was the next available time. Maybe call the folks at the edge and ask for their opinion!
@@ExploringwithCourtney I did call earlier today and they told at 3:45 it my start getting dark by the time we get up there and the next earlier time was 1:45. I’m assuming it would be better than too dark. I guess I’ll have a nice and bright view as I’m on the climb and the sun should be setting or just about to set as I’m on the platform.

Don’t be too bummed because there’s so many other fun things to do! Since it sounds like you enjoy good views, I’d recommend doing one of the other observation decks, like the Empire State Building or the One World Trade Center one. I was going to do it in June but if it takes 45 minutes just to get ready and then you only get 20 minutes on the Edge it's not worth it to me.
