Hey how much does it cost for someone to clean my valve body and replace solenoids????
Depens in there labor rate but remoave and rebuild a valve body usually calls for 6-8 hours. Would be about 800 to 1000

We just rebuild one and put it in and we are having problems we have took it back out and checked it can’t find anything wrong with it or the converter but one minute it’ll work fine the next time you go to drive it it throws engine codes and starts acting crazy I’ve seen a bunch of stuff saying the ecu/Tcm goes bad on these you think that’s what it could be and btw I’m not a girl just the account I use lol 😂
Check if a pin it's not losing connection , chef the transmission connector terminal and the ecu Terminal, and if there's not a broken wirring between the ecu and the transmission.
Sounds like you have an electrical problem. I would see what codes its setting and test the components related to those codes. It's the component checks out, I would ohm out the circuit going to it from the PCM or TCM. If that checks out and the problem continues I would get the PCM or TCM checked out.

Have this exact issue on a 2008 rav4 im doing. Went to transtar and the reverse hub they have doesn't show the dog ears that appear on the oem reverse hub. Where did you get yours or what did you end up doing?

The grunting makes this job all too real 😅 also the disgust on the old guys face omg i HATE TRANSMISSIONS. Absolutely hands down my modt hated job ever. So many intricately places parts and gears omg its terrible. We need to evolve. This is ridiculous. I have a 2008 toyta rav4 i currently have everything off besides the hub and cv axels tryjng to get this hub bearing off is seriously a JOB IDK if im judt not strong enough or etf but ive been seriousky giving ir my all i even took a jack and tried to jack up the breaker bad and it wont burdge at all. I might have to try to cut the mfer off. 🤔 anyway. It stopped moving one day its the passenger side front im woring on it will not spin at all. AT ALL. IM PREYING the hub is judt busted or the cv axel is just done. It doesnt seem like anything is wrong eith the cv axel tho. No grease coming out. The boot isnt messed up. Idk man. What do you think? The transmission drops into every gear with no hesitation at all.the engine is FINE. Idk what to think at this point. All the other tires move but this one will not. I hope you reply before i jump back into this shit tomorrow. 😒😔
I can disassemble virtually anything. How about assembling it back so that there are no "unused" parts left?

Very interested video, I have a 2017Rav4 whenever i put it in reverse or drive the transmission make gritting noise and not moving only in neutral it move , Can you say what might gone wrong and the cost.
that might be a transfer case or bearing issue if its locked up

My 2008 Rav4 V6 is able to Reverse but doesn't want to drive Forward. Do I have to replace my transmission or can it be something else?
I'm not a mechanic so keep that in your mind. I have exactly the same problem with my RAV4 2008 2.4L engine.
I changed transmission fluid and that improved it so that it only takes few seconds before it shifts forward in the morning.
I'm still waiting on new transmission fluid filter and gasket kit. Hopefully after their replacement and also cleaning magnets that're supposed to collect metallic particles it will be back to normal.
I never thought the friction Plates would be as small as those on a dirt bike.

Have a loud ticking/whirring sound and just last night it stopped shifting like its in neutral. Is that the fluid pump abd is it possible to just replace that?

Have a 2008 RAV4 V6 3.5L and the problem is, when you start the car in the morning and you shift the gear to reverse (R) the vehicle moves with without acceleration immediately but when you shift to drive the vehicle doesn’t move even if you accelerate. If the engine stays on for while and warms up , it drives okay. Any suggestions as to why this is the case? Do you also have links to any junk yard to get a new transmission from online . Why it happened?
Cooling problem in the transmission.
For preventive maintenance I do a drain and fill with Toyota WS transmission fluid every 30k miles. I did the first at 60k. Knock on wood I have not had any transmission issues. I am currently at 100k miles.
Do it sooner 30k, 40k or even 50k because once it shows wear it will continue to wear out. The stock T WS is very thin viscosity for EPA MPG.

I have another question. My 2012 rav4 all wheel drive 100k, transfer case is humming pretty loud. Should I replace it and should I replace the tranny while I’m doing that? No other problems w the car.
I would try to isolate the noise in the transfer case or the transmission. In some cases both may be required to replace but not always. I wouldnt replace anything unless I have to. I would just fix what is broken and service the transmission.
It’s the electromagnetic coupler bearing in the differential. Check RAV4world for part numbers. I had the same issue and had a mechanic fix it. If you take it to Toyota they will replace the entire electromagnetic coupler assembly, and it is not cheap.
Does this make a whine noise almost? I hear that sound when I hit about 40km per hour in my 2007 rav 4 V6. Sound like it’s coming from underneath as I get feedback from curbs. Vehicle shifts fine and gears don’t slip.
