George is fine, but he's no Lewis. Give Lewis a car and he'll win the championship. Winning a championship is a lot more than just having the best car. It's about dealing with the pressure. We saw Max crumble in 2021, walking off the podium in Jeddah, crashing into Lewis multiple times, if Max couldn't handle Lewis at his best, I doubt George can.
Do these people that say Lewis is leading even watch the races? He’s only ahead because they pitted George under SC which Lewis had a sook about then got lucky with the red flag.
It’s really sad to see modern commentators of F1 clearly taking sides about the sport. When Mercedes was winning everything because they clearly had a colossal advantage nobody never suggested to put another driver like Max to see if Lewis was really the best or he just had the best ever car of the era. Now that he’s NOT “performing” anymore they change completely. Please don’t take me wrong, I’m not saying Lewis isn’t a great driver although I believe no matter how many titles he collected he will never be as good as Niki or the all time best Senna I.M.O, as a F1 enthusiast for more than 30 years is really sad to see a full panel of people just supporting one team and one driver or in the case of the SkyF1 podcast just glorifying only the British drivers. I think Sky should really think about it to make the podcast more representative.

Every year that Ham didn't have THE BEST car he finished 5th 4th 5th 4th 4th 6th in the championship standings, how is he getting paid over 5 times more than his tm8 who is better than him?
Only thing Lewis Hamilton is good for is laughing at when he rocks up to the track in ridiculous clothes every day hahaha it is the best part of F1 since you turned it from a competitive sport to basically the next WWE.
Typical poois pamilton fan. Leclerc doesnt have the nerves? You must be watching his brother on F2. Hamilton doesnt have the nerves, constantly and consistently behind his peer. Hes a number 2 driver, and when valuing Ferrari’s no.2 Carlos against Pamilton, I’m picking Carlos over Pewis any day.

Why would Ferrari want someone who is older and wants to win a title now when they don't have a winning car. They need someone who develops with them beyond 2026. Getting Russell, Verstappen or Norris is more logical if you even wanted to switch either Leclerc or Sainz.
Sustainable fuels are great but the 2026 power units won't achieve 50% efficiency. Already well documented so Ted's throwing smokes and mirrors at you.
Naomi’s viewpoint around 38:00 or so, about “overdriving” and ted feeling like it’s not he’s overdriving but he’s being phenomenal with an inferior car, her attitude here is why she was never a successful driver, Charles is doing the absolute right thing even if he crashes sometimes, but then on the contrary, I see her logic and at the end of the day, it is important charles finishes these races, but I agree with ted and it shouldn’t be characterised as overdriving because that’s kinda a different thing but I can’t explain it. Charles ain’t overdriving, ie pushing beyond what he can control because of pressure or whatever, it’s that the car is so difficult at that level it is just a super hard car to drive and mistakes are inevitable, the mistakes aren’t coming from “overdriving” though, they ain’t coming from pressure or whatever, it’s just so difficult and unpredictable the mistakes are inevitable. Does that make sense? Ted is right here. There is a difference.
I love how now we are hearing requests from Christian to please allow Lewis to replace Sergio.... but I would love nothing more than to have seen Max at Mercedes beat Lewis. I'd love nothing more than Max and Lewis as teammates to quiet down all of the British fans and media who overestimate his skill.
Ferrari don't want Alonso. Even told him to F1 when he offered himself for free in Singapore a couple of years back. Alonso is a divisive character and can't develop a car. Fast on track, but that's it.
Look lewis is hurt, you can see toto give everything to his little pet russel everything he wants. Toto is russels manager so toto will always give russel the world and let lewis catch up.
I think Lewis could be good for Ferrari as a driver, the insight, and especially on the strategy front. He would have the experience and the er... courage... to say on the radio "No that doesn't make sense, why are we doing that?" and might be more likely to force Ferrari's hand when it comes to proper strategy. I think Lewis would either need a whole new race engineer than the ones currently at Ferrari, preferably Bono but I doubt Bono will leave to join Lewis. Xavi is great but I don't think he would mesh well with Lewis like Bono does.
They firmly tried to break Lewis' spirit in 2021. He'll recover and come back stronger. He's used to adversity abd thrives in it. Whether that's in a Ferrari, is another thing.

F1 teams tend to make this mistake of ”why would you risk the future" when it comes to drivers age bro. F1 is a win now sport. Not a sport that’s a long term.
Ferrari could give 2-3 years to Lewis Hamilton with Ollie Bearman or Robert Schwartzman as 3rd drivers (or could even replace Sainz eventually). LH could shape the team and set them up for long-term success and once he retires, Robert and Ollie can step up and take the team forward.
Lewis, at this point, does not have the character to build a car. Ferrari does not have the culture that accepts public critisisms from their drivers. It is not a driver problem at Ferrari, it is an engineering problem. Lewis would just create an additional problem. This news on the Mail probably came from a new american reporter.
Charles Leclerc really isn't that good. He used to be one of the prospects coming out of junior formula, but he's like Hulkenberg. He simply didn't turn out to be the next champion. Fast on his day, but makes too many mistakes. Of that generation, Verstappen, and maybe Norris and maybe even Ocon (took the fight to Perez as a rookie, who knows what he can do in a good car) and definitely Russell (destroyed Norris and Albon in mostly equal cars in F2) are the big talents. So thát's the reason Ferrari might want Hamilton. He's a proven top-driver and doesn't have a contract. But the question is why he should do it. I didn't hear anything about Ferrari getting their technical staff in order after Binotto left. And Vasseur is massively overrated as a teamboss. He was fine for a junior class team, but at Renault and Alfa he simply didn't impress, far from it. He could've made Sauber into Honda F1 if he had the chops to actually build an infrastructure. So the fact Ferrari hired him to rebuild and line out that team is a joke. Btw, Honda with Aston Martin? Hopefully the Silverstone based team will stop the sponsordeal with Aston Martin then right? PR wise this would be the dumbest choice ever for Honda to partner with Aston Martin. The road car company gets all the credit already, despite being just a sponsor, and when Honda worked with Red Bull despite the big logo's on the car, no one talked about Honda as part of the team while they were officially part of it. Red Bull was the team that was winning, not Red Bull - Honda. The Honda brand simply isn't strong enough to keep being mentioned next to Aston Martin.
Wait a minute... Ocon!? I'm sorry, French drivers can only win when they play political and aristocratic without alarming LA REVOLUTION and get beheaded by actual fast drivers

@@DavidCP524 in current form george is outdriving Lewis but I don't understand why these Lewis fanboys cant see that
@@chichurp No he isnt 😭😭
Kimi Raikkonen was Ferrari's greatest Post-Schumacher driver.
Alonso > Kimi
@@Lewythefly Not at driving.
Proper podcast thanks everyone 💪
As a lifelong Ferrari fan I'd love to see him in red. If he could do what Schume did and bring Ferrari back to number one he would be no doubt the best ever
No. Max will continue to show who is the best.
Did Schumacher do it all by himself?
Just getting Lewis doesn't change much.
He is not technical, nor a team leader.
He won’t turn Ferrari down
Lewis to Ferrari will be game changer
He could but would be strange as Ferrari are not much further ahead of Mercedes so he should just stick it out I have a lot more faith in them coming back to the top before Ferrari do!
They aren’t ahead
Merc is the faster race pace car
Ted such a Ham simp lol. 40 mil is a low ball for Hamilton??? George is getting paid 8 mil and he is performing on the same level if not BETTER than Ham. Why doesn't George get AT LEAST 40 mil if Ham is getting 45? Every year that Ham didn't have THE BEST car he finished 5th 4th 5th 4th 4th 6th in the championship standings, how is he getting paid over 5 times more than his tm8 who is better than him?
Only thing Lewis Hamilton is good for is laughing at when he rocks up to the track in ridiculous clothes every day hahaha it is the best part of F1 since you turned it from a competitive sport to basically the next WWE.
Didn't the British media criticize Lewis when he moved from McLaren to Mercedes? We all know what happened then.🤔🤔🤔
He should go acting in Hollywood
Just Imagine Lewis in a Ferrari suit, the first 7 time champion in a Ferrari since Michael Schumacher, would be great, but we never know.
I think he should. LeClerc doesn't have nerves and Lewis could be competitive with that car.
@@aPengboi Lewis is beating George in the championship leaderboards.
Tell George to catch up.
George is behind Lewis.
Lovely number 2 driver.
@@aPengboi Leclerc keeps constantly crashing and DNFing. He’s inconsistent and a liability. He won’t even sniff a world championship if he continues doing that.
@@CristanioPeweyyy Also, if the car isn't fast enough, tell him to work on improving it, with all the experience George has that makes him better than Hamilton. 🙄

The climate change conversation was BS
Ted Kravitz Sleeps in Lewis Hamilton pajamas
If Ferrari are offering all the best of F1 a Job, why go after Lewis? They should be going after Max than.
Why would Ferrari want someone who is older and wants to win a title now when they don't have a winning car. They need someone who develops with them beyond 2026.
Getting Russell, Verstappen or Norris is more logical if you even wanted to switch either Leclerc or Sainz.
Great content, great lineup for a podcast
I seriously hate how ‘politically correct’ F1 has to be 🙄
True it's just feel so offputting
40:00 lol funny Lewis commentary would be great. And enjoy nico rosberg within this conversation. Sky dreamin’
I’d love to see the day when Max fans eventually grow up to become critical thinking adults
@@Enzobluebloodyou mean those critical lewis fanboys here?😂😂😂
Damn Sky budgets must be taking a hit if they're staying in beaulieu sur mer where i stayed in 2016 for Monaco. Taking the train in too are we chaps?
Imagine Hamilton And Fernando in Ferrari Now.......
Ferrari don't want Alonso. Even told him to F1 when he offered himself for free in Singapore a couple of years back. Alonso is a divisive character and can't develop a car. Fast on track, but that's it.
Blood War instead of the 2016 Silver War
UA-cam is your friend. I mean, Lewis already spanked Alonso Rookie season.
Look lewis is hurt, you can see toto give everything to his little pet russel everything he wants. Toto is russels manager so toto will always give russel the world and let lewis catch up.
Ted’s CORRECT about Andrea Kimi Antonelli! He’s a future F1 Champion making his way through the junior categories. He’s a superstar calibre racer!
Totto Wolff thought the Imola upgrades would bring 0.3s improvement in race pace......
They firmly tried to break Lewis' spirit in 2021. He'll recover and come back stronger. He's used to adversity abd thrives in it. Whether that's in a Ferrari, is another thing.

I don't understand the "experts" stating that Ferrari is no better than Mercedes, why would he leave? Do they forget where McLaren was compared to mercedes when he moved in 2012/13?
I seriously think this may happen as it's just as left field as when Vettel left Redbull.

Toto doesn't need him at all, he has Georgie Boy and all of his boat shoe wonder
Ocon!? I'm sorry, French drivers can only win when they play political and aristocratic without alarming LA REVOLUTION and get beheaded by actual fast drivers
did this guy really say ocon is a big talent? xD

I still 100% respect what drive like Hamilton and Michele S has done no doubt. The rivalry between Max and Lewis fans is without a doubt the most stupid part of F1 now.
@Chris Collins that's fair, I suppose, but for the story's sake, it would be fairytale if he went to Ferrari and they finally win again.

Interesting that we are being very sensative about the flooding (and rightfully so) and how it affects the people but when we are racing in these middle eastern countries with glaring human rights issues everybody is a whole lot quiter. Just to be a little more specific I wish that we talked about the people making these anti human laws in the middle east and not the people as a whole.
Mercedes might not be offering that type of money at this point since car is not a race winner and Russell is giving similar performance on less money , and im a Hamilton fan. I would go to Ferrari, time for a change.
What am I missing? Everyone saying Charles could be the future of merc, if I was GR my jaw would be hitting the floor and I'd be on the first contract out of there after being told it would be him (and he is showing pretty damn well against Lewis)
Yes I'd agree, Charles is a blindingly fast driver but George is the better well rounded driver and that makes the difference. I think George will be the future world champion, I don't think Charles will be. But for sure anything can happen in sports.
