      Non of those drivers are worthy of winning championships though, maybe Leclerc but he makes too many mistakes. Verstappen is extremely superior to all of those and Alonso/Hamilton who are both great are still around.

      @unclecousin5782 Рік тому +3

      Making mistakes is not the mark of a champion. Schumacher has made more mistakes than any single seat driver bar His Grace Mahaveer Ragunathan, because Michael had an incredibly long career and was always on the limit. Verstappen too, his Saudi quali crash and subsequently losing P1 at the start of Abu Dhabi all but erased his championship hopes in 2021. Leclerc has the talent, but no driver wins WDC without the best car.

    i personally believe that numbers don't lie. if the cfd and the wind tunnel models are showing promising performance then it is worth pursuing the current concept. lets not forget that the merc engineers have done a very good job in bringing the porpoising issues under control at least at the last race. they now have a stable platform to develop. I personally do not believe that making a u-turn at this stage is the right thing to do. if their simulations are "really" indicating that the current concept can be as fast or faster than the redbull then it makes more sense to find a way to unleash that potential rather than starting afresh.

It's a part of the journey, now that they have accepted the reality, they will come back stronger becusse now they have all the data about things that work from the successful teams and things that don't work from their own design. That was what helped Aston jump over the midfield and so will help merc get closer to the top, but to win a championship might not be possible till the next rule changes because the competition just has that headstart now. Mercedes to redesign their car and that too with a budget cap and having lost key people will be very difficult. And Ferrari is also slipping and might take atleast this year under a new boss to regroup. I sort of see Lewis trying to get a seat at Aston Martin somehow. That's the best bet for now.

      Where was she before? She's good and another great addition to the team. My fave part is seeing the team have some banter on race weekends 😁

    I always hate how British media, expecially sky really want Mercedes, or better say Lewis to win. When Mercedes was on top it was like everything is ok, the other teams don't matter, now that Mercedes have a bad car, they only talk about Mercedes.
