Thanks for watching!
She worked with a nonprofit and even though she’s retired her major concern seems to be helping other people. What a beautiful person.
My niece rode her bike from Canada through to South America. And she lived fine and loved it. It really does depend on your perspective.
Annette Huppatz
Cool.
How long was that trip ?
Awesome!
After listening to his first words ,it reminded me of this quote.
""The richest man is not he who has the most, but he who needs the least.""
"He is happiest who is content with the least" ---- Socrates
@@maesgramp “He is rich who is content with the least; for contentment is the wealth of nature.” ~ Socrates
I was also inspired by her words and her attitude towards possessions and it reminded of another quote:
"Wealth consists not in having great possessions, but in having few wants."
torque503 ft thanks for sharing this quote.
Wow 😳 I agree 💯
Beth seems quite happy with her lifestyle. It's people like her you can deeply admire.
i agree :)
Mr. Fixit aka Vic
Definitely a inspiration
Debbie Molitor me too !!!
“ It’s everything I need, I feel it’s sometimes too much” Fantastic energy and attitude. “ this stuff is meaningless” . I like her. Articulate, intelligent . Happy and disciplined. I would love to have a coffee with her. She looks so much younger than her age,
She does look young ! She’s awesome !
She definitely seems so enthusiastic and happy .
@AllyMcBeal Leach I think she looks 50ish. She said she is 54. BTW, 54 is not old nowadays.
Indeed, she has great genes and very positive thinking. I'm glad she has found what works well for her.
Great video thanks Bob, Beth you are inspiring.
What a positive, generous lady! Thanks for sharing your talk/tour.
That biz about a relative dying and you have to go through their stuff. It's an eye opener. I've been there. It really puts things in perspective.
💜
Agree
Clearing out after losing parents made me realize that I cannot do the same to my children. I’m not done yet.

Yup. Did a yard sale in 2016 for my Dad. Love ya Dad. Miss you. It made me realize my valuables one day will become junk ... sigh.
WooHoo, way to go Beth. Proud to know this beautiful and fun womyn. Your joy and sense of humor always kept the caravan laughing. Peace, Cynthia ☮
People like Beth inspired me to take the chance. After taking care of my mother for 14 years, she passed away. I also down size. But I got a 27 foot motorhome. Now I want to go smaller. But i still need to get rid of a lot more stuff.
Love to hear more about this lady living on the road on a bicycle. Fascinating.
She is a heck of a strong person, and has done so much with her life for herself and for others.
In fact would love to learn so much more about this lady.
You are living on the road on a bicycle? I have an acquaintance who has done this for over seven years in Mongolia, Africa, and western Asia. He is finally happy.
I watched again. Beth also was on a bike. Wow, got it.
There's a lady on UA-cam, called Itchy Boots, who travels the world on her Royal Enfield Adventure style motorcycle.
She’s always been the adventurous one. She’s my cousin. I love her.
I totally relate to getting rid of the "stuff". I took care of my parents and my husband until their deaths, then I got rid of everything that didn't fit in my truck. It was such a feeling of relief to have all the "stuff" no longer hanging over my head.
Yes. I had two major yard sales, made trip after trip in donations and giveaways, packed what little that was left in my car and went cross country into the unknown.
It seems she is more happy, she is done, time to enjoy life.
Bravo! I've still got stuff in storage.
Amazing person. You don’t need very much do you. And, with what little she does have, still offers room in her refrigerator for other people’s stuff. God bless.
Amen !!✝️💙✝️
I think most people have trappings-that is to say stuff which we don't really need or use on a regular basis. There is a minimalist challenge-100 things and get rid of the rest. If you do the 100 item challenge a collection( i.e. books) count as 1 item. I firmly believe the less stuff you have helps you become free and allows you, not someone else, to own your life.
@@davidleigh443 thank you David you swing that so very well Thank you for your inspiration
This lady is awesome! Such an inspiration.
Every one needs this Ladies attitude & outlook on life!.....Aho..
She honestly seems so happy.
She’s terrific! Glad she can do her dream!
Absolutely love her. The campfires must be so fun with her in the group
"A palace to me! It almost seems like too much." God bless your heart.
She's a backpacker, right? Carrying everything you really need on your back can give you that kind of perspective.
Beth is an absolute gem!
Her zest for life and the outdoors is infectious, and she beams with contentment and happiness!
She has made herself her perfect travel cabin with everything she needs and wants, and her truck is gorgeous!
A caravan that Beth is a member of is a lucky and happy caravan!
Once again you show how the vehicle, equipment and fit out is so very individual to however one chooses to make it, and this lightweight, uncluttered and comfortable set up certainly looks like a good place to be.
As Beth said, she lives and cooks outside and sleeps inside, the perfect balance.
*Beth is so full of life and positivity - Wow!! - I would die to have this enthusiasm for life.*
...Especially when the world looks like it could end soon..maybe not, but in the USA we are definitely going to financially be done with our old ways going forward.
God Rules Me
Totally know what you mean.
Your turn of phrase made me smile.
I am planning on leaving after the lockdown opens up...building a truck right now but because I will be working on the road, I am creating a space to sit in my truck and work (I have a high snug top). She is encouraging and I have traveled for years in my truck with plastic bins & a cot...so moving to a more permanent situation I keep worrying about overthinking all of it! Needed to hear this!
Small Spaces, Big Coaching Christie what do you do for work on the road
@@maddknadd9019 I've been a health coach for 5 years...work by phone and video. Have clients and I train others who want to coach. Been a consistent income source! Love that it is heart work!
@@topcheese2889 I'm trying to keep my options open for parking in a city so don't want to add that extra burden. I am super excited about my truck build custom design by me to make use of the space so I can sit inside and work when needed
@das wright yeah it just all feels like the wild wild West right now trying to know where I might go. Going to stay put until I see more options
Get a FlipPac!
I actually like this idea. Would take some getting used to but the simplicity is appealing.
After living a couple summers in the back of my simple camper shell, this is great. I didn't have the backseat nor the backpack equipment. Totally works...full-time forever... don't know. The cold is hard for me.
Super energetic happy person-I feel like she's been very blessed to be someone who's really enjoyed her life.
Wow, Beth is a wonderful example of keeping it simple and being a minimalist. Such a beautiful person who shares abundantly with others. Delightful video.
What a fantastic woman!! Love her attitude!! I have a similar rig, only I raised my topper so that I didn't have to crawl.
Good idea!
This will be my cure for ptsd and depression.. thank you sir for all your help and information
What a wonderful woman!Helping others with things they need help with and keeping it simple.😊
I’ve noticed with every Nomad I’ve seen they have what is most important to them. Her bike and backpacking equipment says it all.
I love Beth’s positive approach and philosophy to becoming a nomad. Thank you for showing that women can live this lifestyle in a safe manner and thrive while doing it. ❤️
Loved this lady! What a cool spirit! Anybody would be a better person to have spent time connecting with her around a fireside chat! ⛺
Beth seems like she embraces life to the fullest. She has great humor and kindness!
Great video. I like that she chose a 4X4 truck. My choice for the future is a 4X4 with a slide-in camper.

@@whtfolks5517 Both of you be SURE to get a big-enough truck -- most truck campers are WAY heavier than they look, and the largest ones are INSANELY heavy -- and I'm talking EMPTY (dry), not loaded up with gear (wet). Most people OVERLOAD their trucks weight-wise. Not good...or safe. ;-)
I'd look into them also...but don't have the "serious" truck, so I'd have to buy both truck and camper. Also, they'd be a bit top-heavy for the off-road places I'd like to go, not to mention that many of the mountain passes in CO are out as top-heavy vehicles can be a problem with off-camber shelf roads, low overhangs and tight/steep switchbacks. Otherwise, they'd be great.
Happy Travels,
-- BR
Bill Redding you’re absolutely right! A one ton diesel truck would be ideal. I wouldn’t use a half ton truck to haul most slide in campers.
My 4x4 Tahoe suits me just like a truck as far as versatility plus I can get into the drivers seat without going outside if need be.
Great positive attitude. I think it is key to her success. 🇨🇦
I love learning from others even if I hadn't considered a truck -
1) consider what I could offer to others if I join a caravan (ex her larger refridg)
2) Talking Stick!! Lol brilliant
3) I'd now consider a truck, I would need a taller shell (and maybe ladder)
Thanks for the video!
A positive person, we could all take a lesson! Best wishes to her and all who roam!
Rhonda Traywick yesss
She has such a positive attitude. Great interview!
Nice 😼🙂...and, the possibilities are wide open. Many years ago, we camped this way in our Station Wagon. These days, though, things are much better.
Where does one find these type of nomads? Nice human beings who are positive?
In my expierence, they tend to find me (especially when i've been parked up for a couple of days).Take care anyway.
@AllyMcBeal Leach Does that include people in campervans (me)?
Ay Foo...well, hard to find them...because they are kind of HIDING.
On the road its a different world. There are no strangers
@@nonyabizness.original Your answer made me laugh out loud! Golden!
Nice, friendly lady. I like her set up, simple yet practical.
She is amazing. You would think she lived in a 50 room castle - great. She is living life to the fullest.
What a beautiful person! I love her spirit. And she truly has all she needs in her vehicle. I was amazed by the space she has in the back, along with a bike. Way to go, Beth. I wld love to meet you, because you seem so special. I'm glad you can be on the road at 54 yrs. Good for you. Good success and good health to you.
She’s so happy it’s heartwarming
Here is a tip for Beth , have some custom automotive shop put vents in your hood facing towards the windshield because when winter comes you want need to use your defroster because you engine will do it for you. You will save on gas or diesel Also get a hot rod magazine and look in the ads section for your carpet in the cab area, they have insulation mats that go under your carpet and it will drop the temperature from the inside about 8 to 10 degrees in the summer and keep you warmer in the winter and also use emergency blankets they keep you warm as well as newspaper like the bums on the street use. One last tip use 1gallon baggies to keep your feet and hands warm as I learned that from a Cop to help me from having my hands freeze while riding my motorcycle in 14 degree weather not including the chill factor, it was 9 degrees when I finally got home. Jeff Cagle
She has a great attitude & energy
@Mark Everson Hello Mark, that is the entire point of joining or creating a caravan. These folks become your unmarried partners. Each day you do a couple things with each of them! Some travelers even set up a caravan for each quarter, repeating annually. 🙋
@Dave A. me too i hate owning a house it's too big too much work and responsibility, I feel claustrophobic
Kevin Rowbal inspirational.
Mark Everson yes I agree and then something like the corona virus comes along and they put a stop to it all ..
She really does!!!
She's awesome!
My father passed away at 66 and my mother is still alive at 76 but she is wheelchair-bound. Those fishing trips with my dad are good memories for her.
Looks and seems awesome, she's enjoying life with travel/adventure, bless her. I envy her.
Good Morning, Brother Bob and Friends!
She has such great energy and I love how organized her truck/camper is. Very nice!
You inspire me Beth. I've been saving for a van for a while now - nearly there and l'm not so worried now about decking it all out on my own. :-) Just keep it simple! I can't wait for the nomad life - just me and my dogs :-) Thanks Beth
louise (Australia)
Beth is living the dream x
I'm taking copious notes for a 30-day boondocking trip in May 2021 in my truck w/shell - thanks Beth and Bob!
I have the exact same pick up and it’s remarkable how much you can fit in it I have my refrigerator in the back water storage in the back and I actually Haul small A-frame camper for sleeping my dogs sleep in the front great attitude Beth hope to see you on the road
I camped in a truck camper this summer, with a bike and also a little folding flat step stool to get on the tailgate. I was gifted the jackery and it was a great addition. From a fellow bike traveler, I love your spirit!
"Just do it and pick yourself up as you go" Well said Beth!
I find it amazing at how resourceful people can be.
What a genuine sweetheart! A great zest for life...
What a cool person, courage does not come easily
Great woman... positive attitude, infectious smile!
Bought myF150 with Lear cap. Can’t wait to start my adventure.
Beth is a vibrant giving soul. Enjoyed the video.
I like Beth a lot! Her energy, her ability to create the life she wants and her positive and upbeat attitude are all great motivations for the rest of us. I've known a number of people that live out of a pickup truck with a camper shell and they love it. Living the way she does has appealed to me for years however one thing I would suggest would be the ARE Walk-in camper shell, I have one on my 2001 Toyota Tundra and it makes getting in and out of the back a lot easier.
Another great video Bob, thanks!
this lady might not realize but she is helping lots of folks very simple way to live to rich lives
If she has to explain it to you, you wouldn’t understand. What a life!
You can tell from her enthusiasm, and personality, this woman is truly happy in life. Love the video.
I think she has plenty of space. I love her spirit.
Bob just has the gift to bring out the best in people.
This woman makes me smile...I like her.
Good job lady..great set up. Thank you for sharing your ideas.
They have almost the exact same flannel shirt! Looks warm and comfortable!
Beth, it's wonderful to see you loving your life and your space! Thank you for sharing your story and your warm smile with us!
you’re such a lovely lady. more of us should see life this way
I’ve been living in a 2005 gmc envoy since 2006. It’s wonderful and beautiful.
What an amazing person! Her energy is great!
Everything is mindset and perception! Much love to her!
Beth you are a breath of fresh air love your truck lay out
she lived with just a backpack! then, a bicycle! so, now she feels like she's living in a palace! :-)
When your meant to roam an have no desire to call one spot your home ,you can slide up inside a small shell an be of great cheer,Beth
I love her positive attitude. Awesome..
Thank you, Beth. A true inspiration!
Great video. Thank you for inspiration and hope... stay safe. Thank you for still putting videos out. They take my mind off the current situation and I truly appreciate that. Haven't made it full time yet. But I Will.. nothing is going to stop me from being finally Free. Thanks again Bob.
Your truck has plenty of room for you to get a little companion. A trustworthy dog is great to have on road trips and still fit into a minimalist life.
I enjoy her enthusiasm and I'm looking forward and planning to do the same thing hopefully by the end of this year I can't wait
Thanks for another great video. I cannot wait until i can aford a pickup and shell
She is such a sweet lady. Hope to see you on the road someday. 🐬🚑
Oh. I like those locking mates. We spend most the time outdoors. That's great a great simple set up. Take care be safe.
Very NICE AND NEAT🙏🏿
I love her minimalist values. I sure wish my wife had the same. LOL. I also like her thoughtful and caring nature towards others. What an interesting and beautiful soul. I certainly wish all the best in her life and travels.
One of the more interesting people and videos Ive seen of yours In some time Bob. thanks for sharing it. :- )
Such a nice person! Hope to meet her soon!!
God Bless You Beth. Stay Safe.
😯😃she is the bigest minimalist, example for future ones who are weather proof...
She sold me on this model of camper living. What a wonderful, happy, optimistic person she is!
Beth has definitely got the simple minimalist lifestyle down. Thanks for this video Bob.
What matters is it works for Beth and she is happy. Anybody who cares for their mother is a fantastic person. God Bless you and sorry for your lost. Wow I though she was 35-40 years old. I wish my 66 year old body would allow me to climb in this and bend to do everything.
A true minimalist. A truly happy person from the bones. She has the best of the few.
Would love to hear/ see a recent update on Beth’s journey. What a great person!
Love her enthusiasm !
Keeping the essential to live life to its fullest! Congrats Beth for your courage and determination. A true inspiration!
Cheers!
Beth rocks!!! Luv her set up
Damn, Beth is so correct and wise. Following your gut is so on point
I sure enjoy the positive feeling of your channel. There is room in this world for everyone to live however it is that makes them happy. Keep up the good work!
