This channel exists to document unit counters within StarCraft 2. Tya's Unit Tournament features epic battles between units in StarCraft 2, using music from the game's soundtrack. Units are chosen from Protoss, Terran and Zerg forces, or a coop commander such as Raynor, Nova, Artanis, or Kerrigan. Units will independently use their abilities, in a basic way. All units use Legacy of the Void stats, the same units you'd see in SC2 esports controlled by the likes of Serral, Maru, and ByuN. Surprised Artanis lost tbh, everything else was pretty predictable
Heroes with healing win, the rest lose. Hero unit fights are not the most exciting to me.

It's funny to me that one Alarak died almost immediately, but the second took pretty much the entire group out alone.
It shows that there is only one true alarak. True lord lives, fakes die

It's because they can't share the lifesteal
And he conveniently said the line about carrying them to victory
One Alarak drained another Alarak, taking more life than Infested Marines could hope for.
Conclusion: Alarak is Alarak's worst enemy.
I know Dehaka always wins but I still wanna see him smash his opponents

3 Jims, and 2 Rory's combined make fewer kills than any of the other groupings. Feels like those two are only included to show how strong a REAL hero unit is.
It really is crazy how bad WoL heroes are compared to HotS and later.
it makes sense though. The Terran heroes (generally) are part of the team along with their units. Alarak's units for the most part are one trick ponies (with one existing literally to keep him in the battle indefinitely). Even Abathur's army is ultimately focused on 'let the fodder die' until the ultimate evolution comes
I agree it makes sense for the WoL Terran heroes to be mediocre because they aren't supposed to be one man killing machines, but comparing any of them to Nova they're just painfully bad.
It's worse with Zeratul and the other Protoss heroes from the Protoss missions.
I'm pretty sure the Shield of Auir is the only hero in the game to be beaten by it's "standard" usable campaign unit counterpart, thanks to the LotV Mothership being busted.
@@Razr750 Shield of Auir isn’t the same. Tal’darim Motherships aren’t even the same unit really, It’s like void Ray Vs destroyer.

Everything was pretty predictable but I really expected Artanis to pull through.
Astral Winds kept triggering when shields were 50% down but they restore both shields and HP, which meant they were being wasted
@@SaulGoodman3D2049 and the resurrection blasts were too close together, if second was one second later it would have been better
@@jacobgracey9069 Didn't even think of that but yeah since it's an AOE heal they could have made it more efficient by using it one at a time. Weird and rare case of human micro being a lot better since a person would always be a better judge of when it should be triggered rather than just relying on his HP reaching a certain amount.

At level 15 Dehaka has 1800 HP, and Raynor does 300 damage with his penetrator round spell, so assuming it's against a level 15 Dehaka, and the Raynors all get their penetrator round off, it will take 6 Jim Raynors at least, probably double considering Dehaka's passive HP regen and his nomming ability which gives him HP, and of course assuming Tya doesn't start him with more HP than 1800 because as if he wasn't powerful enough, the co-op team didn't put a cap on his HP increases from essence past level 15, so he can theoretically get up to 394k HP before integer overflow happens and his HP gets reset back to a max of 1.
I think 150 Raynors VS 1 Dehaka should be enough

At least 1 shotgun blast was pretty wide. I bet theyd both have lived with some better micro
Especially since she was using the zombies natural enemy, The Shotgun.
I've never seem the assault Nova uses her decoy in these videos.

She blinked into a full surround. Did her best to throw the match, but the other Nova wasn't an idiot so they still won.
It's nice to see Rory and Jim. Raynor paired. Seems much more fair to do it like this. Should also add egon with them
Well, if we're adding Stetmann with them, gotta put Tychus there too to have the whole Belly of the Beast squad together.

@@smartbbrain probably, yeah. Elly of the veast is very much a "pick apart small groups of enemies to make constant progress" rather than what a lot of the other heros have to deal with, AKA blasting through a legion of hybrid ASAP.

The Alarak fight showed exactly what he's designed to fight - waves of easy to kill enemies that keep triggering his regen.
I think Artanis could've won if he used Astral Wings more efficiently.

These video's always take away his (and his people's) greatest passive, cloak. So yeah, he enters the fights with a handicap.

We all saw _Artanis Alone,_ how did he lose here?
In the novel 'Queen of Blades' there was a duel between raynor, zeratul and tassadar on one side and kerrigan on the other. Assuming you use only vanilla there is no tassadar there, but you could always swap him for karass or artanis and see if kerrigan could win that duel.
You can really tell how Blizzard changed to be hero focused instead of RTS focused in later games by how strong the hero units are. Jim is just a stronger marines for the most part. Kerrigan could basically faceroll her entire campaign on her own, with similar outcomes during the missions with hero's in legacy of the void.
Yup, and that made the campaign so much more enjoyable. "brutal" difficulty is a snooze fest without heroes to spice them up (although it is significantly easier)

I thought Dragoon Fenix might have some trouble, but his range is so high and the infested are so slow that he just incinerated them before they got close.

To no one's surprise, Fenix is the GOAT.
Nova may be the most powerful hero of humanity as unit(may be because of Mr. Findly and his friends). And I think that Alarak & Nova is better rivals than Artanis & Alarak. Alarak & Artanis is the same, but other sides of power, Nova vs Alarak is the battle between pure power and humanity progress power

Why does Artanis never use his healing skill before his resurrection and only after? that would get him the win...
He does use it, it's just that it seems to trigger when shields are 50% gone, when it restores both HP and shields and the player's supposed to use it sparingly, wasting it and letting him get killed by the long cooldown.
Is there a reason why Tosh is never in these videos?

(I didn't play as him much, I spent more time playing as Fenix).
Easiest 7/7 in a while.
Artanis is almost good, but not enough aoe. Broodlings are the real strength of infested.
Raynor's never gonna win.
Raynor and Rory fought infested civilians, not Stukov's infested.

Fenix could have soloed without losing any life.
The belly of the beast heroes r way too weak. Only tychus with his high army stands a chance. These fights just are based on shield/hp regen from the heroes or just strong ass ranged aoe and good armor/hp like with the dragoons.
