In the heart of the swarm cinematic, a viking is able to fire at an ultralisk for roughly 3 seconds before it is destroyed. Similar time for the first viking to die to the ultralisk.
Yay! First 6/6 in a long time! I felt I had these this time! 1. Not even a close call with that many Vikings. 2. Lings counter Immortals pretty well if they can surround. 3. Phoenix first means yamato fail, but I thought I had it wrong when I remembered how much armor BCs have. Carriers armor isn't anything to scoff at either though at 3/3. 4. Stalkers will blink back so distruptors will die to tanks. If Stalkers blinked forward it would have been an easy Toss win. 5. That is too many Zerg for Toss to handle... right? I was really not sure about this one but so happy once it was corruptor vs Tempest's slow attack speed. Once you get past that oneshot power of the Tempests they are just sitting ducks. 6. Ultras aoe will shread DTs who all blink right into them and they did (might have been different before the DT blink nerf? Maybe.)
I mean, was it really a waste considering the carriers were behind the phoenixes, meaning Yamato on them would have taken ages to pay off since the BCs would have attacked the phoenixes first, leaving carriers with 180 HP (probably more considering it would be enough time to recharge some shields) alive for a while, whereas Yamato on phoenixes were 1 shot and instant loss of DPS for Protoss
Actually Yamato-ing the Phoenixes is the right move. It instantly lowers the DPS of the the Phoenix fleet, versus damaging a Carrier. When I compared in the unit tester, it made a 100 HP difference for the BC. Remember both Carriers and Phoenixes suck balls vs BC's. Now if it were Tempests instead of Carriers, THEN you'd definitely want to Yamato the Tempests first.
Never underestimate Zerglings. I remember that I cleared both SC1 and SC2 Zerg campaigns mostly by only Zerglings lol. And all of those upgrades that they got in SC2 made them even more terrifying. They are the best example of "absolute strength in number".
Five outta six! Watching those carriers patiently whittle down a battlecruiser each was painful, but the like seven simultaneous explosions were glorious.
Could we maybe get a resources lost popup at the end of the match? I think it would be interesting to see how cost efficient the matchup was for the winner.
4/6... didn't realizez 6 vikings could do it. wonder if it wouldve been the same outcome if the vikings were closer together and ultra could splash damage
I knew the Mutalisk/Corruptor team would win. Phoenixes may counter Mutalisks, but they aren't designed for slugfests. When facing large numbers of Mutalisks, Phoenixes lose effectiveness if they don't hit-and-run. Trying to slug it out with Mutalisks is a bad idea for Phoenixes because of the glaives. Not to mention Corruptors counter both Phoenixes and Tempests.
Zerg units are painfully the most unbalanced units in the game. Mutalisks, shitty as they are, won't die easily, hit multiple units/buildings with their attacks, fly fast, AND regenerate out of combat within seconds. Then there are Zerglings and Banelings, the less said the better. Banelings are cheap, ridiculously cheap for the damage that they deal to even upgraded units. On top of that, Lurkers are super ranged and need a separate detection mechanism to be found. As if all of these aren't enough, you have units like Corruptors, Infestors, and Vipers, as well as Brood Lords and Swarm Hosts, because hey, why not? Even fucking Overlords get a flying speed upgrade. Like, what the actual fuck?? And apart from research like Baneling speed, they get creep movement bonus as well. No wonder they had a Zerg take the power of the Xel'Naga in the campaign - only the most overpowered race could've had that power anyway.
Imagine a game where each round you were given an option of 5 random units and an amount of credit to build an army, than your army fights against the other players army, and who wins more rounds wins the game
That's because Corruptor damage is pretty bad. They're mostly a relatively inexpensive wall of beef that does decently well against Massive. Funfact: a Corruptor vs Massive deals about the same amount of DPS as a stimmed Marine, before armor.
"What does it take to break entrenched siege tanks?" Send all the ultras, immortals, thors against an already sieged tank line. If it hasn't been done already, of course.
Have you tried putting the disruptors in front? Seems more more effective in these situations. Since it's quite dissimilar to normal games where you keep them in the back for potshots at long ranges.
Strength in numbers! Who knew chadmortals would lose to Zerglings? :P We can actually ignore the 7x difference in number because the Immortals were more expensive. Also, for some odd reason, the BCs did not fire all of their Yamato's at once. You see 15 BCs and 50 Phoenixes but after the Yamato shots, there are 42 Phoenixes instead of 35. Could have made a difference there.
Looks like the AI isn't immune to overkilling with Yamato :( sad performance from BCs EDIT: Wait, that's not it, at least not entirely, only about 10 or 11 actually fire... my guess is that in addition to overkill, the BCs target the same units, but when those units die to other Yamatos before they can fire, the AI realizes they're now in regular attack range and decides that it's more logical to start attacking rather than trying to Yamato again? Very odd.
This is what I like the best, just base game with no upgrades, campaign specific stuff. For these units I have by far the most intuition for their power level.
why were the carriers sent behind phoenix but the BC sent in front of the liberators? so their Yamato is spent on garbage and the capital ships remain protected while the useless birds take all the hits as bait? if capitals front, then for both capitals front and support back, wtf is that order??
In the heart of the swarm cinematic, a viking is able to fire at an ultralisk for roughly 3 seconds before it is destroyed. Similar time for the first viking to die to the ultralisk.
Leaving us to wonder what kind of dumbass pilot lands directly in front of a charging ultralisk

space tours for zerglings from immortals - sold)
1/6... Duuuude I had such hopes for my DTs. 😢
Marauders: "What is our purpose?"
Siege Tanks: "Take long enough to die that we can get into siege mode"
Watching the Battlecruisers waste their Yamato Cannons on those Phoenix instead of the Carriers was just painful...
If we put vikings instead of liberators there would be a ez win
@@卡拉-j9w nah liberators were the better choice because of the splash

If AI could micro BC then carriers would lost all interceptors.

That viking in Hearts of the Swarm cinematic should have brought 5 friends to take down Ultralisk
That quote at the end was amazing
0:50 One of the hardest hit and toughest units is swarmed by a swarm of the weakest unit.
zerglings can delete your armor

Always betting against toss is a good strat tho for sure

Zerglings: So you have chosen... death

Tempests used to hard counter mass air until they removed the AoE attacks. Idk what they are even good for these days.
@@halofornoobs93 I don't think Tempests ever had AoE attacks. That would've made them absolutely broken.

How many Ultralisks couls tackle Godzilla I wonder from Showa 1954 to the Monsterverse ro rhe Minus One Godzilla

6/6, nice. Well, in fact 5/5, because the result of the first fight was obvious from the video title
Man that disruptor-stalker-Siege tank combi looked sick
Gotta say, not a fan of the vertical format. The diagonals have more viewing room, I think.
Back in my day I had to teleport to and from school in the snow uphill in Both dimensions on one foot my other foot was starting a business
All I get from these battle videos is that Protoss units are woefully weak.
Cariers are the best! They are my favorite unit in both sc1 and sc2

If the DTs got the surround it would’ve been game over
Vikings on surface defeated even Siege tanks. I ve seen it somewhere.
Why Can't viking just shoot missile?
0/6 wow thats first time i didnt get anything right :D
What the hell is that final immortal quote lmao
Immortals channeling boomers... does that make dragoons Gen X and stalkers millennials?

6 viks kill 1 ultra?

Sc1 Terran music is the best
Dark Templars would do a lot better if they blinked *away* from melee units (like Stalker blink micro), but I still think Ultras had them beat

StarCraft 1 music rocks
Vertical mode looks bad
All units versus Dehaka
i dont like this battle angle
I am pretty sure if the liberators fired at the interceptors the terrans would have won that. Liberators cut through interceptors like butter.
those disruptors ...
