Ashley, when you all get your house built and have a moment, or five, to regroup, maybe consider welding sculpture as an art medium, you’re so incredibly talented. 🤩
My daughter just bought a couple weeks ago , her first jackery power supply. She is using it in her tiny house we built 4 years ago. Thanks for showing these new pieces of equipment that can make our lives that are off grid, or under construction, or in emergency situations, easier. We are also getting a costway mini split to cool her tiny house during our very hot summers.
Thank you @jackery for supplying this family with the solar generator! All this info I needed to see played out and explained. I've been looking for a power station and this is now on my list! So many options!!!!! Off grid becoming less and less of a dream and more and more of a reality!
Ash and Jonathon you always do your Sponsors Good, actually great. The display of the practical use of such a big purchase for a family or tradesman is a great point of sale. Cheers ❤ Now here’s to a tractor sponsor.
Ashley you and your girls are such an inspiration to girls & women everywhere? Just goes to show that women can do anything they set their minds to. ❤😊
I got that chop saw folding stand, absolutely love it. It fits more than just Dewalt saws, but the stand is sturdy, easy to use, not too heavy, folds up and carries great. Glad I didn't cheap out on it. As for your welding, Lass, you're rocking it. It don't have to be a row of dimes pretty... to work and work well. Keep on knocking all the projects out of the park.
Oh, oh, oh!!! So much to comment on...but first, thank you for the info on this Jackery unit!!! I have a friend who has been trying to decide on what company to order from and I've sent her a ton of videos from all kinds of companies but I'm thinking this unit might be just what she needs! And what an awesome demo you did, especially with running both the welder and the grinder both at the same time!! Wow!! I was impressed!! Ok, next, i had forgotten about your new welding jacket Ashley!!! I still love it and i know you do. Hardly anything hurts worse that a spark hitting you while concentrating on a weld, and for many hours afterwards! The caps turned out great! And i can't wait to see the update that you showed a sneak peak on Casa de Caca! I saw a washing machine which is super exciting!!!! Oh boy!!! Hope you are having a great Thanksgiving Weekend!!!!!!❤
I feel your giddyness! We just out in our permanent power line from the pole. Took us almost a year to get it done but this winter will not be on a extension cord! Now we're waiting on the mini split that's sitting on a skid outside to be installed, nothing like waiting for winter to hit. Better late than never 😊
Hi guys! 🙂 Wow that Jackery 5000 Plus is impressive. The fact that it can run that big DeWALT miter saw is awesome, the inrush current on those is insane! When I built a couple solar systems a few years back an inverter that could handle that was either big, heavy and noisy or very expensive. 5 KWh of LiFePO4 in that small package is also great. Ashley, your welds look great! The quality (and your confidence 🙂) increased with each one! Good Job! "I don't even know who I am anymore!" 😂 I bet in the long run having a nice shop would get the house built faster. Once you're roofing it and doing the finish work you'll be working with wood a lot and a shop housing a bunch of power tools would speed it up considerably (and make it more fun/less frustrating). Hope you guys had a nice Thanksgiving!
I love watching you weld! Not just because you have fun welding but because you're chill about it too! I have a Lincoln Weldpack 100 that I've had for years. Turns out there's flux core stainless wire for it so I might try stainless welding once I make space in the garage. I also have a generic Chinese made stick welder and aluminum rods so that's on the agenda. But at 17F I'm not going outside right now. (People argue the desert gets cold but Midwestern winters are brutal. I speak from experience. )
I got a small jackery years ago and it still works well. The big one we have is another brand, but it's quiet and does not smell of diesel. Yay! From all the things you could do with it, that puppy is POWERFUL! Hooray. I do have table saw envy - don't judge me. 😄
alternative method (for other viewers out there) i learned working in the oil field.... when you are setting the posts in concrete, mix a seperate amount in a bucket, shove some of the empty bag a short distance down the top of the pipe, and fill with the bucket concrete. the top can be flush or rounded as you wish. the jackery looks great, possibly want one for a short term back up system at my suburban household.
The fence caps look great 👍. Love that you’re excited about getting a new chop saw, I understand completely …in my younger days, those types of tools were on my wish list…❤. Flush toilet ❤❤❤
Yes I’m shocked you never had a mitre saw table. My gosh what a luxury? In your case I think it’s a necessity. Man that Jackery seems awesome. Now that is a luxury. NICE!!!
I’m delighted for you Ashley. A saw, a washing machine, AND a flushing toilet! Look at you leading a life of luxury😊😊😊 Next thing you know we will have to pry you off your rocker on the porch. 😅😅😅
Wow, amei assistir o vídeo no meu idioma.👏👏👏👏 Muito top, parabéns. Amo vcs e assisto todos os vídeos, gostei muito dessa nova ferramenta do UA-cam. Beijo grande do Brasil 🇧🇷🇧🇷😘👍🏼😘
Nice work Ashley and Jonathan. Isn’t it nice to be able to use your real tools. It’s better than getting flowers, (sometimes.). good job everyone. Hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving together.
Love the saw! I just bought myself a new one but haven’t opened it yet. It’s going to make such a huge difference for you. It’s bound to save you some time too.
Ahhh! Ash is a saw nerd! LOL:) those saws are great to have for the accuracy that you pointed out, just love em, from another tool nerd in Oz. Hi Jon and kids too, you’re all great. Take care and stay safe. Yep that jackery seems impressive.
Thanks for updating on a holiday weekend. Hope your Thanksgiving was great. Thanks for sharing info about the Jackery 5000 plus. Love those accordion panels! Circa 1998, there were not a lot of affordable options for solar powering stuff. We invested in 6 used quad arco lams from California, and six deep cycle fork lift batteries. They worked, but they were also required a whole lot of hands-on manipulation. This set up looks so easy!
Can you use the grinder and the welder at the same time is my question because if so that’s a game changer in my book. And as I type this you guys start the actual test 😅 12:00
Not really...our battery storage in our larger system is about 3x what Jackery sent us (though you could build out 2x what we have with a second 5000 plus and more battery packs). And we have like 10x the solar panels on our bigger system. But This could be the base of something very large for sure :)
I have been looking at power banks. There seems to be some good ones. Semiretired Bob uses the jackery stuff. Seeing you guys use it made me want to get it. At least a smaller init.
“Pro” tip. When welding in the field, especially around dry grass, have a fire extinguisher handy. It’d be a tragedy to burn down your place, and have your new “generator” on fire with a runaway lithium fire. 🔥 Maybe you had one close by, but I didn’t see it in any of the video. 😁
Not so much the rain on the 6-in casing but you could have problems with wasps or other insects and critters such as birds making nests in the pipe. Honey bees would just be a nuisance but it could happen. It was good to cap them.
Ashley you have mastered welding great job. The caps do look nice. You need a fitters cap to cover your hair. ❤ I use to make them for my late husband. You definitely should make some metal art for the property. ❤❤
the caps on the pipe (posts) will help prevent insects (Bees, wasps, etc.) from building a hive inside the pipe, but i guess they could still get in where the rails are inserted.
Beautiful work.... are there any advisories of where or how you should store your new generator so it will not discharge on you when it is not out on the job with you.... Every step the walls go higher and you are both thinking it through and those window and door frames are inspiring.....
As long as you fully turn it off it should hold it's charge pretty well. Leaving it on, the inverter will have a draw and drain the batteries over time.
Very FUN video to watch. Thank you so very much for sharing. And the first video that I have found showing the Solarsaga 500 X panels in use. Can you tell us about how much actual input to the Jackery 5000 Plus was?? I am close to making a purchase, but there is not data out there on the actual panels.
From the panels? Not a ton - maybe 200-300 watts during peak of the day. For a unit this size you're really going to need a very large array to keep it charged.
Great job welding but where were the fire extinguishers. The extinguisher is a must when welding where there is grass or any thing that can catch fire.
We're definitely not using the chemicals from fire extinguishers on our land, especially near the goats. We keep water close by. Have covered this many times in past videos. Time of year, wind, all play a factor for when it's safe to weld.
Yeah this market has matured pretty quickly. There are quite a few options and brands to choose from. Overall they seem to be pretty comparable, but this is by far the biggest one we've ever used. Pretty impressive.
Where are you guys? Have you forgotten to post a video? Anxiously awaiting the video of your seminar building your house. That was in November. Hope everyone is well, you are missed.

What's that all the kids are saying these days??? "No Cap"?
@@TinyShinyHome oh we can use this product during hurricane season...we have a generator and it is SO complicated to use.
Ashley, when you all get your house built and have a moment, or five, to regroup, maybe consider welding sculpture as an art medium, you’re so incredibly talented. 🤩
Tools are everything. It was so cool of Jackery to send you the generator.
There's a reason Jackery is the talk of the nation. It's not just for emergencies, it's for thriving!
I miss you guys. Hooray for Jackery 🎉
New power source, new saw and new pants. Dang life is good. You deserve it all and so much more.

Interesting Video, The Jackery 5000 is Awesome. Happy for Ashley with her new Saw and Welding outfit.

You guys are soooo AWESOME! The jackery is impressive, but I'm more impressed with Ashley!!! YOU GO GIRL!
Ash and Jonathon you always do your Sponsors Good, actually great.
The display of the practical use of such a big purchase for a family or tradesman is a great point of sale.
Cheers ❤
Now here’s to a tractor sponsor.
DeWalt needs to sponsor you!!😊
I’ve never seen DeWalt sponsor anyone. I think they know that homesteaders will buy them regardless.
What a good example your family is at showing how continual learning and working together brings about good outcomes. You guys are inspiring. :)
Ashley you and your girls are such an inspiration to girls & women everywhere? Just goes to show that women can do anything they set their minds to. ❤😊

Kudos! I love seeing another woman learning to weld! I just started this year myself.
😂”talk Nerdy to me baby”
Video was way more exciting than I thought, based on the title. Who knew?!?!? 😆
I feel your giddyness!

Hope you guys had a nice Thanksgiving!
Ashley the chop saw is my favorite tool in the world!! Welcome to being able to cut wood straight or at angles WAY easier!! 🎉❤
I love watching everything you guys do. I am glad I found you
✝️❤️
Wow 15% for the whole project, color me impressed
i love watching you guys exist!!! Thank you for sharing and being so inspirational!!
That Jackery is a nice break from a loud generator. Love the new chop saw. Sure will make building window forms easier. I need one
I love watching you weld! Not just because you have fun welding but because you're chill about it too!
I have a Lincoln Weldpack 100 that I've had for years. Turns out there's flux core stainless wire for it so I might try stainless welding once I make space in the garage.

I agree with you Ashley, nothing compares to the clean accurate cut from a good mitre saw! Love it!!!
I got a small jackery years ago and it still works well. The big one we have is another brand, but it's quiet and does not smell of diesel. Yay! From all the things you could do with it, that puppy is POWERFUL! Hooray. I do have table saw envy - don't judge me. 😄

Yeah you can totally do that too!
Good morning how was your Thanksgiving 🦃 have a great day and enjoy life as goes on each day God bless you guys
The fence caps look great 👍. Love that you’re excited about getting a new chop saw, I understand completely …in my younger days, those types of tools were on my wish list…❤. Flush toilet ❤❤❤
Thx Jackery! Can't wait for the new improved potty shack + more house!!🎉
Good morning. It's nice to wake up to a new video.
Very informative! I currently use Bluetti, but this Jackery looks excellent
Yes I’m shocked you never had a mitre saw table. My gosh what a luxury? In your case I think it’s a necessity.
Man that Jackery seems awesome. Now that is a luxury. NICE!!!
Y'all are getting things done. It sure looks awesome.
Thank you for putting caps on the posts. Those caps protect birds from trying to nest inside the post and dying from the heat in the summer.
Pretty nice job welding Ashley, keep those cups coming Johathon.
Teamwork is dream work......
Next get a track saw. You’ll love that too. I like it more than a table saw. 😊
Merhaba efendim, harika işler sizi kutlarım, Türkiye'den selamlar sevgiler.
I’m delighted for you Ashley. A saw, a washing machine, AND a flushing toilet! Look at you leading a life of luxury😊😊😊 Next thing you know we will have to pry you off your rocker on the porch. 😅😅😅
Ooo, Ashley! Gurl got her some new pants!! ❤ Looking good!!
A saw and a flushing toilet...it's those little things in life that make it sooo good.
I've missed you guys. I know you have been busy.
Wow, amei assistir o vídeo no meu idioma.👏👏👏👏 Muito top, parabéns. Amo vcs e assisto todos os vídeos, gostei muito dessa nova ferramenta do UA-cam. Beijo grande do Brasil 🇧🇷🇧🇷😘👍🏼😘
I love that Jackery system!
Oooo oh, dear Jackery……I would love one please. Thank you.
Nice work Ashley and Jonathan. Isn’t it nice to be able to use your real tools. It’s better than getting flowers, (sometimes.). good job everyone. Hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving together.
A saw and a toilet. What more can a woman want! ❤
The Jackery is a great addition to your homestead.
Love the saw! I just bought myself a new one but haven’t opened it yet. It’s going to make such a huge difference for you. It’s bound to save you some time too.

Wow that's fricking amazing it's the complete setup no stuffing around and 240 so we can use it in Australia
Hello & good morning 🌞❤❤❤❤❤❤
🎥🎬Espectacular…
That’s awesome a blessing to have making the jobs easy thankful 😌
A little tip when welding together different thickness of metals, focus your arc more to the thicker metal.
Thank you ❤❤❤❤
We live in the Carolinas. Just experienced Helene. We don’t have a generator. This will be a dinner discussion tonight. Thanks. d
Love this for you guys! 🎉
Wow! Thank you Jackery! I'm saving my money for one!
The solar market has really matured in the last couple of years for sure. It's crazy what you can get now :)
Since Jackery sponsored you hope Dewalt does too. Love your shop saw set up. Jackery is our jam too. Happy for you.❤
If only I could give double thumbs up for a double slide episode ;)
Can you use the grinder and the welder at the same time is my question because if so that’s a game changer in my book. And as I type this you guys start the actual test 😅 12:00
Dude!! Did I understand this correctly? You just DOUBLED your solar capacity?! For free. That's awesome.
Not really...our battery storage in our larger system is about 3x what Jackery sent us (though you could build out 2x what we have with a second 5000 plus and more battery packs). And we have like 10x the solar panels on our bigger system. But This could be the base of something very large for sure :)
Ashley, you need to give welding lessons! I would get so much done if only I could weld.
Mitre saw!!!!AND a table!!!!❤❤❤ You are gonna wear out some blades lady!!!!
Have you stopped working on the roundhouse for the year as you haven't shown any vlogs on work for it?
Nope we're making huge progress on the roundhouse. Editing is backlogged 😂
Definitely going to have to look into this 🙌🏻
Yay -- it's the welding shirt!
And did you see the new pants?
I have been looking at power banks. There seems to be some good ones. Semiretired Bob uses the jackery stuff. Seeing you guys use it made me want to get it. At least a smaller init.
I’m here for the goats.
A saw and a toilet: what more could ya ask for...LOL
“Pro” tip. When welding in the field, especially around dry grass, have a fire extinguisher handy. It’d be a tragedy to burn down your place, and have your new “generator” on fire with a runaway lithium fire. 🔥
Maybe you had one close by, but I didn’t see it in any of the video. 😁
Yes we always have water close by of course. Not a fire extinguisher though. Don’t want those chemicals sprayed everywher.
Love your work 👏🏻👏🏻☀️
Not so much the rain on the 6-in casing but you could have problems with wasps or other insects and critters such as birds making nests in the pipe.
Honey bees would just be a nuisance but it could happen.

Ashley you have mastered welding great job. The caps do look nice. You need a fitters cap to cover your hair. ❤ I use to make them for my late husband. You definitely should make some metal art for the property. ❤❤
If I was a betting man.. I can see that workshop being started very soon. 😅 no, no house first!
the caps on the pipe (posts) will help prevent insects (Bees, wasps, etc.) from building a hive inside the pipe, but i guess they could still get in where the rails are inserted.
They’re welded in actually
drag welding for flux core
so point weld nozzle to left while u move right
Nice Jackery.❤
I think Ashley will be welding art sculptures soon! 🤞
The caps keep the yellow jackets from building nests in the pipes.
Nice. Love the caps. Cheers
Greetings from Pakistan
My next question is, in the desert do you have to worry about the battery bank over heating
The battery? No. The inverter? Yeah you'd want to keep it in the shade during the summer. This time of year no problem, though.
On your fence cap project, what was the total power draw for the whole thing
I think we said we used 12% of the 5kWh battery 👍🏼
Okay, mind blown
Beautiful work.... are there any advisories of where or how you should store your new generator so it will not discharge on you when it is not out on the job with you.... Every step the walls go higher and you are both thinking it through and those window and door frames are inspiring.....
As long as you fully turn it off it should hold it's charge pretty well. Leaving it on, the inverter will have a draw and drain the batteries over time.
Nice caps. Or as the goats would say, "Not baaaa-d."
Very FUN video to watch. Thank you so very much for sharing. And the first video that I have found showing the Solarsaga 500 X panels in use. now... if only you could get DeWalt on board, that would be sweet!!
Great job welding but where were the fire extinguishers. The extinguisher is a must when welding where there is grass or any thing that can catch fire.

LOL Remember an artist with a grinder can make any weld look. Heh, Heh
Nice Generator👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂
Just remember Diesel Creek says a grinder and paint make me the welder I ain't.
😂
Very interesting. So you have eco flow offering power boxes. And now Jackery. Do you have a preference?
Yeah this market has matured pretty quickly. There are quite a few options and brands to choose from. Overall they seem to be pretty comparable, but this is by far the biggest one we've ever used. Pretty impressive.
@ thank you
Where are you guys? Have you forgotten to post a video? Anxiously awaiting the video of your seminar building your house. That was in November. Hope everyone is well, you are missed.
Thanks :) Casa de Caca rebuild comes out tomorrow- then we’re back to the house.
Can't you find caps that just fit over the top of the pipes?
And you use other solar panels?
You can use whatever panels you want pretty much. Just have to spec it out according to what it can do.
@ nice.😃
