@godwhyisthistaken there were two versions, uk surf was recorded in scotland in 1989 it is this version that is much slower than the original fast and more rocking version :)
the UK surf version was on the "Pump Up the Volume" motion picture soundtrack in the early 90's and became instant radio play. Soundtracks, John Peel Show and KROQ were how we found out about good music before the internet. Google that shit.
