Hello my friend Idk how to thank you for all these videos, I've already bought a V6 Passat 2002 and I've had to struggle with some issues, most of them had been explained and solved thanks to you, I don't know which is the OE OEM number of the valve gasket , do you know where I can find it? send you greetings from Chile and strong hug to you master!
Much respect! I definitely got a lot more to show. Yea, mine is a glx 4motion wagon. These cars were designed ahead of their time, they still have a lot of features that some newer cars these days don't have.
Your a beast man! Make everything look so easy ‼️ keep up the great work brother ! Do you have a discord account or something to get ahold of you for a question? My car was running fine a couple days ago, woke up the next day and didn’t want to turn over… no clicks just a really slow short turn then nothing 🤦♂️
Great video man. Were your gaskets leaky before you did this? Been looking to do this because I know mine are and I'm also chasing a slow oil leak and wondering if this could be where most of it is going. Oil tends to fall onto the manifold shields and burn off.
@@CraftyWorkshopBuilds True, valve cover leakage, camshaftseal, half moon seal leakages are mainly caused by a bad functioning or clogged PCV system. Always check and repair the PCV system first.
i did it ,, the driver side tho ... what a pain ,, the hoses from the cooling tank in the way of the bottom nuts ,, was a bit scetchy but thank you for your video

Much respect, I'm happy you found my videos helpful! Gasket link is in the description.
Another good video. I'd suggest you talk a little more for instance about tools you use to ensure correct gasket placement. Well done!
As im in the process of buying one. I see it isnt so scary this replacement. Certainly easyer than the alfa V6s.
Great channel bro.keep it up. Love the diy’s on the b5.5. I have a 04 glx 4 motion sedan on air ride.

If it’s a b5 Passat check the CCM ( comfort control module) fuses
Hey man great video thanks ! One question, what is RTV and what is it's fonction ?
It's a silicone like glue, it's to help to create a proper seal and prevent the oil from leaking out.

Yes, my gasket was leaking. You might want to check the PCV, if it's bad it might cause the valve cover gasket to leak.
@@CraftyWorkshopBuilds After I watched this I saw your PCV video, thanks for the tip

@@OlafBathoorn Replaced the PCV, unfortunately didn't stop the leak. Probably going to try this next. Luckily both are not terribly expensive to do.
@@secret_ham yes, first fix your pcv system be sure it's functioning ok, then you can go on to do the valve cover or other seals
hey, can a bad vvt cause that cam chain to start making a ticking/knocking sound under the valve cover
thank youuuuuuuuu
Much respect!
Good video, how about the other side?
the other side is pretty much the same process.
hey brother .great video.thank you for that .. can you post a link to where you bought the gaskets please?

Much respect, I'm happy you were able follow the video and do the replacement.
@@CraftyWorkshopBuilds thank you man ..
Low compression on cylinder 2/3 of my Audi b5 2.8. Also a misfire on 2/3. Compression is reading 20 on 2/3. I’m thinking this is my issue?
Nah, a damage valve cover gasket wouldn't cause low compression in the cylinder.
Гнет ли клапана ? При тбрыве ремня грм
Yes, they will bend if the belt breaks while the engine is running.
Awesome ...
