people who are saying that the cage is too small, you can keep a rabbit in a small cage, as long as they have extra time outside their cage, I used to have a rabbit, he had a small cage, he was free ranged in 2 rooms for most of the day, and only slept, ate, went to the bathroom, and played in it
Malou August do you know anything because it doesn't matter if they go outside and exercise they still need a big cake shop around it's not fair for them to just be sitting in a small space so you can shut your old mouth and will be fine miss mayo august
Malo aagust stupid head welcome to the real world, way what planet did you live on friggin stupid land that's probably why you don't know anything😂😂😂🙉🙊😹🙅😹🙊🙄
I'm planning on using my dog's old cage. The cage is meant for XL dogs so it will fit my rabbit perfectly. It has a wire floor so I have to replace that with a tray. I need to get him out of his cage, its a larger pet store cage, so he has enough room. I let him run around at times, so he has enough time to stretch his legs. :) Definitely gonna do this!
Noo!!! Watch someone else cuz that is definitely not what you need for a rabbit at least she could do is change the litter box and that cages really small I don't care if you don't like my comment if you want your bunny to die fasting do this if you don't want your bunny to die fast then don't do this get a playpen get a cat litter box a little bit behind houses food hey and other things you need do not take her advice for it!!!!
This actually a reasonable size and nicely decorated etc. For the people posting comments that its too small. I think u do need to know more about whether the rabbit is a house bunny or goes outside, how often they get out of their cage, what interaction they have with their owners etc. There are so many variables that affect whether a bunny is happy and healthy and you shouldn't just to conclusions unless u know the whole story
When I get a rabbit I'm using a dog cage because I don't have that much room in my bedroom but I will probably get a bigger dog cage than you though love the idea❤️💕
Queen Kera wow little girl that's really nice not this is actually a pretty good quality video keep up the good work and you're sure to write this up your subscribers. This is funny because you have 34 subscribers how about you shut up and learn how to get them before you talk about it miss slime head and don't be such a jerk when you don't Madda roast because someone else will roast you I would roast you but you're not worth the time
I would recemended adding a x pen all around it. That is good bc than he has room to run around. Just leave the door open and he can use the cage as like a big playhouse. That’s what I am doing for my new bunny!
For all the comments that are saying this is to small I have one slightly bigger than this and the only time he is locked in is during the night while I’m sleeping or if nobody is in the house The rest of the time he can go in and out whenever and I’m pretty sure that’s what most people do and at least it’s better than the rabbit cages you buy at a pet shop
i think you should use a water bowl instead of a bottle because they need alot of water and that does not give them enough, but overall amazing cage!!!!very helpful, they drink as much water as a 20lbs dog drinks, fyi
What dog breed is your profile picture? The reason I ask is because, I had a very similar looking dog but, I do not know what the breed is. It is not a toy Yorkie, I believe. Also, the actor and youtuber Brennen Taylor, has a similar looking dog.
I'm getting my rabbit Friday and my sis is giving me her extra large dog cage. My rabbit will be a free roam bunny and plus I'm a stay at home mom. My rabbit will have a lot of roam time
Nikki Brown that sounds amazing!! No need for this tiny dog cage, free roam is the best option. Just make sure he or she gets spayed or neutered to help with aggression, hormones, behavioural issues, reproductive cancers and infection, and risk of reproducing with others!! I am very happy for you, rabbits are great animals, and it’s great that you’re free ranging him or her. I suggest watching @lennonthebunny
We might be moving and then my buns will have to live in my room :( and it's a very small room so they would have to live in a XL dog crate (of course during the day they would free roam) but I dont think it provides enough space! Does any one have any ideas for me? Or do you guys think it's fine if my pair of buns stay in a "cage" during the night?
That cage has not that much space you cant have those pellets to hid the stink the bunny will eat them and the bunny needs to be able to do a °360 angel in the letter box and he looks like he's trapped in a prison cell.
Hello! I just bought a bunny and a dog cage but im afraid she going to poop and pee every where so i was thinking about getting a grid, can a grid attach to the cage?
oh great my I want to turn my old dog kennel into a rabbit cage but everyone is allergic to them and I also have a doggy play pen so I could attach it to the kennel I'm in trouble now 😂😂
@@victoriam2385 you can give a hand every day. and if the tray is empty at the end of the day, you can give a hand every day. what you saw in this bin was really too much. prefer hay.
Storm And Clover Or they could just have greens instead!😂 One fact is that fruits can be treats for them but should not have it everyday (can give tummy ache) I don’t feed my bunnies pellets I give them either spring mix or romaine lettuce with spinach and sometimes carrots with it or fruits. :) just something I thought I wanted to say *your totally right,no hate*
It shouldn’t be in a cage and it shouldn’t have a bottle because it does not get enough water and can get dehydrated not trying to be mean just trying to help
I wanna do this for a guinea pig but my parents wont let me get one only hamsters and yes i have a 40 gallon tank for my hamster cause that a good size but anyway even though im almost thirteen and im really responsible
considering you are only considering one guineapig, i dont think you are ready for one. you need atleast too, also rabbits are different to guineapigs, so you should watch videos on guineapig cages, like c&c ones.
Instead of putting a guinea pig in the crate you should check out c and c grids that can be used as storage shelves they can be found on amazon and are inexpensive look up some videos on this type of cage
I think this is perfectly fine, IF it has a lot time out of the room. Like maybe free roaming if you can? If you can’t free roam make sure you can. But I think if the rabbit is growing, you should Get a bigger one. But good idea.
I'm trying to get a bunny but the stuff we looked at was a lot so I really like this because I have way more pets then I should but my fav pet store hade bunnies and let use hold them and I fell in love with one
Nooo!!! What is a horrible litter box and a horrible cage cuz the rabbits can't jump and that litter box is way too small you have to get a cat litter box in a small litter box
This is much too small. People can say what they want, but the minimum sized cage for a rabbit is 4 feet by 4 feet. This is what? 2 feet by a foot. Nope!! Sorry. Wayyyy too tiny and sad for a bun to live in, even if it is part time. Good idea though, there are huge dog crates, if you got a bigger one it would be better. But dog exercise pens are bigger and cheaper so I recommend one of those for your rabbits!!

Yes thank you for agreeing
Malou August what would you do to supervise it? and if you have a 9-5 is that inhumane?
Colleen Carr you just let it free in a rabbit proof room, and a 9-5 isnt
Malou August do you know anything because it doesn't matter if they go outside and exercise they still need a big cake shop around it's not fair for them to just be sitting in a small space so you can shut your old mouth and will be fine miss mayo august

Dianna Winkelmann I know this was 7 months ago but just in case no one has said anything definitely put a tray down
Dianna Winkelmann that’s what I was thinking I’ve got the largest size from pets at home (if your British) because I’ve got German Shepard’s
Just change the scent, your rabbit can smell dog
You’ve done almost exactly what I was hoping to do plus given me a couple of other good ideas. Thank you!!

i also have my bunny in a good size dog crate. its expensive , but its a strong nice cage

Looks like your bunny really loves his cage! :D
I really like what you did and the rabbit looks comfortable in it.

how did you make the second level/shelf? i want to put one in my dog crate - rabbit cage but i don’t know how
ik i want to do that too but no one has answered me!
she said she screwed the boards on the outside into the carpet board! screws above the wires
Thank you so much!😁 This is SO helpful and isn't too fancy!👍👍
This is a great idea! I made the crate a home base for my bunny, but he also has access to the rest of the house.
That's awesome! Bunnies love free range so darn much 🤣
I did this! My dog cage is the same size. I made some floors and levels for my bunny and she loves it. Thx
But my dog cage was bigger
I have done the same thing with my🐇🐰
I'm thinking of a dog crate for my bunny and this is perfect exactly what I was hoping for
That's a really good idea! Good video 👍
I LOVE your videos!
how did you build the shelf? I bought this cage for rabbit, which is coming home in two weeks

I have a big room but l share it with my sister and we kinda hate eachother so it’s split perfectly so l basically have half a room

Great ideas
This so helpful. Vert good idea. Thank you❤🐰
Thankyou for this vid
This is what I use over night only rest of the time there in big runs or roaming the garden or garage.

Any tips for litter training a rabbit?❤
u should add a marble tile! Maybe ur bunny will like it since it nice and cool! :D
Edit: *Helps for hot days :)*
she lives in england.
Hannah Renèe cool.
@@BiAAATCH09 ? the point is that there are never hot days in england unless there is a very rare heatwave
The cage is a little small but other then that the rabbit looks healthy
The cage size is fine because its just used as a home base, i think the only issue is the litter box size
I loved this video. Thank you. I just wondered what length the screws are to fix the shelf?
I’ve done the same thing with my bunny!
I’m not trying to cause a problem but the loft is in the way of your rabbit getting in the litter box so maybe just try to consider changing it
what is the measurements of your cage? I am looking at a 48 inches by 30 inches by 32.5 inches. So I want to be sure it is big enough.
Worst idea. My bunny climbed it and hung upside for hours thank god I found him in time
What size is your dog crate?
What size crate is this?
I was thinking about doing something like this, but turning it into a ferret cage
I know that this is a while ago but just so you know, water bowls are best for bunnies

It’s fine
Where do you usually keep Arlo’s water? Does he have a dish or bottle?
What was the measurements of the dog crate?
Hey so I just had a question do you give the bunny free time
And they are also going to go onto our balcony in a large pen during the day as it is an apartment!
That cage has not that much space you cant have those pellets to hid the stink the bunny will eat them and the bunny needs to be able to do a °360 angel in the letter box and he looks like he's trapped in a prison cell.

How does your Rabbit not poo anywhere else in the cage? Mine does that
I use these for a guinea pig I found in a dumpster
I want to get a bunny but i also go to school for 8 hours a day will a dog cage like this one be good for my bunny well im at school??
Probably not
Yes that’s ok if you give it a few hours a day out of the cage
Rabbits don't need that any pellets, an 1/8 of a cup is normally good
Binkie Rabbits babies can have unlimited
It depends what the pellets are and he doesn't look like a baby to me
@@victoriam2385 you can give a hand every day. and if the tray is empty at the end of the day, you can give a hand every day. what you saw in this bin was really too much. prefer hay.

can you buy this cage off of Amazon?
What size is that cage?
I did this whith a 48' inch dog crate from amazon I paid £50 for it and bought it 6months ago
Can you use it for a Guinea pig
I was going to ask the same thing! I think it would probably work for guinea pigs
No, dont use this for guinea pigs. They need lots of flat floor space. Its not smart to use ramps/ multiple levels
Kait Spqghetti this doesn't have ramps or multi levels though..
Yes, it does, the food dish is on a ledge, and even if it didnt the floor space is way too small.
Kait Spqghetti she let's the bunnies out probably
could I put a giant rabbit in the xxl for the night as I'm getting a free range rabbit but I was wondering if I could keep her in it
POTATO ARMY bunny proof your home so he can free roam. This dog crate is too small.
can you set a link for the site u got it crate from???
You’ve put way too much food in his tray. Other then that, this is a pretty good cage as home base but not as his permanent enclosure

Unless your putting mesh or something over it
Where is his water?
My hamster had a hide away just like the one and my hamster totally distorted it with in a week
could I also keep a guinie pig??
