Here in the UK, that would shut the entire country's train network down for months while they figure out what "type" of snow it is, decide how to remove it, a few months of train drivers on strike because the tracks are still slightly moist, a judge led inquiry as to how the snow got there in the first place then the health and safety executive to determine whether it's safe to use... Then another strike because the drivers seat is a bit too low.

@@gregoryhainsworth2663 Not sure what you mean. My husband just retired from BNSF after 25 years. He used to say the trains were getting longer. CP trains cross the back of our yard, on a shared UP track. Those are some very long trains-four to five locomotives in the front, one in the center and sometimes two on the end, climbing to Sandpoint and north from there. I’d never stand that close to a locomotive especially on a snowy track but awesome video!
For as far back as I can remember, whenever we had to wait for a train, we turned off the engine and either pulled out something to read whilst we waited, or counted carriages. The longest train I ever had to wait for had 235 carriages, six locomotives front back and centre, and a caboose.

In Canada, the trains just have to get through, no matter the snow conditions. :) Awesome bit of Railfanning video by containerman2 on UA-cam.
And in the UK London comes to a standstill when we have 2 inches of snow.
2 inches, far less than that. A sprinkling of snow or a few leaves grind all to a halt here in UK. Pathetic.
@PJ Scotland no, I pay enough tax as it is. Snow wouldn't be an issue for me in any case as I have a Nissan Patrol!
pure power. insane.
Thats Canada for you folks. :)
that looks dangerous. how does the train driver see to steer and keep the train on the tracks?
Steer a train?
Laersico
:)
Ummm... FYI: trains do not have any steering equipment, because there's no need for such a thing. The tracks does the "steering". And how in the world could you even steer something that long and heavy in a first place? :D
You must feel so stupid.
Trains do steer. Get it right.
Probably the most viewed video from my Hometown that'll ever touch UA-cam lol
I watched this when I was like 3 or 4 and I loved it
Mother Nature- snow's too deep"
Train-" Hold my beer"🤣🤣🚂
Love the low tech lens cleaner.
LOL! I was thinking the same thing!
Absolutely Epic video. Lucky you to see that in person. Tks for sharing.🥰👍
This is the most "meanwhile in Canada" thing I've ever seen.
CANADA! FK YEAH!
The people's socialist republic of Canada I think it's now known as.
Wow, that's some engine pulling that lot behind. I've never seen such a long train as that. Tremendous film
Train: look how much powder I blew through!!!
Charlie Sheen: hold my mirror.
